I've been wanting to check this place out for a while and finally had the opportunity to go for lunch today. I was greeted by the nicest woman and had a lovely conversation with her. I might have been waiting at the counter for just a few minutes but she apologized as if I'd been waiting for a while. I was torn between the loaded potato and the chicken pot pie soup and decided on the chicken pot pie. I was curious as to their take. I also ordered a chicken club for lunch for my son. The soup was delicious! It had a crusty crumble on top that gave it the pot pie crust appeal. It was hearty and not overtly salty. I didn't grab a bite of my son's sandwich but it looked really good. The food it's self isn't too bad but the pricing definitely makes the experience an unpleasant one for what's received. I've been to this specific location several times as I work nearby and given the benefit of the doubt maybe more than I should've but, again, the location is convenient for me. Was asked 4 times what sandwiches (I ordered 2) I wanted and specifically what I wanted on them. Had to repeat again and again and again. Had to tell the cashier how much change I should receive back because she hadn't looked at the receipt. Two sandwiches and a dressing handed to me separately. No bag for a takeout order. I had to ask. Manager tried to make it my fault for not wanting to repeat my order over and over again. Music was blaring, and server was wearing a headset and not responding to me. Whaaat??? I've never tried Potbelly sandwiches so tried out this new franchise on their grand opening day. It's not hard to miss with their signature mustard yellow signs on the street. There are designated doors for entry and for exit. Once you enter, there is a sanitizer wall dispenser and masks. Tables have notes on them if they have been cleaned. To order, go straight down to the counter. Once your order is ready, one of the staff will bring your food to you. The cashier was friendly and helpful in helping me place my order. If you place a to-go order ahead of time, there is a pickup station where the food is left, located towards the left after entering. They offer sandwiches, soup, chili, salads, sides, mac and cheese, cookies, and milkshakes. Most of the sandwiches did not have detailed descriptions. They're categorized by sandwich favorites, sandwich classics, "skinnys". You can do a combo of half a sandwich with either a cup of soup, cup of mac and cheese or half of a salad ($7.99). Bread options are either multigrain bread or a "regular" bread, which is a white French loaf. The French loaf breads are from Turano Baking Company based in Chicago. It's too bad they don't use locally made breads. You can choose different sizes of your sandwich such as 9-in or skinny, which means less bread than a 6-in. You have some options you can add in the sandwich for no additional cost including lettuce, tomato, chili peppers, Mayo, mustard, oil, Italian seasoning. Upgrade toppings for an additional cost include extra meat, avocado, bacon, mushrooms, and cheese. Ordered half of one of the most popular sandwiches called the Wreck with mac and cheese. On their website the wreck is listed as having Salami, Angus roast beef, oven roasted turkey, hickory smoked ham with melted Swiss cheese but I didn't see the salami or the Swiss cheese. So you might want to double check your order or maybe you have to ask for the cheese since cheese is listed on their board menu as one of the "upgrade" toppings. The sandwich came wrapped in parchment paper and had oil/fatty soaked spots so be prepared to get your hands dirty. The half sandwich was about five inches long and two and a half inches thick, including the thick loaf bread. The bread itself was soft and toasted. The sandwich was overall okay, a decent sandwich, but not outstanding. The mac and cheese was good, creamy. You can also add two toppings do the mac and cheese for no additional cost. I was disappointed that the options for toppings was limited, only mushrooms, roasted red pepper, chili, hot peppers or bacon. If you download their app for the first time, you get a free cookie with your purchase. Cookie options were chocolate brownie, oatmeal chocolate chip, and sugar cookies. They bake their cookies fresh every day and only put fresh cookies out on display, never over a day old. The cookies are big, about four and a half inches diameter. The chocolate brownie cookie was good, it tasted best in the middle with the soft chocolate chips and fudge like cookie texture. This is a good place to go for a quick and simple meal. read more

Let me start by saying the pictures don't do justice. They are not like the sandwiches at all, being really skimpy for the $13 they charge. Four different meats on the Italian large sub folded over still didn't look like the pictures and was still far from what you'd get at Subway. My second review for Potbelly Sandwich shop is going to be quite different from the first time around. Today, for lunch, I was craving a salad, packed full of greens, proteins, adequate in size and one that would have me feeling....ahhhhhhh afterward. The first salad that popped in my mind is from somewhere else but wasn't the style of salad I was craving. The second one is one I remembered well from the first time I tried it...Potbelly's Farmhouse Salad with ranch dressing. I went to Potbelly's direct website to place a pick-up order at around 11 am. As I was scrolling through, I settled on the Pick-Your-Pair with that Farmhouse Salad (bleu cheese crumbles, bacon crumbles, mixed field greens, egg, grilled chicken and added avocado for $0.99) along with the skinny Steakhouse Beef on toasted multigrain bread (roast beef, Swiss cheese, bleu cheese crumbles, horseradish aioli, mayo, lettuce and onion). This is the exact same combo I ordered the first time through Grubhub and paid a small delivery fee. This time, I was charged a $3.30 "service fee" to place an online order for pick-up, not delivery, through their main website. Wait...what?!?! As a company, wouldn't you think this method would be easier on the staff with time to prepare, no rushing and minimal overhead since it's through your corp's direct website? I'm confused as to why I needed to pay that "service fee"? What does this service fee offer me as the consumer? What benefits are associated with your service fee? What all does this "service fee" cover in addition to normal day-to-day operations? Why not charge this "service fee" to walk-in customers who offered you no time to prepare and you have to make the order right there and then? So what you're saying is that you take advantage of consumers by "taxing" them when they use a process that just makes sense for everyone...right? And if I just walk in next time, unannounced, to place my order...I can skip this "service fee"? Seems perfectly logical (smh). The service provided by Steven (possibly Stephen) was great though when I walked in to pick up my lunch. He explained where to find my order and offered me some take home menus. Pleasant, friendly and informative, Steven was. As for the food this time. The salad was just as good and was consistent with my last one. Great job, Potbelly. Where the lunch fell short was on the skinny steakhouse beef sandwich. Compared to my last order, this sandwich had about 33% less roast beef on it, very light horseradish aioli (could barely taste it), over abundance of bleu cheese crumbles (overpowered all other ingredients inside, almost) and there was just soooooo much bread in each bite. In addition to the bread being about 60% of each bite, it was also slightly over-toasted with some burnt char on the ends, leaving that lingering "smoke" taste. The first time I ordered this sandwich, I raved about it and loved it from the first to the last bite. This time? Not even close to what I expected nor enjoyed before. Not terrible but not good either. I was and still am disappointed by what was wrapped up in my bag today. It was half the sandwich it used to be. In conclusion, I experienced inconsistency with this Potbelly for the first time today. ONLY because of the friendly service and the delicious salad today...3.2 STARS!!! read more

We enjoyed it! I made an order for the chicken club and a steakhouse sub for my husband. I didn't like how I couldn't add 2 cheeses for an up charge but I added it in the comments and they added it. The subs were amazing. So were the soups. I loved the chicken pot pie one with the breadcrumbs. Delicious. I am so glad we stopped by to try this sandwich shop out! First off the outdoor patio is huge and can seat like 60 people! The indoors is really nice too. I was greeted by a friendly person named Henry! He was able to explain the menu and offer some of the favorites. Although he had a mask on, we knew he was smiling and loved where he worked. After ordering we grabbed a seat and food was made quickly and brought to us. You can see the food being prepared so you know it's fresh. The sandwiches were amazing and the chicken pot pie soup is so good!! I really liked the salad as well, perfect for Spring! As they say you save the best for last and the cookies are amazing!!!
