So I will say I've been coming to this one MUCH more frequently than the other due to the quality of the food. Particularly the drinks. The staff is AMAZING and super sweet at both locations but I've grown to loooove this one! They're also incredibly squeaky clean from when I've been here which is very important. Now I have to say every summer there's something that catches my eye that's a drink I get totally obsessed with and THIS summer it is hands down, by far, their delicious Dirty Dr Pepper! It's better than the cream Dr Pepper soda! Absolutely delicious with a Dr Pepper base, then they put ice, vanilla syrup, and vanilla cold foam on the top and it is DELECTABLE! So good im absolutely willing to drive to a location just for these AMAZING dirty dr. peppers. If you haven't tried one yet?? You MUST! I do hope they keep this item on the menu! I can't believe I'm writing a review for a McDonalds, but this location remarkably pleasant for... you know... a McDonald's First impression when I walked in was, "Wow... the space is pretty nice for a McDonald's. It must be new." It was very clean, and dare I say, kinda classy for a McDonald's. We were greeted by a very friendly smiling employee named Praise. She was patient and pleasant with us while we decided what to order. She gave us our soda cups and a placard with our number and said she would bring the food to us. We sat down and a few minutes later Praise arrived with our food... but then... she produced a basket thing containing various condiments. "Would you like any ketchup? Ranch dressing?" So... I don't go to McDonald's very often and almost always use the drive-thru... but like... is this what McDonald's are like now? Because I never experienced nor expected any kind of EXTRA customer service in a McDonald's. I was legitimately impressed. The food was... you know... McDonald's... but prepared well. While we were eating I heard a very warm and friendly "hello". I didn't realize it was directed at me until I looked over my shoulder to see another smiling employee sweeping the floor. I think she was just trying not to sneak up on me while cleaning. Again, I got a sense of just a little extra friendly customer service. On our way out another smiling neatly dressed employee thanked us and wished us a good day. I told her this was the nicest McDonald's experience I've ever had. She seemed very proud and said, "If you have your receipt there is a link where you can leave a positive review." I told her I had already thrown away my receipt but I would leave a review on Yelp. This McDonald's is horrible. The customer service is extremely bad and they change your order. I ordered a large fry. They ended up giving me a medium fry and now there are saying they weigh the fry so they do not feel the french fry container up. I ordered a sweet tea and they gave me a non-sweet tea. I actually had to call the police on this McDonald's. Placed an order on the machine, paid for my food. Then the machine gliched. They refused to give me my food even though they admitted the machine gliched. I showed them the charge on my bank account and I was told I would have to pay again and that the charge would drop off. I explained i did not trust that as it showed the charge had already gone through. Asked for a manager, about 15 minutes later a young women with a terrible attitude came out and claimed she was a manager but not on the floor at the moment so she couldn't help me, all she said she knew was that i would have to pay again for my food if i wanted it. Waited about 10 more minutes and asked Nicole at the front if a manager would be coming to help me. She stated she didn't know. At this point I called the police to report petty theft on them. While on the phone with the police a young man came out and stated he was a manager. He finally offered to give me my order. So after about 45 min I left with my food. The payment did go through and never dropped off of my account. If I had paid them again like they asked me to I would have paid them twice for my food. Not good business... We tend to stop at McDonald's when we are in Sonora running errands to get food for our kids, but don't bother ordering a soft drink unless you want something undrinkable. We have gone to this location probably every other week May-July. Every single time the sodas taste severely like the soda fountains have not been cleaned or the ice is bad. We know it's an issue with cleaning the machine because after we tried Sprite and Dr Pepper and none of us could drink them we went to the other McDonald's up by standard and they were great. 1. Doors were locked until about 6:35ish even though the time sheet says open at six. I knocked on the door for about 10 minutes before some girl came and unlocked it. She was rude and had an attitude the entire time we were in the store and the MULTIPLE times we had to go back inside the store from our car to get our orders fixed. 2. Just had the weirdest experience at this McDonald's. I ordered 160 chicken nuggets for a bunch of coworkers, and I was told that I could only get 24 sauce packets and that I would have to be charged for any additional sauces. That was already strange because I have gone to this location and several others in the past and gotten 80 nuggets and gotten the same amount of sauces. At first I had a bad experience, the lady delivering my food to my car was rude and when I explained my order was wrong she stated I was wrong and she would go get the receipt to show me I was wrong. Well I called the store as this lady tried to tell me she was the manager and I actually got to speak to the manager Anthony. I explained the circumstance to him and just told him I want what I paid for. He was very understanding and assured me that he would correct it. The Sonora McDonald's may actually impress you, which says a lot. The modern restaurant is located on the east side of town near Mono Way and Highway 108. Inside, the restaurant is surprisingly clean and modern with an upscale look and feel. There is a drive thru window and lots of parking. The menu is the same as other McDonald's, but I really like the upscale look and local imagery inside. Your results may vary, but this McDonald's is a nice stop for a quick meal on your journey. read more

This is the best MCDonalds I've been to in years. The manager runs a tight ship and the store is immaculate. Clean bathrooms, floors, tables, and the employees were so kind and they were even singing! One of your employees has the voice of an angel. The burger was FRESH and grease was running down my arm it was soo juicy. The fries were HOT and CRISP and the pickles were crisp and tangy. I haven't been to a McDonald's like this in years. Okay Okay! McDonald's has a lot of locations but I stop here because it is the closes. From other reviews I have read about this place is not actually popular because customer service is bad. To be quite honest when I went by it was okay. The food was not bad, I mean it is McDonald's. I got the J Balvin meal which was so yummy and delicious I would go get more. Luckily the ice cream machine was not broken (if you know you know). It had the best ratio of oreo to vanilla ice cream. Probably wouldn' come back because of the other reviews, but the food was yummy. This McDonalds does not have the dining area yet open so you would need a car to get some food, because of the pandemic going on. I believe they have limited the number of workers working at the time. Other than that would definitely recommend if you just need a quick bite or something to eat. read more
