Slowest McDonald's I have been to in a long time. Both times we have waited for over 20 minutes to get our simple order. We ordered six hash browns, one of the three pancake and two bacon slices trays, one soda and two waters. There was only two people ahead of me waiting for food. No way it should have taken that long. There were four other people waiting around complaining about the wait when my order was finally ready. And when I say ready I mean I was told I would have to wait on the cups of water and had to come back up for syrup and forks. The diet coke was flat out in the self serve machine so I had to go back up again to get someone to get soda from the back machin. Way too much hassle. The only reason we even cam was because the restaurant is on the way to my parents house and there is a cool playground. This time the playground area was so hot the kids didn't even want to play. It was 10:00 on a cloudy day, shouldnt have been 80 degrees already. We will NOT be returning to this McDonald's again. read more

I'm not a huge fan of fast food however sometimes you have to scratch that itch, especially when the McRib is back on the menu! Visiting this facility is on a busy intersection however it's surprisingly easy to get in and out of in terms of the food and traffic. This McDonalds won't have you waiting long in line with is a good thing and they don't use an AI interface! Also, the people are relatively nice so that's a plus as well. As far as the food is concerned, I had two visits. Visit 1 I ordered a McRib special with a diet coke and fries. The price was $10 which is outrageous however par for all fast food lately. This visit had my McRib extremely dry with barely any bbq sauce, and almost all the onions missed the sandwich. The fries tasted as if they had been sitting for sometime as they were soggy and limp. My second visit fixed all the items as the sandwich was warm, had a lot of sauce and all the toppings made it to the dance! Also the fries were warm this time too which was a pleasant surprise. For those "ice cream" zealots, I didn't inquire if they ice cream machine was working as the story goes..... For those who love the McRib as much as I do, be sure you use the "McRib located" app or website and if that doesn't say they have it, call the store! That's what I did and I was happy to be the first to update the site as this store was the first to have it in Summerville. Just a tip if you're looking to know which stores get the McRib roughly mid Nov- end of Dec. Overall, this store has a fast drive-thru with smiling faces located on the corner of a busy but fast intersection. The food on the other hand is hit or miss in terms of quality and freshness. That said, the flavors are typical McDs so if this is close to you, drop on by to get your fix as this is better than driving extra miles for another store. Check your order. Its wrong about 80% of the time. I really dislike McDonald's but hubby loves a special treat about once a month. I had to cut his habit off recently because the staff is surly, food is ridiculously expensive and incorrectly built and bagged. So first of all it looks like there are way more negative comments about this McDonald and it's a shame that corporate must not be reading them or caring about what customers are writing. I ordered two sandwiches, McNuggets and fries through their website to have delivered through DoorDash. I received one sandwich that wasn't even correct. And when I called McDonald's to let them know of their screwup, the individual told me oh yeah the sandwich's are sitting right here. We put the wrong ones in the bag. He then told me that I could drive up there and pick up the correct sandwiches or go through DoorDash and get a refund for the delivery. It's good to know that something is simple as ordering fast food becomes my problem when they screw up if I wanted to drive up there, I wouldn't have ordered through DoorDash and the fact the person who answered the phone admitted they screwed up yet didn't want to fix it unless I drove up there which makes no sense and is horrible service. It's good to know that when it comes down to it, they do not care about the customer And only the $$$. They should be ashamed of themselves. Because of the laziness of the store, I have to suck it up and eat a sandwich I didn't want and I don't get to eat the second sandwich so McDonald's gets to keep the money because once again if I could drive up there right now, I wouldn't have needed DoorDash. McDonald's on Dorchester Road in Summerville is a well managed and operated McDonald's that does everything you want and expect from a McDonald's. They have been consistent in their quality throughout the years and I have enjoyed coming here. The food here is well prepared and gets the job done. They have plenty of room to eat and this is a good location to have a business meeting in the area or use their WiFi to get some work done. Overall this is a good McDonald's. read more

Poor service overall. I just spent $37 on meals for a family of four. I specifically asked for fresh food. The gentleman that took my order assured me everything would be fresh. I waited 6mins to get the food. After driving home I see that everything is bad. All buns were hard like eating toast. Cheese not melted on burgers, chicken on the sandwich was dry and fries were cold. This is outrageous to spend almost forty dollars and the food isn't edible. The drive-thru can be painfully slow but my orders lately have all been correct and the food has been recently cooked. There have been times here though when the nuggets and fries have been sitting for awhile or were overcooked so be aware of that.
