Hey Ya'll, Feel like some very good fast food with some very friendly service? Yea, you remember, when you order online, or in store, then pick your hot food up and the person flashes you a smile and wishes you a great day! Well this McDonalds' is friendly, polite, and efficient! And YES, fast, if ordered from the McDees App. online because it is typically ready when you open their door or shortly thereafter. Their store is a McDonalds with the children's playground (yes, they are retrofit back or so from current upgraded stores) which are more of Cafe style we have in our area of South Carolina. So their ambiance is a bit "stuck in the past". But if you have children, then it may be a winner for you and them. However, what we do not have here in my area of South Carolina, which fries my grits, is we do not have a Steak Egg Bagel! This store offers a very tasty Steak Egg Bagel and is a two for one on the McDonalds App for only $6.89 plus tax which is excellent price. It can even be relatively healthy if you eliminate the Breakfast Sauce, Salt, Cheese and Butter. Yea, I cheat with the butter once in a while. Yea, I know Mama, Lol. However, do add extra onions (no charge) as the coffee will cover it! Remember, their bagel is a slow burning carbohydrate which means the egg, steak, and onions will keep you full until lunch. And your Triglycerides will thank you, steady Eddy, if you share and only eat one! Your Mama should have told you, lol. Yes, you can also get the same two for one with a two Egg McMuffins for $5.89 and for you twenty cents more, two Sausage Egg McMuffins, plus tax. Yes, some will say, "McDonalds?" But I say "hell yes" for breakfast. So I have shared my feelings with you about this Mc Donald's in Southport, NC which I have eaten at many times since 1997. And yes, "Little Billy, that's right!" that is twenty seven years of experiencing this restaurants food and service when visiting six times per year. Again, I stress, it is fast ordering at this restaurant when ordering from the McDonalds App. The food is good, and when including all of my orders over that twenty-seven years only three orders have been wrong which they promptly remedied. Again, you will like dealing with the friendly and polite people that serve you here. Sounds like a terrific offering to me for about $5.00 a meal with a coffee for breakfast, how about you? the only fast food place i've been to that can have every single car in the drive thru pull into a parking spot and the food still be cold 20 minutes later when they bring it out. they have all that time to make the order and yet it's still made wrong every time. dine in, drive thru, or delivery it doesn't matter it's horrible service and food every time. read more

I usually use the drive thru. But this time was meeting someone. So we chose to set inside.. I am ashamed to say the conversations that was taking place. Was not proper for a place of business. Fortunately not many in the store. But lots of loud talking. And suggestive comments. I notice two people over 40. Founds jobs to do out of the kitchen. This Place is absolutely disgraceful! Not only is the food always cold but the management is very rude. My family was harassed for a extra drink the was given to us on accident. Third day in a row that I have come through this drive-thru and a girl named Tiffany takes my order in sounds like I'm inconveniencing her. The first window can't take debit card so I have to go to the second window and the same girl that took my order takes my credit card through a 3-inch hole. Not a good morning thank you for coming by McDonalds nothing she opens the window another 3in and basically throws my food at me. Then they give me a receipt that you can't even read to do the survey. Don't ever go to this McDonald's it is horrible read more

I am a local to Southport and this is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever been to for years. But the reason for the review is my wife stopped in Saturday night and placed a order for our whole family. I got a double quarter pounder meal and they left it out and didn't realize till we got home. Called and they said they knew and said we could come get it or she would take our name to get it another time, she said they wrote our name down. Well went in today to get it and was told we were just trying to get free food, tried to belittle us. I am done with this place. There are other fast food options in town. read more

If I could give it a zero, I would. Tried stopping by before having office duty at work to order a salad. Was told to park in spot 1. Several people then parked waiting for their orders, were given their orders and then left. I tried calling their number 910-457-9410...rang and rang, then went to a fax machine. After a little over 10 minutes, an employee came to my car and stated "the salad is frozen, and will take a little time, would I like a ranch salad"...I said no I have to leave, (left my business card) I am late for work.. Again at work, I tried finding another number to call...but this is the only one, and again, went into the fax machine. This is a very busy McDonalds...they really need some competition, in the area. One star because zero isn't possible. Has to be in the bottom 10% of all McDonalds nationwide. Service, whether inside or drive thru is miserably slow, consistently so. Employees appear to hate life approx 60% of the time, really can't blame them. People keep coming back because the only burger alternative is Hardee's and that's barely an alternative. They are like a cable provider, they know they can be mediocre or bad and you have to keep coming back if you want that type of product. A Wendy's opening or another McDonald's with decent staff would shut this place down, and I would dance on it golden arched grave. read more

I feel inclined to write as a result of the extraordinarily bad service I received today at McDonalds #7702 in Southport, NC. I placed my order at the drive thru and was asked to pull forward to a designated paddling spot to wait for my food. I waited for 15 minutes and watched numerous cars pull through and get their food. Finally, when I realized nobody was coming, I had to pull back through the drive thru (I had young children in the car) and ask for my food again. I complained about the wait and they said they had to wait on the biscuits. I find it hard to believe that 1.) it takes 20 minutes to make the biscuits and 2.) that of all the cars I saw them serve, nobody else ordered a biscuit at breakfast time. So essentially, they forgot me. To add insult to injury, when I made it home and pulled out all the food, they failed to include the maple syrup for the two orders of hotcakes I had. So, my kids ate dry, cold hotcakes for breakfast. Seriously awful. read more

Went to McDonald's tonight and ordered 2 apple pies and a large diet Dr Pepper in the drive thru. When I got my drink it wasn't filled all the way. It was filled about an inch from the top of the cup. I asked the girl in the drive thru if she could fill it up and she said she'd have to go to the lobby to fill it up. I told her I wanted it filled and she told me I'm more than welcome to come inside and fill it myself. I was annoyed but I parked to go inside. Before I went into the lobby I realized the bag that I was given that was supposed to have the apple pies had a cheeseburger in it instead. I walked inside and told the girl at the cash register my order was wrong and she took the burger from me and gave it to the girl at the window to hand to the customer in the car at the drive thru. Both of the employees knew the cheeseburger had been given to me but they gave it to the next person anyway. The girl looked at me after handing it out and said "you didn't touch it did you?" It's ironic that they can give the cheeseburger to another customer but not refill my drink. This is a HUGE health code violation and I will not be coming here again. read more

Possibly one worst McD's I've ever seen. I work in the area and have been there several times. They are consistently bad. Grease that runs off of old burgers, undercooked fries. Stopped by today to redeem a free quarter pounder coupon. Got the burger but had to take it out of the container and use the napkins to soak up the grease in the box. The fries are always under cooked. There really needs to be some Quality Control done in that store. read more

Terrible experience. The restaurant is difficult to reach from the road. The fries weren't ready when we drove through and we had to wait along with many others behind us for 10 minutes. The fries weren't even that hot or crisp when they came out after the delay. The sodas were watery and they only gave us 3 napkins for 4 entrées. They forgot to give us the dipping sauce for the McBites. The rest of the food was unremarkable except that the chicken in the club sandwich was dry. read more

Avoid this place. I was one of two people inside at 8pm, and it took 23 minutes to get a quarter pounder and fries. They're not participating in the promotions advertised with trick or treat and win. Ever since I moved here I've had nothing but bad experiences, their fountain drinks are never at the right level(more carbonated water than flavor) or they are broken all together, they blindly make their frozen drinks, all of them because I've tried to see maybe if they made something else it would be better. NOPE and the meals, don't expect your entire meal to be in the bag before you drive off aswell as the ingredients to your breakfast sandwich or hamburger!
