Every trip I made to the West Coast growing up included a stop at Fatburger. It wasn't just a meal--it was a ritual. One bite and I was right back to that very first Fatburger, standing in a tiny burger shack with the smell of grilled beef drifting into the street. To me, this is the quintessential West Coast burger, so seeing a Fatburger open in Texas still feels a bit surreal. They're still doing it the way I remember: fresh, handmade patties, perfectly seasoned, piled with crisp veggies and whatever condiments you want--because here, they don't force a "house style" on you. I always get mine "all the way" with mayo, mustard, and a slice of classic American cheese. And yes, I order their XXL because I'm slowly training up for the Triple X challenge I dreamed about as a kid. The fat fries--Fatburger's take on steak fries--still hit the spot. The service is friendly, and despite everything being cooked to order, the food comes out faster than you'd expect. The dining room is small, just like the old shacks I grew up with, but there's extra seating on the patio if you need it. First time at Fatburger and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Large Western Burger with skinny fries and it was absolutely delicious -- juicy, flavorful, and packed with toppings. You can tell they don't skimp on quality. My girlfriend got the Thousand Island Burger, and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was. My brother went for the XXL Burger and couldn't even finish it -- and trust me, that says a lot. The portions are no joke. To drink, I tried the Strawberry Watermelon Lemonade -- super refreshing and not overly sweet like most places. Perfect for a hot day. The location was clean, the staff was friendly, and the view by the water made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back for round two when I go visit New Braunfels again. read more

Ordered the Fatburger original with fires and no salt! It was actually very good and meat stayed warmed until the last bite. Ordered fries with no salt and they,too were crispy and tasty! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the service was prompt, space is large and you are able to see the small pond through the window. Closed due to pricing I'm sure. You can't bring a high priced California based burger joint with $20 meals and expect it to make it here! Especially in a small town/city. Really? Most people here don't even make $20/hour. Why would you expect them to pay that for a meal? I ate there a few times but it was painful in the pocketbook and a little greasy. Round table is next to go, way overpriced and that's why I haven't eaten there. I'll just get another cheaper chain or local pizza place like Bootleggers which is phenomenal! I tried Fatburger & Buffalo's Express for the first time and ordered the Original Burger. It was really tasty with that homemade flavor--the bun was soft and warm, the patty was well-seasoned with a nice crisp, and the produce was fresh. I also ordered a Craig's Vegan Strawberry Shake, but unfortunately, they were out of the vegan ice cream needed to make it. The manager was friendly and helpful, and quickly issued me a refund, which I appreciated. I was a little disappointed about missing the shake, and I did feel the burger was a bit small for the price. Next time, I'd probably go for a larger burger to feel more satisfied. We have been waiting for this SoCal burger outpost to open. Visited today, around 2:15 (they opened on 11/16/24) and ordered my regular: Kingburger (all the way + cheese), onion rings and chocolate shake. My wife ordered the Original Fatburger and chocolate shake. Service was good, employees friendly. Once ordered at the counter, we took our number sign and sat down. The place was pretty busy and it took about 5+ minutes before our shakes arrived. Took another 10 minutes before our food arrived...again, they were busy and they cook to order. Lots of take outs as well. The shakes are perfection. Just like you would make them at home. Thick and delicious without being overdone with the chocolate. Just as I remembered them (22 years ago!!!!). The burgers were great as well. Fresh veggies and a smashed patty that was larger than the bun. My wife forgot about the sweet relish that comes standard (she isn't a fan of relish on burgers), but that can be omitted next time. The onion rings were piping hot (really hot), crunchy and seasoned well. I deducted a star due to the rings being somewhat greasy. Maybe the oil dropped in temp? I should have drained them on paper napkins, which were plentiful. A side note: the place is loud, so no soft conversations. All in all, this Cheat Day Meal was satisfying and brought back some good memories of SoCal...before Cali went totally off the rails. We will return! read more

Tried this new location for the first time. I had eaten at a Fatburger back in the day in College Station. I got the large Fatburger with the steak fries and a drink. It was a good fast food burger. The relish on the burger was a nice addition. We will add this location to our dining rotation. I have it 4 out of 5 stars because the service was slow. We waited a bit to be served. We could see our food sitting on the counter, but no one was in a hurry to bring it to us. After a few minutes, the guy finally brought it to us. read more

The burgers here are decent, but the prices are way too high, especially for a family of three or more. The customer service is also irritating. There are a couple of workers who seem to be okay, but we've been twice and probably won't be back. The lack of good (not asking for great) customer service, combined with the high prices, doesn't justify a reason to go back. Also, the onion rings are way too greasy. This was our first visit and we were not disappointed! First, we were greeted with a very warm welcome from the staff. Everyone was very nice which to me is a huge part of the experience! I ordered the original on a gluten free bun and skinny fries. We also got the Maui banana shake. Everything was delicious!! We visited on 6/5/25. The restaurant was clean and bright...but the music was SO LOUD the guy taking the order couldn't hear us and we couldn't hear his responses. Thanks to Mariah who was friendly and approachable and came to us to review our order (before they started cooking it) mistakes were caught and corrected! Overall the burger and wings were really tasty and we'll return, but turn down the music so orders can be understood when they're given. I don't know if Mariah was the shift manager, but she should be! Attention to detail means a lot when you're providing the service people are paying for. read more

Service and ambiance is very good. Burger was very good. Fries were awful- they had zero salt which was easily remedied but the grease had not been changed in ages and the taste of used grease and the chicken wings they have been cooking in it made the fries memorably bad.
