We are experienced diners at mcdonalds. It's hard to judge and rate locations as each one has its own perks and drawbacks. What I can say about this location is that the service may be slower but the quality, attention to detail and precision is unbeatable. Jose runs a tight ship. Some locations serve warm coffee that tastes like decaf. Some serve hot coffee with grounds in it. This location never ceases to amaze me with the freshness and dedication to their craft. This location of McDonald's is located in Greenhouse Marketplace. There are usually plenty of parking spots scattered around on this side of the plaza. This location is convenient, as it is right by the freeway. I go here at least once or twice a month and the last 5 visits has not been good experiences. My go to lately is their Chicken McNuggets or Filet-O-Fish with their fries and sweet tea. There is always a problem with the order from missing condiments to cold food to wrong food and other mistakes as well. The employees are not the best at fixing the problems they caused and sometimes it takes multiple employees to fix one simple problem. On my last visit, the employee took awhile to take my order (drive-thru), so I spoke up and he told me to give him a few more minutes, which I did. At this moment, another car in the other drive-thru lane literally just pulled up and started to order right away and I was confused of this unfair experience, but I let it go. I was eventually able to order - I even made a special request for unsalted fries. I paid and a few minutes later, my order was ready, which was confusing, as I made a special order, so I asked the employee at the second window. He said I have to order it if I want the unsalted fries, which I told him I did and it is rung up as so, but he still did not seem open to fix it, so I just took it as a L and left with my food. They did forget some condiments I asked for and the chicken nuggets were soggy as well. On my previous visit before that, the employee did take awhile to take our order and after we paid, we were told to pull up to the first spot for curbside pickup. They gave us part of order first, while we waited. We waited 10 minutes and no one came out, and my sundae was already melting. Another 5 minutes passed, so we had to go inside to check and the employee who helped us went on break - we waited another 5 minutes before anyone came to the counter and another 5 minutes to get the rest of our order. I went to this location today . I ordered a cheeseburger no onions, no pickles two fried apple pies. I was redeeming the code to get a free medium fry & soda, or refresher drink. The employee at the window said no it cannot be a soda. It has to be a refresher drink. I asked to speak to a manager. Supervisor wouldn't substitute soda for fresh drink . I told him to enjoy the burger and drove off. McDonald's must be doing very well not to substitute a Coke for a refresh your drink, but I realized now that I'm home the code does say refresh your drink or soda. Located in the San Leandro Greenhouse Plaza, off of the 880 freeway/238 interchange, this McDonald's shares a parking lot with other businesses in the plaza. Expect parking can be tight as the only parking spaces up front are mostly for disabled and curb-side pickup. They have 2 drive thru lanes which are usually congested and the lines can block traffic coming in and out of the parking lot. I've been here a handful of times and the service has been okay. However, what I appreciate about this location is when collecting the McDonald's Lil McDonald's Happy Meal toys, the team has always answered my phone calls to tell me which toys they were carrying. This helped to save a trip over to the restaurant - Thank you! When it comes to their food, it's hit or miss. It all depends on who is preparing the food, how long they keep the fries in the fryer, etc. Overall the food has been okay, it's almost what you'd expect from a McDonald's. The dine-in experience is relatively clean and there are kiosks available to order from or a counter if you want that in-person experience. :) read more

I've been coming to McDonald's for over a decade, and this location is hands down the worst I've experienced. Almost every visit involves a wrong order or missing items. Ordering inside means standing around for a long time waiting for your food. The dining area is frequently dirty -- tables not wiped down, floors messy. There are also ongoing issues with loitering that make the environment uncomfortable. On our most recent visit, we found what appeared to be urine on one of the cup lids. It was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. We ended up throwing away the entire order because we didn't feel it was safe. That should never happen at any restaurant. Management seriously needs to step up because nothing ever seems to improve. read more

This Mcdonalds was always so good and fast service. But the service was terrible today. When I made a mobile order, it took almost 1 hour to get my food, but the food was still good. I also got a large iced coffee separately, and the same thing happened again. It took almost 30 minutes to just get a large iced coffee!? The coffee was also pretty good. The ambiance was kinda crowded and even some people got it before me when they came in late. The customer could have been way better, but the food was still good as always. Sucks that this is our neighborhood McDonald's. Almost every time we order, something is missing. What's even more disappointing is that whenever a new Happy Meal toy is released (like Sonic or Minecraft), they always give out an old toy from the previous set instead. When I went back a couple of days later to exchange it, the manager was incredibly rude and refused to make it right. The customer service here is terrible. Came here for a late lunch. Ordered McChicken, large fries and large diet coke. Food is good. Fries are generally salted heavily. So i ordered no salt. Still has salt from the bin left over from previous but a lot better. Fries are cooked perfectly. I can see a few rookies working and under pressure with lots of people waiting, they can't handle it. I see the managers training them but the rookies do not see the urgency to work a bit faster and be more alert. I was standing at the register waiting to be helped and no one helped. Too many people filling orders in such a limited space gets hectic. The rookie should stay at the register at all times. Let the manager fill and execute the orders. I ordered 37 happy meals through the app within 2 hours. I have two kids with August birthdays. I ordered the first batch at noon and the second batch at 2. I ordered everything through the McDonalds app and gave them 20 minutes lead time. First batch was 21 happy meals. We got everything through the drive thru minus the 21 milks. They had us park in the drive thru side parking to wait. It was a very quick and smooth process. Everything was smooth and the employees were polite and very helpful. Second batch was 16. They had us bypass the drive thru windows this time and told us to wait in the drive thru side parking. We waited maybe 5 minutes and they brought a big cardboard box with the happy meals and a big bag with the milks. Again, polite folks and smooth process. I was very impressed! read more

It's really obvious when fast food is fresh and when it's just not. That statement pretty much sums up my two experiences ordering Chicken McNuggets at this McDonald's a few months ago. One time they were hot/warm, crunchy, and addictive just as I remembered years ago. The second time I ordered in the evening and they were way overfried, rubbery, and made me deeply regret my food choices on many levels. Maybe eating here for breakfast or lunch was a better choice. But they had Pokémon happy meals with Pokémon cards, and somehow, that was enough to motivate me to eat here again after 10 years. I probably won't be ordering from here until the next time they have Pokémon lol... Fast food is fast food- so I'm just gonna comment on the space and the employees. Greenhouse always seem busy, especially because this location is 24/7 which I like. So went in for some of the Disney happy meals expecting lines to be long and employees to be tired of crazy people (because it's Disney toys and grown adults behave like children sometimes). BUT- I was pleasantly surprised that all employees were very kind to me despite there being a rush, and the cashier let me choose my toys and was patient with my ordering. I've come back a few times since and the cashiers and managers are always helpful and never make me feel bad or rushed or anything. Glad this McDonald's location has hard workers who are also kind. read more

They scam people. Here is the story. I placed an order for 1 french fries and total is $1.12, went to drive thru, tell the radio my order number, he said my name and told me to go thru, I proceed to the first window, he asked you got 2 cheeseburgers? I said no, I got french fries, he said ok, just go thru, at the next window the 2 ladies had no idea what I ordered, I show her my phone detail, he was confused and talking to her staffs, come back to me said I didn't pay, I said I go in to talk to them. When I was in the store, the manager said he didn't see my order, and that the 2 cheeseburgers was supposed to be my order, I said no and show him my phone, it was 1 french fries for $1.12, he said he didn't see it, all he see was 2 cheeseburgers for $3.31, and it hasn't been paid, I told him, that wasn't my order, then I was curious if they already charged me and I went on my chase bank app and it showed they charged me, I show it to him, he said oh, we don't manage that money, you have to call the app, I was like WTF? Then I asked him did you charge me? He said he my card was declined, but it was charged on my card, he said I don't know, you have to call the bank. I said did you see my order for the french fries? He said no, I was like, the guy who was talking to me said my name, he saw the order, so he lied. another lady told me to cancel my order (french fries), I did, but the charged was still there, I didn't get any food. CHECK YOUR ORDER!! Went there around 9:50 PM today through drive-thru. Ordered two 4B from the menu (spicy crispy chicken sandwich meal) one with Dr. Pepper, one with Sprite. He asked if I wanted medium or large, I said medium. I asked if they had the spicy chicken nuggets to which the male voice said no we no longer have them. Ok. So I order another 4B with a Sprite. He asked me what drink I wanted again and I said a sprite. He asked again what the other two drinks I wanted and I repeated a sprite and a Dr. Pepper. The guy confirmed 3 sprites and I said no, 1 Dr. Pepper and 2 sprites. He read the order back a final time and got it right. Keep in mind the display was not working so we weren't able to see the order. He mumbled something about the price...20 something. The vibe we got was very dismissive and unpleasant. We get to the window and the lady was fine. Gave us our food. We should have checked. We get home and we had 3 double quarter pounders with bacon, and COLD ASS fries. That were stale. However, the drink order was correct. Back to McDonalds we go. We call on the way and the guy over the phone has the same attitude...quick, dismissive and rude. Whatever. We pull up to window. Explain the issue. We got the 3 chicken sandwiches we originally ordered. Get home and find out not only was our order wrong, we were never refunded the difference since the Double Quarter Pounders w/ bacon were $7 more than the chicken sandwhich order. $7 isn't much, but it's the principal. By far the worst McDonald's I've been to in my lifetime. Worst customer service, worst food, worst experience. The name on the order ticket was Sidel.
