I don't know what's happening at McDonalds but their attention to keeping their facilities clean is lacking BIG TIME! This store was a mess! Food was just okay, my chicken sandwich was over done, fries were old and very dry. Ketchup Dispensing Machines were completely empty and they were out of packaged ketchup. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. They can't even get an order for an iced caramel coffee right when it's literally the ONLY thing on the order. Also I'm sorry, but since when has corporate policy changed from once it's in the customers hands you can't take it back, to "Oh well we have to take that back from you." If you have been working the same job for literally 20 plus decades and cannot get a single coffee right still then you shouldn't have your job. If you're going to go to this McDonald's ever, make sure it's the night shift because the morning crew is absolutely horrible all the way around. There's at most 3 morning shift employees that deserve their job, the only 3 people who stock or ACTUALLY clean lobby and kitchen anytime I've been there throughout the days. Well every time i go here i ask for CRINKLE CUT PICKLES and they throw the burger pickles in it instead of crinkle cut. I know there's a difference. Workers must be too lazy to take into consideration that a customer wants something specific. I know pickles are pickles but it's different when you have an issue with one kind and not another. If this establishment doesn't have that kind, then they could also tell me that. read more

Have to say I'm disappointed with the remodel. The inside is very small and has only 16 tables/booths. The old play area is now a 3 bench outdoor area when we have 9 months of winter here!! That's wasted space for a cold weather area like ours. The food is like it always is, good Mc Donald's food. But this new restaurant is just super small and no more play area to bring our kids to in the dead of winter!!! So guess first new food joint to have a play area for kids In The winter wins!!! #mcsad Went thru the amazing new drive thru in a hurry this week. It was ok time wise, but my order wasn't correct. I was on my way to work, didnt check my order out until 15 minutes later, so my bad for not checking immediately, but wrong food. Plus hash browns were cold and really undercooked. The kids looked super young running the drive thru, like 11-13 year old looking? so maybe more training to be more attentive to orders??? I dont know, not a great experience there. On the date of July 8th 2021, I placed a mobile order and it was slightly drizzling, they could not bring the meal out. Usually things are pretty good here, but ever since they reopened it seems like the drive thru takes longer, and they've gotten my order wrong a few times now. McDonald's is my favorite restaurant. No one can tell me that any place is any better. The 10 piece McNuggets with a large fry and a sweet tea is what I usually get, and I love it every time. This business couldn't get any better. The soft serve ice cream is absolutely amazing too. read more

This McDonald's was just remodeled and opened again yesterday after being closed for a couple of months. First off, the service was exceptional! The staff was attentive and observant. They took our order correctly and we received our food quickly. There were plenty of workers around to clean and serve the customers. Now the bad news, the old McDonald's building was a lot larger inside and had a play place for kids. The new remodel, while new feeling, is tiny inside and is not family friendly. There are not enough seats for all the customers that were trying to eat. The town needs a place for families to take children that is indoors, as the winters are cold and long here. This McDonald's used to be that place, now it is just a small room with not enough seating. The double drive through is nice and much needed as this is a busy location. The outdoor seating area only has three tables and no shade. In my opinion, the should have enclosed this area to make room for more indoor seating. Better yet, make it a play place again. Overall, the food was the same as you get at every McDonald's. The staff was awesome. The building is new and that's about all there is to say good about the actual building. I over heard at least 10 other people echoing the same concerns I had in my 30 minute visit to this McDonald's. read more

After looking forward to the new McDonald's, we were very disappointed. Despite all the nature inspiration we have here in the Black Hills, the new place has the atmosphere of a prison cafeteria. No imagination was used at all, just a little room with tables and plastic chairs. Only 2 cashiers. The hamburgers we ordered did not have the toppings that are pictured, and I suspect the fries have been changed to a skinnier version. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I'm just a little sad. So they had the Monopoly game this month, so my family hit the McD's in the area. We found out this one charges more for various dishes than the ones in Sturgis and Rapid. And when you order iced tea w/ lemon, they don't have lemon. Every other McDs in the area has lemon. Plus, the contest is over and all we won was a couple of free orders of fries--really wanted that Cobra GT. read more
