This shop had a bunch of cute gifts that you can purchase several types of ice cream and beers and wine. A. Once you grab all your goodies, you can step out to the back porch and view the dock with the boats in the water. It's very peaceful and very nice. This casual, low key shop offers wine tastings and wine making classes along with home brew lessons and supplies for both. The bar flowed with locals mingling and enjoying this chilly, rainy evening. But a little misty rain didn't keep us from climbing the brick stairs to this spot either! This white building itself is historic and assuming with its white railings and large inviting porch! Inside you'll find not only the bar scene, but families enjoying their frozen treats! The gift shop is chock full of fascinating gifts and gadgets. Some are humorous as well as practical. I love the wooden chimes hanging from the ceiling and the colorful sock rack by the entrance. Along with T-shirts, jewelry, fabulous scarves, retro wall signs with snarky sayings, funny kitchen towels, games and cards, there's a lot to see in this small space! You'd be hard pressed to leave empty handed! Pretty disappointed with service. Beer was fine and selection was ok. The "gentleman" working the bar was about as professional as a Suzy Rottencrotch from across the tracks if you know what I mean. He would have done better if he worked at Dick's Last Resort. Come there on the recommendation of a friend who visited there once a week for years and said this guy "must be new" because he's never seen him. I consider myself to be a very frequent visitor of the past years to the coolest coffee shop in all of Swansboro. Offering the greatest view and best drinks this cafe has my heart! Customer service can often be inconsistent but I do understand. The prices of drinks are the most affordable in comparison to other industry competitors. My fav drinks are the Plain Jane, Harry Potter & Snickerdoodle lattes. I've also heard that the frappes are amazing & chai teas never disappoint. Have been here a few times but this past weekend I went with my family and got coffee on Friday night but was so bitter had to throw it out. Went next morning and told the lady there that the coffee was bitter because with espresso you cant let it sit even for 5 secs. She totally seemed to have an attitude with me just for informing her for future guests and I even ordered another coffee that morning and paid for it. The lack of reguard for any kind of input for improvement from a customer is a bit disconcerning. It will be awhile before I return and maybe the attitudes will change. read more

Great little place. I am a long time home Brewer and I went to bake bottle brew expecting to be disappointed, but I was pleasantly surprised. While their selection isn't massive they had all the right ingredients and equipment for an all grain Brewer, or for a new beginning Brewer using extract.
