The food and drinks are always hit or miss. I've ordered here every day for the last two weeks cuz it's the only thing open when I get off work. large drinks are never filled all the way, sometimes the drink have way too much of one ingredient instead of being balanced(chai tea having excessive cinnamon taste) (matcha tea tastes like crap every time), the food had been inedible twice, one with the bacon maples it was burnt, completely stuck together and had like white stuff on it(not like bacon fat), and the other was the bagel bites they were soggy. Then was asked " what illness do you have that you need to have a dog with you " the manager then kicked him out as he wanted to sit down and eat . 100% not nice workers . The woman who claims to be the district manager is not even close to providing good customer service. She yelled at me over the phone over a complaint. She hung up on me. Then when I returned to get a refund and let her know I would not be back that she personally lost my business, she said thank you have a good day. The whole time I was in the store all she could talk about door dash and how busy they were. She even said they need to stop making deliveries! Clearly she wants to work in a store that's dead and has no business. Lady, enter another career, because food service is not your forte! Don't go here! To whom it may concern, My entire family are big fans and truly enjoy Dunkin Donuts. For the last 10+ years I have been drinking coffee out of a Keurig. As a 30 year retired Marine, ever time I leave the house I find a reason to get a Dunkin coffee. Consider myself a wee-bit addicted. In the last seven days, I have been disappointed with the service from the Cedar Point, NC store. Earlier this week, I ordered via the app, my usual extra large coffee and the order was incorrect. I called, spoke with the manager and stated my next coffee would be "On the house". Here is my real concern. Today via the app, I ordered my usual coffee and six donuts. The app says the store opens at 0500. I arrived at the store just after 0515-0520. When I came to the door, attempted to walk in and the door was locked. A couple of employees leered at me standing at the door and ignored me. I waited a minute or so and knocked. Again, I received a leer from an employee and ignored. Waited again, but not nearly a minute or so. This time I wrapped on the door much harder and didn't stop until someone came to the door. Whomever answered the door stated they only had two employees and was working the driver through. Not sure why this would affect me and the importance of my order. She wasn't going to let me in!!! This is not professional and personally it is rude. Another employee walked up and I was "allowed" to walk-in. Upon entering, my order was not ready?? When the app says my order will ready shortly, the employees absolutely ignored my order. Again, the professionalism displayed was, at best, horrible. The app states the store opens at 0500. Dunkin Donuts surely didn't mind taking my order and my money. App verified that my order would ready shortly. I appreciate that Dunkin Donuts may or may not have a policy of opening the doors with a specific amount of employees on deck. I do not appreciate being completely ignored. If there is policy that the doors do not open until 0530, the app shouldn't allow walk-in orders or consider stating that your order will not be fulfilled until 0530. Being ignored is not the way to grow your business. read more

Ordered a hot chia latte and strawberry smoothie. Then proceeded to be asked if I wanted whipped cream. I didn't know what they meant, since I never have heard of either drink coming with a topping as such. I asked which and it was informed to me that they were referring to the smoothie drink. Mind you I have ordered in surrounding Dunkin' Donuts and have never been asked about either drink getting whipped cream for the topping. I politely declined and as the photos show you can clearly see what took place. They already had whipped cream on top and just wiped it off the top! If it wasn't for convince I would avoid this location. I don't know a time where they ever got my order fully correct or didn't skimp out on a drink or over load it with ice. This was a "large" iced latte with light ice. They put it in a medium cup half filled because it looked to skimpy in the large cup. Are you kidding me? I seriously NEVER have a issue asking for light ice or no ice when I go to the one on base or on western. I still get a full sized drink. This is the only location who will legit give you a quarter or half a cup if you ask for light ice. The reason I get no ice is because usually I save them for in the morning because I don't have time to stop then and it's easier. In shouldn't be paying over $4 for a cup of ice and 4oz of drink.oh and you could be the only person there and the drive thru still takes forever! read more

Fortunately or unfortunately, lack of options and location has me coming back (watch out for Starbucks) I literally never show up without one thing going wrong. Consistently get less donuts than I ordered, and had to wait 20 minutes to get regular coffee brewed at 6 am with three cars going through the line. Yesterday I got 5 instead of the 6 munchkins, and it wasn't worth bringing up because I'd been waiting in line forever, just to get home to see the only thing that was assorted in my 1 dozen assorted was the size of each regular glazed donut. Never been so embarrassed in my life, I took my mother,father, and brother in law here for breakfast and Aileen helped us and she was just so rude! We wanted a mixture of the munchkins and she made rude comments about everything we ordered. She kept making comments about how our minds must be going because of the questions we asked while ordering, THEN my Father in law ordered a cream filled donut and she threw it in to the bag we had to rip the bag open to get it out because the chocolate was stuck to the side of the bag. Today I went through the drivethru which I do everyday as I'm a local and they forgot to give me some if my order. I drove off. I went back around and pulled up both the cashiers were looking at me like I'm the biggest idiot. I said y'all forgot to give me the rest of my order. They said "NEXT TIME go through the speaker and let us know your coming back through." I mean should there really be a next time ?? How about don't leave out what I've paid for and definitely don't make me feel in the wrong about it. So I ended up being the one apologizing. No way to treat loyal customers on a beautiful day. Each time I've come has been on a Saturday, and there's really not much to choose from for breakfast on a Saturday in the Swansboro area. I found this DD on Yelp, and gave it a try. I've always received fair service. There is one employee in particular who works here that always goes above and beyond. I will get my donut and sit down at the table, and when my coffee is ready he brings it out to me. Granted this is something that wouldn't normally be done during a busy run, but it's the little touches that I appreciate. Especially when there have been a few times when there is an abundance of staff behind the counter, and the majority of them look lost and as though they have nothing to do. But I don't rely on DD for their employee management skills. In fact, I rarely choose a DD or Sbux if there are other choices available, however, in the instances I went to this DD I didn't find any other choices. I was pleased with the overall service that I received, and appreciated that the seating area was clean and tidy. read more

I only went here twice, I was visiting a friend of mine and this is the only coffee that is around that's close. The first time I visited it was brand new. I thought the customer service was good, the woman was really nice and friendly, I found nothing wrong with the people helping me. At 730am she was as friendly as anyone could be on a holiday weekend that was ending. She made my morning start off right! Bathrooms are clean, always a plus for me. We came here for coffee every day for the week we were on the island. And yeah some of the newer kids working there weren't so swift, but they were all wearing trainee badges so let's cut them a break. This has to be one of the busiest franchises we've ever seen, especially on Sunday morning. I love the doughnuts, they are always fresh no matter the time of day I go! The apple fritters are hands down the best. They have a cinnamon apple filling that is AMAZING! I have had a lot of apple fritters in my life and these are definitely the best! There caramel macchiato is also very good, but I prefer the iced vs. the hot. I get my wife an XL hot tea a few times per week. This DD is hit or miss with me and always has been. Today was the last straw. Went through the drive through and ordered the XL hot tea. Brought it home to my wife. As she was taking a sip she said that it tasted bitter. She chalked it up that it was probably just needing some more cream. She popped the lid off and she called me over to look inside her cup. I was in disbelief at what I was looking at. Inside this XL hot tea was a bag of something that basically took up the entire cup. Disgusting. I was so pissed about this that I drove back up there and asked for the manager. He was very professional and I felt like I kept my cool. I told him that this was unacceptable. He was just as baffled by it as I was. How hard is it to put two tea bags in a cup of hot water? I kindly asked him to make sure that whoever made that beverage get more training on how to make it.
