However, it was sooooo slow. From the moment we were seated it probably took about 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. Then it took the same before our drinks were brought and they finally took our order. Nearly 1 hour after we sat some of our pizza finally came. The calzone took an extra 15 minutes. During the wait we did not get an update or any notice from the one or two staff members. When the food eventually came out it was still missing things. When we placed the order we asked for marinara and ranch. Neither came out with the pizza and we had to ask 4 times before it was finally brought to our table. Not to mention, we only asked for 1 marinara and they brought 2 that were half full and charged us for 2.... Some of the pizza options were fun and creative but the service and speed was a huge letdown. It is sad to see another place in Sonora go out of business but this place did basically everything wrong.

The breadsticks were good but got a little stale as they sat. It is a large place with plenty of seating and a very nice group table right up front. The lighting is a little uneven, so some tables are in darkness and others are directly under rhe lights. Considering there were only a few other tables, the service was a little slow. Our server was very friendly and had a great attitude but after saying bread was coming right out it was awhile before it finally arrived. Last night I was really surprised on my visit to Mountain Mike's Pizza in Sonora. I live in San Diego and this was my first visit to Sonora. For being such a small town this little pizza place was popping like something from a big city. Even though it was really busy and people were being extremely impatient and rude even when they could clearly see the staff was trying, everyone on the staff was still extremely polite and helpful and the pizza was absolutely delicious. I will be returning to Mountain Mike's Pizza on my next visit to Sonora. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious bite and very welcoming atmosphere and thank you to all of the staff that busy evening I am definitely going to be a returning customer for years to come. read more

I absolutely love this place! The service is ten times better than any other pizza place in the area. Ordered delivery from Round Table, and it was an hour late, missing some of the order, and ice cold. Not the case here! The delivery I ordered Saturday night (5/17) arrived promptly, still steaming, and all my items were accounted for. The man who rang me up, the Australian, was very friendly and thorough, making sure the order was rang in right. He asked if I wanted light sauce with an "l" or white sauce with a "w", which helped prevent my pizza being made wrong. I won't eat pizza anywhere but here, and the service is always better with the Australian guy behind the counter. read more

I am not even going to give a star!!! Ordered pizza for pick, was told it would be 20 give it 30 and still had to wait 20.... Staff was talking didn't even say hello or hi be right with! I had to say something. Asked to talk to management, the girl that was helping me got her and she was rude also!!! Asked for owner to call me, we will see if that happens! Melissa here at mountain mikes in Sonora went above and beyond helping me today. I needed to get a gift certificate to be used through delivery, and we unfortunately ran into some problems in figuring out if that was possible. She was very kind and helpful and explained she would find out and let me know, and she did, calling me back hours later! Me and my girlfriend go to the lunch buffet on regular.Chris who we thought was the manager goes out of his way to make sure everyone is having the best experience. Pizza is always fresh and plenty to go around. There salad bar is very clean and good variety of this to chose from.I recommend giving this place a try. Our dinner was cooked to perfection and delicious. The chef even came out to check on us, make sure we were all satisfied and enjoying our meals. Definitely!! Our waiter was fantastic!! We've eaten here before and we'll definitely be back again.
