First of all, they ALWAYS ALWAYS no matter what, every time I go there they get our order wrong. Never gives us dipping sauces, and when they forgot one of our items, we went to go get it and made us pay for it for the second time!! Employees not giving us space and wouldn't leave us alone! I work midnights. My choices for food at 3am are slim to none so I chose to get some McDonald's. It was a trifecta of awesomeness....sarcasm right there. First they were only taking cash, which nowadays is pretty silly. Second, they didn't have shakes. Then there was the food - French fries were old as hell, probably from 3 hours earlier. My cashier today (MARIO) had an exceptionally positive attitude and had a pleasant effect on my day. I think people mostly write reviews when they had a bad experience but I think it's important to also give credit when an employee is good at their job. This place always has fresh coffee & stocked up on pies/cookies. Wait times have been reduced compared to what they used to be, and order accuracy has also improved! I'm waiting for about 15 minutes and when I am asked for my order I get interrupted and the lady asks my if I am paying with debit or cash. I told the lady I was paying with debit. The only problem I've had here is at the drive thru. When the first window which is normally used for payments and is labeled "pay here" is closed, I can't figure out why a successful business like McDonald's can't figure out that it would be a common sense good business practice to simply flip up a small sign on that closed window that says "pay at the next window/pull forward please". A couple times I've waited at the first window just to find out from a crazy employee waving at me from the second window that the first window was closed. It saddens me that they can't even get a simple order correct. I ordered 2 "Plain" Double Cheeseburgers (Meat & Cheese only) and 2 small fries. The clerk repeated the order and it was correct on the screen. Even the cheeseburger wrappers/order were tagged as being plain. This was done through the drive thru. When I arrived at my destination the order was incorrect. I never even received a receipt from the clerk. The restaurant and drive thru was NOT even busy. Who trains these people? I love Mcdonalds and when I'm driving I always go to the one that is located on 707 W San Ysidro blvd and the staff is very friendly and I never had a problema there. But when I cross the International Border in San Ysidro by walking I go to the one that is located on E. San ysidro blvd. In front of the San Ysidro trolley station. I have noticed that most of the staff forgets what customer service is. Maybe because it is crowded they are always running around to get the orders ready. Although, I don't think that is an excuse. Anyways, what it made me angry the other day on March 30,2014 is that I orders 4 hot fudge sundaes and the lady came with them and she didnt put the syrup on them. I told her I want them with it and she replied that on the screen of the cash register nobody marked with "hot fudge" so she won't served them like that. I asked her if there was a extra cost for that and she said no, it is the same price but she follows what is on the computer.
