Fabulous! Came by for a quick lunch to go and ordered the Gyro and a salad! Very good! Wonderful service! Such a cute place! And the owner was walking around talking to customers

Excellent service. We were seated promptly. Our server took our drink order right away. Our food came out shortly after we ordered. It was very good. The soup was lemony. The food was very fresh. The restaurant is clean and bright. The music is soft and pleasant.

The waitress was nice and though we had to wave her down a couple of times she addressed all our requests. I tried the special today which was Fish N Chips. It came with 4 or 5 strips of fish and the first 3 strips were amazing and fresh. However the 4th one I tried was a little fishy so it kinda of ruined it for me in the end. The homemade tarter sauce was excellent and one of the best I have ever had. The fries were crisp and delicious. My husband had the moussaka which he really loved. We will be back but next time I will try one of the greek specials.

I knew from the moment my friends and I sat down at our table that this place is something special. The host addressed us ASAP and our waitress was not far behind. That's who let us know that this is a family owned restaurant, with the owner being from Greece... And low and behold, the host was his son and our waitress was his wife. We asked about how the restaurant came to be and how their family ended up in Sonora and it was such a beautiful love story. It was obvious that their love for each other and Greek food is embedded into every inch of their restaurant and every bite of their food. Beyond that, their food was absolutely delicious. I couldn't settle on just one item so I went with their Greek sampler plate and a salad. The sampler plate came with grilled pita, hummus, tzatziki, spicy feta, and dolmadas for roughly $17. I ate every single bite of what I ordered. Everything was as fresh as can be and it was clear that it was all homemade. My friends were just as impressed with their food and we couldn't stop raving about it even after we left. My friends live in the area and expressed how they will definitely be returning. Heck, same if I ever find myself back in Sonora. This is exactly the type of establishment I want to support and I can't recommend it enough!

After 11 months we are again in Sonoma and this is the only place that we want to eat at. Authentic and delicious Moussaka and Burgatza!

My husband said the Gyro Waffle Bowl was one of the best things he's ever had. There are vegan options and the veggie gyro was yummy- roasted veggies were delicious. The service was impeccable, Michael, was so kind and took time to learn about us. He is the kind of guy you want to be friends with! Highly recommend.

A beautiful little spot hidden away in Sonora. I'm picky about my Gyros and they met my expectations.

First off if I could give 10 stars I would. I went to Yiannis Grill with my family a few days ago. At first I had my suspicions because of greek food in downtown Sonora but those quickly escaped my mind. We quickly sat down with the owner of the establishment Michael saying hello as well as the wait staff so very friendly. My mom and dad who have been to Greece before said that the overall look and feel of the restaurant were just like Greece. The waitress came almost immediately and took our order. I got the Saganaki and grilled lamb with dessert being the Baklava. It tasted amazing some of the best food I have ever had. When they brought out the cheese it was flaming and tasted amazing. We soon got our main courses which were spectacular couldn't have been made better and the owner came over and started taking with us. I loved how he didn't make us seem like we were an average family coming to eat but instead got our names, and asked about us and where we were from etc... He was such a nice guy and we had a great talk with him. I ended up getting the baklava for dessert which was amazing. Overall left with a full belly and great vibes.

Ambiance was nicely "Greek style" (blue and white with pics of Greece), and clean. The service was solid, and smooth. The food was wonderful. I ordered the lamb skewers and shared the mousaka with my spouse. Wonderful. We shall return.

    Greek Moussaka

2nd time here as I'm not from the area. Another awesome meal! This time we had their moussaka which is a first time having the dish for me. VERY flavorful and certainly delicious! We had it with their Greek salad & Greek fries which were both SUPER tasty! Definitely worth a visit if you're ever anywhere near Sonora!!

WOW! We found this shop the night before, when arriving at the same shopping plaza to have dinner…read moreat Strings Italian(please see separate review). I looked up Bon Apetit - Crepes, Croissants & More on Yelp, saw a very good rating, but not too much information and only a few photos. Considering this business has been here more than 12 years, and boasted baked goods, I HAD to do my research and provide a bit more information. We came in after our breakfast at My Garden Cafe(please see separate review), so we weren't hungry but, again, research was the goal. The space itself was a bit surprising. Having occupied this space for so many years, I guess I expected it to look more like a restaurant or kitchen of some kind. It doesn't. The large interior space has a few small bistro style patio tables and chairs (even outdoor umbrellas!) and - I think - is meant to look as if patrons are dining al fresco in Paris, maybe??? But it reminded me more of a church or school bake sale. Folding tables with colorful tablecloths are pushed up along one wall and on them set large, food service grade, clear plastic bins with the baked good inside. Above each bin is a laminated color copy of the corresponding pastry affixed to the wall. Utensils, paper bags and tongs are available for customers to self serve their selections. A separate cart has a couple of industrial coffee carafes and paper cups for beverage self service, alongside a free standing water cooler. I asked if the pastries are made there and was told no. They are made fresh each morning by the owner, Bruno, and brought in in the bins and arranged, usually, under the display pictures to easily see what is in that day. So, while not conventional, this method obviously works, and has for OVER A DECADE. Unconventional bakery esthetics and sales methods aside, the products are what customers are repeatedly here for. AUTHENTIC, French pastries made from European butter, making them lighter than an angel's wings and tastier than the devil should allow. My husband was going to patiently wait while I chose my purchases, but I persuaded him to indulge in the last remaining buttery croissant as I added it to my bag of pain au chocolate. I'm such an arm twister.... CAUTION! Digression ahead: Recently, I had been excited about a different croissant purchase at a sandwich shop in Sunland-Tujunga, only to bite into something that was more like Pilsbury canned dough than a real buttery French croissant. I guess that unpleasant experience made me long for pastry vindication and Bon Apetit came through for the win! But even before my first bite, I asked Bruno what type of chocolate he used in the pain au chocolate. 'Today Belgian. I get Belgian if I cannot get French, because they are practically the same,' he replied in his lovely French accent. And I melted. FINALLY! I was getting AUTHENTIC pain au chocolate! I'm telling you, when you have had the real thing, an imitation French pastry, made with anything less than quality European butter and chocolate just won't satisfy. We enjoyed our lovely, delicious pastries a bit later, while visiting Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite. Briefly, I tried letting the pain au chocolate sit in the warmth of the sun's rays atop my dashboard, wishing I had a way to heat the pain au chocolate enough to soften the chocolate, but I just couldn't wait. I was still very happy and satisfied with the flaky, light buttery taste of the pastry and the wonderful flavor and texture of the chocolate inside. I am adding Bon Apetit - Crepes, Croissants & More to my "Cali Road-tripping" bookmarks and look forward to bringing my French pastry loving bestie with me for my return visit. Cheers! CC

We were just looking for a place for a quick overnight and we tend to enjoy historic, downtown hotels like this one. This hotel was obviously just renovated and was very clean, but when we got to the end of the hallway on the second floor and had to go down half a floor to a small section of 3 isolated rooms we thought things were a little funky. It was past midnight so we just wanted our bed and did not do anything about the fact that room 244 (I think) was just some rejigged storage room that had an old bathroom attached and barely enough room for the queen bed. There was no room for a dresser or closet and the shower could barely produce warmish water. The door to the bathroom could not close and the gaps around our front door were so big that the hallway lights flooded into our room. It was hard for 2 people to get around each other for such a snug of a room it was. But, the funniest thing to us was that with so many things missing, it DID include coffee pot on one for the night stands (priorities, right?):) This room is an afterthought, and with the price we paid it did not reflect well on what might be a nice place and experience for others. At least put just a single bed in it so there is room to move in there, and then maybe they could add a dresser. We did not bother to take the time to address our feelings, because we were up and out early the next morning and it gave us a running joke for the rest of our road trip.
