It's not fast food. Every time I go, I have to pull into a numbered space and wait at least 5-10 min.

I know business is picking up with summer here but there is NO reason for it to take 8 minutes or more to get just a cup of tea. I went to McDonalds yesterday for just a cup of tea and after paying I drove to the pick up window. The person open the window and said Just a minute. I waited while they milled around inside talking, laughing and doing nothing to get me my tea. She came back to the window and said just a minute. How hard it is to get a cup put ice in it and fill with tea? I waited 8 minutes and finally drove off one dollar seven cent less than I had when I came and No tea. My time is worth more than sitting and waiting and watching children being paid at a place of business with no concern for the customer. The Owner needs to check out this. read more

Drive through is sooooo SLOW! Although not as slow as Swansboro's DQ! Much improved since it first opened. I'm not a fast food person but occasionally I need energy to go! Waiting for it is no bueno! Please pick up the pace a bit!:) read more

I went through the drive thru and they were VERY slow! They were very rude. Especially the lady at the drive thru window to get your food. She told me they were backed up but I was the last of THREE cars. Never coming back here! Worst experience I've ever gotten here! read more

Didn't give me the correct change in the drive-thru. When I asked for my money, I was given the run around and then a flat out denial of any wrongdoing on their part. Granted it was 5 bucks, but it was MY 5 BUCKS. She said her drawer was fine. Yeah, now. How many others has she taken a few bucks from here and there? I'm poor and I am not trying to play. This location has become one of the worst McDonald's I've been too. I've worked fast food and I'm usually very lenient and patient with mistakes but I'm done with this particular McDonald's. It used to be pretty decent but over the last 6-9 months it's become horrible. You have to repeat the order every single time now and sometimes 3-4 times. Sometimes they have it so wrong on the screen I think they are doing it on purpose. Then when you get to the window the food is wrong almost every single time. I never leave without checking anymore. The breakfast burritos are now obviously made the night before now and are hard. They are supposed to put the time made and what time they are supposed to be served by but this location conveniently doesn't print it on the sticker. The sodas always have soda all over the outside of the cups. They forget straws half the time. Tonight was the last straw! (pun intended.) Waited 3 mins at the speaker before they even asked to take my order. There was only one other car in the drive thru and another pulled up and ordered before they took mine. I had to repeat it multiple times until they got someone else to come help take the order. We are talking two happy meals and a value meal. Definitely not some super hard order. Get to the window and told I had to pull up because they were waiting on fries. No big deal and I would rather wait for fresh fries anyway. Ten minutes after I placed the order the food finally comes. Keep in mind it only takes 3-4 minutes for the fries to cook. I opened the bags and the fries were super old. Like should have never been served to begin with and especially not after that was the reason I was asked to pull forward. Took the food in and got a refund. They didn't even ask why and definitely didn't seem concerned. I'm done. This location has gone severely downhill and I will definitely never go back. read more

No one goes to McDonald's expecting greatness, however this location is by far the worst store I've been to. Through numerous visits, I've been greeted with eyerolls and sighs from employees. I can always count on them getting my order wrong, and my meals are often cold. This may be due to the fact that a large portion of staff are 16/17 year old kids from the nearby high school, but just today i was told "Jesus Christ, are you sure?" When ordering breakfast for my entire family. Nothing against the kid, but management should ensure some degree of professionalism. This location has set the mcdonalds chain's bar so incredibly low and I hope to see this store improve. read more

I feel lucky to have a very decent McDonald's in my neighborhood! I have lived in a lot of states and more often than not unfortunately McD's doesn't cut it. But this McDonald's is without a doubt one of the best I've been to! The order taker is always friendly and makes sure everything is correct. The drive thru employees more than likely are smiling and look like they like their job!! They greet you with a smile and leave you with a good day! I have never had anything wrong with my orders EVER. The parking lot and glass are always clean. The food is spot on for McDonald's! I just had the new Pico/Guacamole Artisan crafted burger and I have to say it was delicious! I special order food and it's always correct. It may just be a McDonald's to some but I have been a customer since the 60's. And to have one make a sandwich that still tastes like it did back then is special. The swansboro McDonald's is a joke. The service is awful, the wait is always long. The employees basically talk crap about you to your face. I got the sweet bbq burger, and had a dime size dialup of bbq sauce. These "signature burgers" are expensive for the chain, and every time I've gotten one from the swansboro restaurant, they SUCK. They give you zero fries, even in a large, and I always have to pull over to the side to wait! 2 happy meals and a burger shouldn't take 15 minutes! I ask the kid is the sauce in the box's? Yes it is, get home, NO ITS NOT! EVERY FREAKING TIME! I don't care for McDonald's to begin with, I do it for my kids, and hate going there for this reason, my kids still love it bc they are kids and don't yet understand what crap service is. Today I am just fed up, and something seriously needs to be done. When we first moved to the area it still took a while to get the food, but the service was better. The swansboro McDonald's is a joke and gives the franchise a horrible name! They should be ashamed. This type of experience is why I hate "Fast food". They need to get who ever is running the McDonald's corporations in japan to come here and show them good service! read more

I have had all of the incompetence I can stand with this McDonalds! Yet again, my order is messed up. Not once do they get your whole order right! Not once do I ever get to just pull away from the drive thru with what I paid for! I have listened to cashiers who are talking about the parties they attended the night before. I have heard employees arguing with each other I have seen dirty tables and flies. I have been told oh this machine or that machine is broken. The store is broken. I hope the owners see this. I've seen the commercial with the local owners in it. Maybe they need to spend less commercial time and get in the store and clean it up!!!! read more
