Throughout the last few months (when things were in an everchanging state), I've been stopping in sporadically here. I've been generally using their one and only Mobile order pickup parking spot and finding service to be just as efficient as going in. But only one having one spot doesn't make it too efficient if there is more than one car waiting for an order from the outside. However, when I went in yesterday, I found the service to be quite different here. Yes, there was the same menu, but I found employees who were actually trying to listen. But what struck me was how the tables were arranged (for inside dining). Tables seem to have been every-other table. Some tables were marked with "off-limits" permanent signs, and other tables were marked with flippable signs designating the need to be sanitized (something I didn't know if I should have flipped or if the restaurant should have flipped; I self-flipped mine.) Green sign sides mean "sit here" while signs mean to find another spot. No real mention of the rules of these signs directly from the employees and no signage up of the rules by customers on the need to flip the table-signs as they are used. (While that's efficient for maintaining social distancing, more signage is needed to tell us how you want the restaurant to act towards other customers.) At no time did I see any employees come out to sanitize any of the tables, but customers were coming in and out of the bathrooms...and speaking of bathrooms...New rules are in place, in the form of signage - as I posted in the picture I took. Only one person is allowed in the bathroom at the same time, to maintain some level of health and sanitation to comply with social distancing with some level of respect, and I can comply with wholeheartedly. I don't know where everyone else was eating their meals, but there were a bunch of cars parked in the parking lot when there was nobody eating their stuff inside the restaurant. I actually felt lonely this time - maybe the effects of a bad situation and no advertising that inside-dining is back open! read more

This location has terrible quality. I asked for a vanilla milkshake with no whipped cream and they gave me a vanilla and chocolate milkshake with whipped cream. How can you mess up that badly? Also, another time I wanted to come here I asked when they would be closing on New Years Day and they said 9:00 pm, and when I came at 6:30 pm they were closed. The McDonald's in Valerie, NY is horrible. Skip it no matter what.....we ordered at 5:35, waited 15 minutes in line with only 1 car in front of us. We finally get to the pick up window....they couldn't find our order. They said to go park and they would bring it out to us. We waited another 15 minutes. I finally went into the store to get my money back, I counted at least 10 people "working" in there and nothing going on. They had no idea anyone was even waiting for an order! This McDonald's definitely needed the face-lift it got a couple of years ago. At that time, the booths were old and wobbly, and many of the padded seats with them were torn and taped. But I think the McCafe style seats fewer people. The staff seem to work well together and have always been friendly and polite. During breakfast hours, everything goes very smoothly. During dinner, it's a bit more hectic. I don't know if it's a different staff, or just the volume of business they do, or a little of both. We frequent this location often. It seems like every time I go thru the drive-thru something is wrong. If we order chicken nuggets 75% of the time we get no dipping sauce even though they ask what sauce we want when we order. Tonight we went through and the service was quick but again no sauce or napkins glad we were eating at home so we could wipe our hands on our own napkins. read more

So, this particular McDonald's is close to me. Next to Dunkin doughnuts and Stewart's, I would have to say the food, is ok good for a quick bite, but service, no not at all. The staff there just doesn't seem to want to be there or want to interact with people. Drive thru is one of the ways I go to get fast food. This is a nice small town McDonalds. The staff is always so kind! We do both the drive through and inside dining. We've lived here three years and the fact that most the staff has stayed the same must mean it's also a nice place to work. Always clean inside and the manager is always directing people to do things to keep the place clean when it's slow. We've never had an issue with food. Yes there are long lines at lunch and dinner, but this is literally the only fast food drive through in town! read more

Ordered 2 sirloin burgers - both raw inside (not rare). Had to go back twice - raw again. The last time I specified to leave it on the grill to cook. No apology. A lot of work for $5 burgers. If I could give less than one star I would. The only reason I go to this particular McDonalds is my grandchildren like it. Understand that this place is across the street from a large high school and middle school. Every other time I've been here I've had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes for my food to be delivered after it was placed. Annoying but OK. This time (maybe around 6:00 pm) I noticed a school bus in the lot and thought to myself "this is not going to be pretty". I also noticed that the line at the drive through was extraordinarily long. Not a good sign. We went in. There were only three people in line but there must have 20-25 people milling about the lobby. We waited for the one person working the counter to get to us. I noticed that while we were waiting no food had come out of the back for the people who had obviously already placed their orders. As we approached the counter, it was pretty obvious that there were a lot of unhappy customers. I heard one of them demand his money back because he had been waiting "27 minutes " for his food. We decided to leave. Hardly a fast food restaurant. Avoid this place like the plague. read more
