I've had in-N-Out Burger in California, nothing comparable to this my experience wasn't the greatest first we waited nearly an hour, 3 car lanes turn into one seem like it was a fight just to get into the one lane to order food, don't recommend the drive through! My fries were not warm at all, our bread was not fresh either it had a hard chewy edge to it, the patties were cooked thoroughly. It's In-N-Out.. What more is there to say. Good burgers. Okay fries. Passed through Salem in our way from Seattle to Eugene for the marathon and stopped by here on the way to and back from Eugene. Service is good as usual. Always busy. Line can be long depending on when you get there to line up. My friends and i only waited less than 15-20 mins when we lined up to get to the front. Typical wait time from when you order to when they call your number is about 30 mins. If you are trying to find parking, I would go all the way around and pass the line for drive thru and look for a spot. The line for drive thru is always backed up. read more

Definitely not worth the hype on its own. And the fries? Cold. Not even warm. No crisp, no life just sad potatoes after a long drive. We decided to eat in rather than sit in the drive through line. Despite the line being out the door, the wait to order was less than 10 minutes. A limited menu and not so secret menu make the choices pretty easy. We ordered a classic cheeseburger, an animal style cheeseburger, and a protein style (no bun) cheeseburger. Animal style with the grilled onions and mustard are nice, but something about that raw, crisp onion hits different. The execution on assembly is unmatched in fast food, beautiful burgers and the grilled bun is superb! Yum! My favorite "secret" item is the Neapolitan shake (all 3 flavors in one) The spicy little peppers seemed new and I'm loving it! The fries I'll never understand, they suck! A raw potato chopped in front of you and fried as is! Even when "extra crispy" these are not good. I wish they would coat them in some kind of corn starch mix. They do a decent job at keeping it clean and the employees are always friendly and quick to take your tray or garbage from you. My go-to order for the last 20+ years has been a grilled cheese, animal style. However, for the first time ever today, I ordered a cheeseburger protein style (lettuce instead of bun) and it was awesome! Will definitely order again. Pro-tips: ask for the kids sticker/worksheet pack if they forget to offer. The fam and I finally made it to this Oregon location. We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy, I think it always is. We opted for dine in instead of drive through. There wasn't really a line to place your order. There are three registers so things move quickly. Then there's the waiting. It took 45 minutes for our food. Our kids were entertained by the actvity pages and pencil provided so the wait was bearable. The food is just so consistent. The double double animal style always hits the spot. Their shakes are solid and fries should be requested double fried. I also go with fries animal style. Absolutely horrible. Fries tasted extremely stale, burger tasted fine. My stomach was in pain afterwards and I had food poisoning the next day. This was a night before a track meet, my track team of aprox. 20 people all got sick. The pain varied. Some couldn't get out of bed, aggressive vomiting and diarrhea or painful constipation. Friends and I came in at about 5PM on a Sunday. Could not believe how packed this place was - I mean, I expected that since they've been open for a few years, the novelty would have worn off, but not only was there a line of cars out the drive through to the road, inside the restaurant there were so many people that I couldn't tell where to go to order. My friend said that it was because everybody from Portland still drives all the way down here to get their fix. That said, once I figured out where to go to order, it was quick to get to the front of the line and place my order. Even though it was so busy, the person I placed my order with was remarkably pleasant. When I ordered my meal, I ordered the burger "animal style" and I was asked if I wanted my fries "animal style" as well. I told her I didn't know that was possible, and she explained that it would add cheese, spread and grilled onions on top of the fries. I couldn't do dairy, so she just had the spread and grilled onions added to the fries. Burger, fries, and a drink - $7.75. No extra charge for going "animal style". It took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready, and I cannot believe how delicious it was! Seriously, for this price, it puts other places that cost more to shame.
