All that matters is it is easy to get in and out of whether you are north bound or south bound on I35. This is a VERY low traffic intersection. If you are heading south and wait any longer, you will be faced with dilemmas such as "which side of the highway is this one on" and "how busy is that intersection?" This place is pretty new, at a very low traffic intersection, is pretty clean, but has the same mediocre employees as any other McDonalds. There is also a gas station in the same parking lot for those who are travelling. This is very convenient. read more

Today...this McDonald's gets 5 stars! Quick service through the drive thru for starters. Kids all got hot cakes with bacon. I wish I would have ordered the same. Bacon cooked to perfection and the hot cakes looked (and tasted per the kids) on point. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, hash brown and coffee. The biscuit was delicious but what really impressed me was the hash brown. Not sure if this is just a fluke but my hash down was so thick and crispy. Kids asked me thicc with how many C's and said 3 for sure! Let's talk about the coffee. Mmm mmm mmm! McDonalds is my 2nd favorite coffee and today it may have moved up to first. Think they got new thicker cups too. Not sure why I was impressed with the cup but I definitely noticed a difference. Every time I come through this place my order is either cold or wrong. I have attempted giving this McDonald's many chances and every single time I've been asked to, "poor forward to the next window" or, "pull around to the front and wait." One time while waiting for my food the employee brought out a happy meal to another vehicle that was waiting. They handed the food inside the car, then was giving the food back because it was wrong... It was in fact the happy meal I had ordered. Which the employee tried to give to me after having been opened and inspected by the previous vehicle. If you want to get your food in a timely manner, and are desperate enough to resort to this McDonald's then I would suggest not pulling away from the pick up window until you have your food. I have contacted McDonald's customer service about this place many times, and have tried them time and time again in the hopes that their service would improve but it has not. I went to get 2 3$ bundle hot n spicey's w/small fries. No big deal there were 4 cars in front of me and zero at the time in the waiting lot. 40 minutes later I decided I'm going to cancel my order and leave. A short little girl opened the front door and weirdly said what do you want as if agitated. I give them my receipt and get none back. I sit there for another 10 minutes to nobody coming. The employee in a checkered plad shirt pushes the door open angrily puts the cones in front on the lanes attempts to aggressively open to the door (he had problems with the keys). McDonalds at 21600 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, Schertz TX: Stopped in for fries and a strawberry shake. Waited to place order at counter for 15 min. Employees saw me, but no one ever came up to the counter to take my order. The manager, I believe, dressed in black with a spiked crew cut, saw me, didn't acknowledge me and walked past me and out the door. I won't use the electronic order boards as they are rarely, if ever, wiped down and always a mess and didn't feel like waiting in the drive through line. I walked out and left. This McDonald's is below standard. I have had a couple of bad experiences with this store. The first time the employees were rude and need to learn customer service. On my order, the buns are burnt. When I called to report this fact, the manager on duty is rude, told me that there was nothing he could do about it, and hung up the phone. I did not want a refund; I just wanted them to know that the toaster was not working correctly. The second time the employees closed the drive-thru with cars still in the lane and told customers to be go around again. This was impossible since there was a car behind us. Worst branch ever!!!!! Been here for 2 years and every time we order from the drive thru, there is always something missing with our order. #1 Big Mac large..... missing large fries. Ordered 20 pcs nuggets.... bag contained 10 pcs box only. Ordered salad SW...... with large drink light ice..... drink was filled with 60% ice. Ordered breakfast with hash brown and ordered 2 extra hash brown for my kiddos...... received only 1. Never leave this place without checking your bag.... they tend to miss an order. Another disgusting incident ..... an employee who was enrolling in one of the school in area talked about working in this branch.... inspection soon to happened and he said "don't know how that place will pass but they don't clean those sweet tea containers, Everyone forgets gloves and the managers don't really care". I can't begin to explain my fury. I rarely write reviews. Today I went to the drive-thru for something incredibly simple: two sausage McGriddles with cheese. The first one was fine but the second was horribly burnt. So I went back because my daughter won't eat that! I asked for a replacement and explained very kindly. What did I get again? Another McGriddle that was JUST AS BURNT. I gave up at that point and didn't eat breakfast for myself; gave the single unburnt one to my daughter. I absolutely hate this McDonalds. I love McDonald's, but this has to be the worst one yet! My parents and I ordered 1 breakfast sandwich (sausage sandwich), cheeseburgers, fries, nuggets, and fountain drinks. The fries were not filled up (we ordered large sizes) and nuggets were dry and hard (overcooked/not fresh), the 3 out of 5 cheeseburgers didn't have enough sauce in the sandwiches, the fountain drink area was nasty... there were no lids or straws, and drinks were spilled everywhere. My breakfast sandwich had no sausage patty inside... To add more to this horrible visit, we had to wait nearly 25 minutes for our order! Lobby area and ladies' room is a mess, and nobody seems to care about anything. Horrible place with no customer service! They just want to cheat your money! By far the best McDonalds ive ever been to. The food has always been fresh when I come. It tastes the same....but freshness counts. What really makes this McDonald's stand though, is their customer service. So much so that I make it a point to drive out of my way just to come here form the experience. Just left after waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru line. Noticed several cars ahead of me leaving and when I went to pay the boy asks if I'm using card or cash. I said card he tells me their card machine is down and they can only accept cash. Why not tell me this before I order instead of make me wait 20 minutes. Clearly the issue was already happening since people ahead of me left before I even got up order. They did nothing to help the situation. The boy seemed to be laughing more about it instead. If you aren't comping people's meals, at least send someone to the drive thru to notify everyone so we aren't wasting our time. Just went through the drive-through, and once again our order was not correct. We said NO CHEESE on our sandwich. It was repeated at both windows, was on the receipt, and was on the slip on the box -- but there it was on the sandwich anyway! Guess we now have to unwrap every single sandwich and open every single box before we leave the window to make sure the order is correct.
