READ: shady bait and switch pricing on orders. I generally like this location and staff service and I also generally appreciate their recent remodel and upgrade to the exterior building. It looks really nice at night lit up. BUT.. what I don't appreciate is ordering and being asked by the staff (who I'm told are only following their bosses or managers orders) if I want a "regular sized" meal when in reality, they're asking you to upgrade to the larger size. When they say "regular", that doesn't mean the combo price you see on the menu. What is reflected in the menu size is actually a "small". On the menu my combo was $12.19 on the menu but after I stated "regular" on my order it suddenly changed to $12.99 on the screen, which is easy to miss if you're not paying attention. My review is 1.5 stars which I find to be a bad/sleezy bait and switch tactic which causes an almost $1 increase in price without you even knowing it. This is a shady business practice and very disingenuous for the business to do. Also I never received a receipt from this location which is probably how they get away with this. I don't know what happened to this location but it's gotten so bad recently. I ask for one item removed from my sandwich and get into an segueing match with the "cook" by proxy of the window worker. Got food poisoning from eating here last night. First, they didn't give me my tacos (Again. This happened EVERY time and this time I forgot to check for them until after I got home UGH). Then, I could only eat 1 chicken strip because they tased off and the batter fell off the strips. Guess that was a good thing because 1.5 hours later I had FOOD POISONING from the chicken strip I ate. Why does this location ALWAYS, without exception, always disappoint?! The tables and chairs are functional, like me on some days (this is a good day, apparently). The parking lot is a PITA to deal with. It has to do with the design of the shopping center. THE WORST!!! We barely come To this location already, but when there are no options. We do what we have to do. Last night 02/19/20 was the worst it's been. From drive-thru ordering to actually "getting our order" was just bad. Whoever team worked that evening were just high and non-personable whatsoever. We've started to question who would hire them in that state of mind. Not only was the guy we ordered from rude and seemed high, the lady who took our payment was just as high and really not thinking about what she was giving us. We asked for cup holders and she only put a drink in it-handed it to us-then gave the rest of the drinks individually. We were like "wtf?!" Then she forgot to give me my card back. They took a good 10 mins to provide us our orders and good thing I stopped to check the bags this time, because they forgot a couple burgers. The crazy part is, when we went inside to inform them, before we could say anything. The guy says, "Oh, your burgers right?" So you effin' know that already?! Why would you tell us that we had everything and know you were missing some items?! Wthell?!?! I've never been so angry. We usually give fast-food workers the benefit of the doubt and praise them for taking on the responsibility of working in that environment, especially the younger ones. BUT, this team got me, because they literally didn't care about how they represented themselves and their company and whoever owns it. They have cockroaches inside the restaurant too. It's getting sad. There's another team and gentleman that does well here, but he wasn't in last night for sure. He at least tries. Wish we had his name, because you can tell that guy tries and even when it gets hard. He's positive and you can tell he wants to do better and respects his customers. Hadn't planned on writing a review for this place when I drove into the drive-thru. I was super hungry after an appointment with my son, so I pulled in and ordered some french fries for the munchkins and some mozzarella sticks for me. Since they always make the items to order, it takes a little time. After sitting at the window for a few minutes, the girl pulling orders realized that they accidentally put something else down than what I ordered. She and the manager were quite apologetic and quite effecient in taking care of me. They got the fries for my kids, gave me a drink along with the mistaken item and then brought my correct item out to the car a few minutes later. They also gave me a coupon for some $ off a future item. I wasn't even upset...cause hey...mistakes happen. They were very customer service oriented and what above and beyond to take care of making up for their mistake. Oh, BTW, the mistake item they gave me was the fried macaroni and cheese. I had never physically entered this Jack - I've driven thru since 2000, but after taking my sister on a sideshow of the 99c only store's humongoid, crowded, long-lined, madness, dont park your car near it - we needed a 99c two taco meal. I forgot how much I liked their jalapeno poppers. So greasy and yummy. And dipping them in the House Buttermilk sauce is the kicker! After seeing a Jack in the Box advertisement about 2 breakfast crossaints for just $3.5, I headed straight there the next morning! I went inside the place and saw no signs about it. Confused, I asked the cashier about the deal. He looked confused and said no they didn't have a deal like that. I asked again referring to TV commercial. Then he asked his manager, and she came to the computer screen and touched a button..and bam! There goes my 2 crossaints for $3.50. Score!
