It's been awhile since I've been inside this location. I'm impressed with the self order kiosks and table service delivery. They were running a promo on breakfast specials, as I only paid $5.00 for my sausage McMuffin meal, which is a steal in today's dollars. No complaints about the meal - it was hot and freshly made. I couldn't use the normal survey for feedback since I didn't have a receipt with the required code on it, so I tried to use the contact form on the McDonalds website, but upon submission, it said "Page Not Found...Oops, something went wrong. Try using the search field below." Since McDonalds is clearly unwilling to allow me to provide feedback and seek an appropriate resolution, I'll post a review here and ask Amex to chargeback the transaction. I arrived at the drive through and was greeted by someone asking if I had a mobile order, who barely got those words out before beginning to shout in a foreign language with deafening background noise. Since I would clearly not be served at that order point, I drove to the second window (nobody was in attendance at the first). The person didn't acknowledge or apologize, but just said OK when I showed the order number on my phone, and then walked away. More than 10 minutes later, with a line of vehicles wrapping around the corner behind me, another employee appeared and told me they had chosen to clean the coffee machine during the breakfast rush and would be unable to make the beverage for which I had prepaid. She was confused about how to refund it but eventually handed me some cash and walked away. Several moments later, someone handed me my order. I declined the straw, which I had explicitly requested not to be included, in the mobile order. For context, per Washington's Single-Use Serviceware Law (RCW 70A.245.080), it's unlawful to give a customer napkins, condiments, utensils, or straws without their request or affirmative consent. In the unnecessary double bags (one inside another), I also received the following items I didn't order, request, or consent to: three limp round discs of bread (Hot Cakes?), a large container of sugar syrup, two plastic packets of butter, two paper packets each of salt and black pepper, a wrapped fork, a wrapped knife, nonrecyclable packets labeled "strawberry preserves", "grape jam", and "mild picante" (I ordered one salsa, received two). See photo for the unexpected trash included in the bag -- not shown is the extra bag and the three discs of dough. I paid $1 extra for two extra portions of grilled slivered onions with my steak breakfast but received approximately 6 slivers in total. Between the approximately 20-minute wait after arrival, the unrequested items, the missing onions I paid a ridiculous premium for, poor communication, and incompetence (cleaning coffee machine during breakfast), this was a very disappointing visit. read more

GOD FORBID you visit your neighborhood McDonalds, pull up to the drive thru window, order $50 worth of food for your family, ask for it to be fresh and because of your request you're asked to wait in one of the numbered parking stalls, wait about 30 EXTRA minutes JUST to get home and discover that they had you wait an extended amount of time to give off the ILLUSION of your order being made fresh! The fries were powdery and stale, the burger bread had an almost plasticky consistency and the nuggets were tough as rubber! I WISH this was a lie, but it's not!And to top it all off, you go back because you're absolutely PISSED! You bring back ONLY the items YOU were going to eat (as your family members had already dug in due to near starvation) and the manager argues you down at the window claiming that everything was made the way you asked! *SIGH*. Backstory- Prior to my McDonalds visit I sat in the emergency room with my daughter for 4 hours who hadn't eaten a thing in almost a week due to having (what we found out to be) PNEUMONIA and after meds (and almost instantaneously feeling better) she said she would eat chicken nuggets. By this time it was almost 1am and nothing else was open BUT McDonalds. And so here I am trying to feed my child and the other members of my family waiting for me at home and I bring them cold almost uneatable FOOD! It's heartbreaking. Needless to say this night was SUPER exhausting! I even tried to reason with the manager (I forget her name, but she was a Hispanic woman) explaining that I'm not trying to get my money back, ALL I wanted was a fresh meal! I think it's important for service workers (especially those in fast food) to understand that the outside world totally understands that most of them are there to make a living for THEIR families and that most people who come through their drive thru or visit their lobbies are most times in the same predicament. It would be nice if SOMETIMES your staff could consider the demographic of people they're serving and treat them how they would like to be treated. I am afraid to go to this mcdonalds because of how rude their kitchen staff are. They call me ungrateful and accuse me of angering people or harboring anger, by just stating, "anger." This frankly pisses me off. I get the feeling they're feeling all the negativity they're projecting. Also, the kitchen staff always speak Spanish to each other and seem to be psychologically isolating themselves. This McDonald's has better prices than the Seattle McDonald's by about 20% on some items. But they still are charging too much for breakfast for example $10 for one breakfast sandwich because it has one egg on it which they're charging $4 more than just the sausage muffin and I think that's crazy for any restaurant. Everything is done through the app or the in-store kiosk now or the drive-thru. There's very little interaction with the ones called cashiers. The drive-thru I believe is open until midnight or 2:00 a.m. I'll get back with you on that. So it's one of the few choices left in North Seattle after 11:00 p.m. when most of the other fast food places like Arby's and Burger King closed down. I've never had a bad meal here and that's what really matters and if you ask off the menu sometimes they have a buy one get for a dollar either a breakfast sandwich or a Big Mac or a quarter pounder with cheese. But you have to ask and that is a very easy thing to do. read more

The McDonald's on Aurora Avenue North in Shoreline was one of my go-to locations to get food when on my lunch break when I worked at the Dale Turner YMCA. I could not go every time I had a lunch break as it was a little bit on the further side of places nearby, so traffic could pose a risk time-wise. If I timed everything perfectly, I had time to come and get something. Typically I went with a dessert item, such as a sundae. I would get a sandwich somewhere else and then drop by the drive-thru here for a sweet treat. Service was friendly and quick and the small item always satisfied my sweet tooth and belly. I have also come here with family/friends a number of times and we have on the whole had good experiences. read more

Grabbed some breakfast this morning as I have been craving a McMuffin. All of the girls working the front were friendly, they smiled and made me feel welcome and like they appreciated my business. It was like a time warp back to 2019, before customer service was destroyed by service industry folks finally having enough of the abuse and insanity heaped upon them by people who lost whatever manners they had been taught over a lifetime after two weeks of lockdowns. I don't blame customer service workers for giving up on being polite and friendly just to have a fountain soda thrown in their face because the ice cream machine is down. But it felt good to be welcomed with smiles and helpful, cheerful workers. I even spaced off the change from my $20 after using the bathroom, and Trinia (I hope I'm not butchering her name) brought it to me with a smile. If they could accept tips I would have told her to keep it. I left with my delicious McMuffin, my latte exactly how I asked for it to be made, and feeling good. This crew is on top of it, and I hope they are all in line for promotions and raises! I'll be coming back here soon, and I hadn't been to a McDonalds in almost three years. The place was clean, the staff super efficient, and thank goodness that they removed the self serve drink bar, I hated those! It made it messy, and kept people around for NO reason. The order was on par, and timely. Shoot, this place is NOT an upper steak house for crying out loud. The only thing that can mess this place or any other fast food service is absolutely no customer service skills, or simply messing your order. I am appalled. I often order from this McDonald's due to the convenience in location, and have had few past errors in service regarding the curbside pickup. When I ordered today however, I was met with a 20 minute wait time and the need to go into the store to ask for my food. When I was met with the worker, she stated that she entirely didn't realize that I had ordered anything, and had to make all of my food anew. The driest nuggets ever. I go out of my way to go to this location because they're not in "Seattle", so they actually serve the big red cardboard sized large fries, and not the little baby sized ones that Seattle tries to pass for a "large". They have a double drive thru, so ordering is a breeze. I've never been inside of the establishment, so I have no comment on that. The employees are pretty friendly, and I've never had an issue with a missing item or anything like that. However, their chicken nuggets are always dry and old. Hate me if you want, but yes. I'm the type of person that asks for fresh nuggets. There's nothing more satisfying than biting into a freshly fried chicken nugget. Whenever I ask for fresh nuggets, they always give me the ones that have been sitting out, or they just refry the ones that have been sitting out. How do I know this? I'm basically a McDonald's chicken nugget connoisseur. Lol. I can tell just by looking at them. Also, I know that it takes at minimum, 5 minutes to fry fresh chicken nuggets because I used to work at McDonald's back in high school. I don't mind pulling over and waiting however long it takes for fresh nuggets, but they always continue to give me the old ones. :( On the bright side, they have the best fries compared to all of the Seattle locations! Spicy mcnuggets were not spicy for me but they did taste differently than the normal nuggets. They were crunchier and had a tiny bit spicy kick. read more

Adult happy meal? More like unhappy meal! Waited in line forever after ordering and paying the extra for the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box. Pulled up to get my meal, and was told that they ran out of toys so they'd refund me my 54$, which was no issue. However I was expecting to at least get my food and just have the refund cover the absent toys and box (meaning I would be given the two Big Macs four fries and two 10 piece nuggets without the toys) however I was given no food, no happy meal box, no happiness. Like why even say "yeah we got the adult happy meals" after we specifically asked in the drive thru if they still had the meals + the toy. First of all, my reviews are based on the expectations of a restaurant. I am not expecting something fantastic from a quick meal in a fast food chain restaurant. This McDonalds, like most of them today, are nicely constructed with clean interiors. It has high-quality display screens and a decent amount of seating for its location. The McChickens I ordered were exactly as expected, the chicken nuggets are slightly too crispy, and the McDoubles are surprisingly good. It is not the best meal, but for the price of it? I would say the amount of energy you get for how much you pay is worth it. There is a reason that McDonald's moved into UberEats, and it is offering what the couple dollars are worth. Everybody knows it is not healthy, but every once a while I do believe you should go to lower standard restaurants to experience the more realistic part of most people's lives. read more

McDonald's food is McDonald's food wherever you go. Sometimes it's really hot and good tasting and sometimes it's cold or bland. I'm not sure what causes either situation. Despite the fact that the food is full of chemical ingredients and cancer causing agents, I still am drawn to eat here on occasion. McDonald's food fits best with little children and senior citizens because those are usually the demographic that eat bland foods and love them. McDonald's recent attempts to change their menu to suit the grown up tastes as well as making their food to seem more healthy have done nothing for them but chase away customers. People go to McDonald's because it's unhealthy and they know it. We go back for the old standards. The cheeseburger, the Big Mac, the Quarter pounder etc... Their new sandwiches neither taste good nor are they worth the price. Another reason people go to McDonald's is for their kids and because it can be nostalgic but it has changed so much since I was young that there is no nostalgia here for me anymore. What happened to the characters? Where is Grimmace, the Fry Guys, Mayor McCheese, Birdie, Hamburgaler, or the Nuggets? What happened to the character theme McDonald's Playland? McDonaldland cookies? First off, I love McDonalds, as unhealthy as it can be. I loved it since I was a wee little bunny. Now they have the McD App, which is awesome for a couponer-for-fun like me :) sooooo.... 1. This McDonald's does not take cards with electronic chip (which is now required by law because of the additional security measures to prevent fraud). I was told my the sales attendant, Theresa, that there was no manual way of inputting my card by number - not sure if that is true. 2. This McDonald was very disorganized. All the workers kept asking other workers what to do, what to press. Management needs to train better. 3. I wanted to use my second coupon - from the official McDonald's App. I divided my order into two separate transaction, meeting the one coupon per customer rule. I clarified with another member (not Theresa) if I was able to do that - the member said yes I could. Then Theresa took over mid-transaction and told me I could only use 1 coupon. Not even if I separated my order or revisited McDonald in another hour. Etc. She was HIGHLY dismissive and unapologetic. I could be fine if she did say "sorry we only accept one coupon but please try again tomorrow/next time." But she just shook her head at me, very smugly, and dismissed me for the next customer. I used this McD App at...mmmm 5 different McDs in 2 different states - I was accepted everytime and allowed to use my coupons as long as I ended my transaction in between. What if I stood in line again to use my coupon app? No What if I step outside the door and reenter the store right after? No What if I went up to the McDonalds a few minutes up to use the coupon app? How would they know? No Dear Theresa, you rude. 4. My food was cold, this never happened before. Usually McDs I go to they serve it piping hot. When I got home it was COLD. COLD. I went in 10 minutes early for a twice rescheduled interview for a part time position and there was a language barrier with the first couple of people that I spoke with on the front end, so I kindly asked for a manager and that was sorted. Once they came over I told them what I was there for and she told me to take a seat. I waited another 10 minutes for her to come up and ask for my name, click around on an Ipad a bit, then tell me "we have no maintenance sorry, you apply maintenance". I wasn't even going to take this interview until they text reminded me 3 times the day before and twice the morning of. This place is very unprofessional to say the least.
