This local San Leandro Hawaiian spot is one of our fave places to pick up a post workout meal from. They offer a variety of protein veggie rice bowls, this time I ordered the teriyaki salmon veggie bowl and it came with teriyaki salmon, rice, & cabbage/carrots/broccoli. I also ordered a beef teriyaki veggie bowl for my husband, he said it was delicious. I also ordered a side of 6pc crab Rangoons, super crispy & warm, love the crab filling its perfect amount of creamy to crunch ratio! I was in the mood for some of their classic macaroni salad so I ordered that as well. The inside of the restaurant has seating, kind staff, and orders come out pretty quick. Plenty of parking in the lot, overall a great spot to pick up some grilled food for lunch dinner vibes. read more

Had a birthday party on Saturday and had ordered catering trays from Hawaiian Grill Express. Ordering was a breeze and the restaurant confirmed immediately and reconfirmed the day before. I appreciated the staff packaged each tray very well and they gave a good hefty portion of food. The bbq short ribs were my guests favorite item followed by the chicken katsu. We also got the bbq chicken which was also delicious! They provided the sauces on the side and again it was packaged very well so there was no spillage in transport. Also, the trays also had veggies (cabbages and broccoli) which were also great and was a nice side to have. I had a nice experience at Hawaiian Grill Express at Greenhouse Marketplace. I was there on a Friday night, 30-mins before closing. The place was pretty busy with people getting takeout and delivery orders. I ordered the Combo Meal with Kalbi Short Ribs and BBQ Beef. It came with 2 scoops of white rice, a small scoop of macaroni salad, and some veggies underneath. This place has generous portions, and prompt service. The meals are prepared on order, so there's a short wait. My order was enough food for two people. Even though it was near closing, the beef was juicy and full of flavor. The rice was fresh. The serving of macaroni was very small. But it was buried under all the BBQ Beef slices, so it didn't seem to matter. The place has a plenty of tables inside, and a big screen TV. Went here for lunch, had a taste for chicken Katsu and this place is close to my job. I ordered the mini chicken Katsu with double macaroni salad. I don't really care for rice. And I did not regret it. I love the macaroni salad and the chicken was fresh and tasty . They also pair it with the Katsu sauce in most places don't have a Katsu sauce and it was really good. My friend just got back from Hawaii and got me those shortbread cookies. Lo and behold, I suddenly had a hankering for Hawaiian food. I googled and this place came up. I ordered the mini chicken katsu plate with rice and Mac salad. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and I am very picky about chicken-it was juicy and crispy on the outside. Perfection. Next up, Mac salad. I don't like it super mushy and saucy nor do I like it dry. This was perfectly done as well. The sauce that came with my katsu was seasoned well. Normally when I get katsu at places... the sauce ends up tasting my Worcestershire sauce but this one was sweet and savory balanced. Okay, I did cave and get the spam musubi. A billion stars for this one because they added the sauce on the spam musubi but the marinade also came on the side if you wanted more. Perfect. I was eating at home but appreciated the high quality utensils and they did not forget my ketchup. Definitely coming back. Definitely using them for catering. Thank you. This really hit the spot and made my day. The employee was very friendly and answered all my questions as this was my first time at this restaurant. YUM YUM YUM!!!! Garlic shrimp here is 10000000/10! I literally love the garlic shrimp here, it is so delicious that I crave it now. I've been coming here for a few years now mainly for their potstickers bc I love them. However, I ordered an aloha bbq mix plate today that used to come with two pieces kalbi short ribs. I opened up my box excited to enjoy my dinner to find just one piece of kalbi, and it was the smallest piece that I've ever seen. Instead, they loaded up on chicken and the bbq beef was the same amount as I remembered. This is unfortunate especially for a 20 dollar box. Love the hamburger steak plate. Everything in it compliments each other. This is a great go to for kids. I always can get my kids to sit still and eat with this meal. I'm doing a carnivore diet and was looking for a good spot to get a bbq meat plate and I walked in and asked for a meal with no sides fully expecting to get a normal serving and pay the regular price. I ordered the loco moco normally it's good but the beef patties were the frozen ones no seasoning and the gravy was very bland may have to find a new place to go.The was ok the guy behind the counter seemed to have an attitude. Catering review. Place located in greenhouse by chase bank. My sister ordered catered items from this place to celebrate my brother's birthday. Large orders of kalua pork, teriyaki beef, chicken katsu, mac salad, malasadas, and steamed rice. Food was prepared on time. Hot and freshly made along with presentation. And everything did not disappoint! Especially the teriyaki beef! Loved how it wasn't overpowered with teriyaki sauce. Chicken katsu was tender with the perfect crunch. Kalua pork was perfectly flavorful. Not much of a Mac salad fan but it was good. Rice is rice. Malasadas were good too. I thought I went in there to sit down to eat lunch, looks quiet, it's a Sunday afternoon b4 I go shop at Safeway, I order one bowl for me & another for my hubby.. We sat down on the right side with 4 table, we were sited on the 2nd table, I was facing the bathroom, oh my God the bathroom door is do dirty, I can not eat had to face that door, so I told myself just don't look, i tell you the bathroom door is so dirty with so much dirty hand prints I wonder how clean is the kitchen? Not only, that a homeless man walk in there for over 15 minutes doing what I wonder, after he left he came back to use the bathroom again, the two employees did not question him, no wonder that rest room door is so dirty, I packed up and left, never to go back there to buy foods again. read more

Loco moco is pretty good and the garlic shrimp looks and smells good. People working here are friendly and efficient.

Food is great and I do recommend it but this is the second time I came here and the second time they messed up my order. Ordered Brown Rice both times and both times they provided white rice. Hopefully they get that sorted out next time. read more

TOGO REVIEW ONLY: Located hidden in a plaza. Plenty of parking and found a parking right in front. I called in my order cuz i was informed that if u order through yelp the prices r higher...I ordered Kalbi Short ribs with brown rice and for my hubby i got garlic shrimp plate with macaroni on the side. When i came in i ordered a side of salad. Other hawaiian places have the vinaigrette salad sauce but this place had the miso salad sauce. They also didnt have the light teriyaki/bbq sauce only the thick teriyaki sauce. Whole Bill came to:$38.00 a little pricey i think for a Sunday. and thats without drinks and i usually always get the hawaiian drinks but i opted out this time. My hubby said his garlic shrimp was pretty good. My kalbi ribs were good too. Not overcooked like most places. i feel that they lightly cooked it which i love it raw usually but i didnt want to call back and ask for it. Will i b back?
