Great place in Hudson. We were passing through and wanted a good breakfast, saw this diner with a real "old school" feel and came by. It was awesome, our omelets were full and beautiful, the hashbrowns were perfect, and the staff was so friendly. Wish we lived in the area to get to come back!

Pastrami Rueben,Mac salad,Cole slaw, pickle and a root beer soda. Yum yum

Food always taste great wonderful service fast and friendly. Your typical diner atmosphere with booths and counter service Clean and bright.

There's not a lot to say about Bob's. It's exactly what it sets out to be, a cheap, old-fashioned classic hometown diner serving up the basics. And it does it exceptionally well. The prices are very reasonable. The food good old fashion American diner fare. What really made this place shine to a five star review was the service. I wish I could remember our server's name. Young woman; unusual name. But she was quick and attentive and did the one thing that even servers in 4 dollar sigh NYC restaurants never do; she asked my husband if his bacon was cooked soft enough. It was. And he almost never gets it right, and never has a server until now asked if it was cooked right. That alone made the meal. Bob's also is great with Covid protocol and socially distanced tables.

The food is exceptional along with the waitress and the prices are reasonable.

The food is exceptional along with the waitress. Good food at a reasonable price. My wife and I live in Cairo NY and visit Bob's restaurant at least 3 times a week.

If you're looking for a cheap, great quality breakfast spot, this is the one. This is a great place to bring family and friends. My partner and I are regulars here and enjoy coming every Monday morning. We have always enjoyed their breakfast options. We always order quite a bit since the prices are so great! Coffee is great too! We love the service and the waitresses are extremely polite, friendly, and are always coming around to make sure our coffees are refilled. We appreciate the staff who does a great job in keeping the place clean, cheap prices and most importantly a great atmosphere to be in.

    A delightful breakfast at Bob's

As a consulting engineer I'm on the road a lot and Bob's is exactly the diner experience I'm seeking. Jessica and Namashia are wonderful.

We started with their signature focaccia, fresh out of the oven. Then, a seasonal Asparagus Tarte that was very much a deconstructed version: a delicious butter crust at the bottom of the plate, frisée lettuce, perfectly prepared asparagus topped with a pecorino creme vinaigrette. The perfect spring dish. Next was a Tuna crudo with ramp oil, watermelon radishes, fresh microgreens and toasted hazelnuts. Finally, their take on a Frisée aux Lardons, served with pickled figs. The lardons themselves were nicely crisped, and very satisfying. We had Negronis for cocktails, and a generous carafe of rose, served off the tap. All around one of the best meals I've had. Can't wait for the next menu that Chef Jeffrey Gimmel puts together. Apparently this is a monthly series, so keep a look out and don't miss the June dinner, guessing end of June on a Saturday night?

I ordered the Chicken Sandwich, which was, surprisingly, a chicken SALAD sandwich. I'd envisioned a piece of chicken (which they said was "roasted") with the mentioned Dijon mustard and pickled onions and a side of slaw. Instead, the chicken was cut into chunks and smothered (And I do mean smothered.) in, what I presume was the endive slaw and Dijon mustard plus the pickled onions. Overpowering. This was served with a side of endive with vinegar dressing. The sandwich bread was delicious, though. They should change this item to "Chicken Salad Sandwich" instead of using "Chicken Sandwich." My friends ordered the breakfast sandwich with eggs and bacon and a slice of the quiche, which they said were okay. These three lunches plus a small Coke and iced tea (I had water.) set us back $90.00 with the tip. Way overpriced for the food.

And what a wonderful stop it turned out to be! We honestly had one of the best breakfasts of our entire trip. My son had the turkey sandwich, Mom enjoyed a delicious ham & cheese croissant, and I had the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms,so good and satisfying! My daughter ordered the Dalgona coffee, and it instantly became her favorite. The food was fresh and delicious, the coffee was excellent, and most of all, the café has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can really feel the personal touch and love that goes into this place. If you're visiting Hudson, New York, or traveling through the Hudson Valley, make sure to stop by Nolita's Cafe & Gallery on Warren Street. Support a wonderful local business, grab a great cup of coffee, and come hungry! What started as a rainy change of plans became one of our favorite food memories from the trip. We'll definitely be back!

Ambiance is nice and quaint with indoor and outdoor seating. I can imagine this place getting packed in summer for sure. I liked it! "We don't have a cocktail menu, but we can make anything you'd like."…read more That was one of the first things our server told us, and honestly, it was refreshing. These days, it feels like every bar has a cocktail menu full of creatively named drinks that require reading a list of ingredients just to figure out what you're ordering. At Governor's Tavern, if you want a gin and tonic, you simply ask for a gin and tonic. The only decision you need to make is which gin you'd like. I'm not much of a cocktail person, but I appreciate that not every place feels the need to reinvent the wheel. The place was packed at lunchtime, but we got lucky and grabbed a pair of seats across from the bar. The server who I quoted was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Guinness, but unfortunately the keg had just kicked. She recommended the Samuel Smith chocolate stout instead and even brought me a sample before I committed to taste since I never heard of it, which was a nice touch. For food, we ordered the State Grill burger and the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. Both were excellent, and each came with Belgian-style hand-cut fries. If you're spending the day browsing the boutiques and antique shops along Warren Street and want a drink, a good meal, and a lively mix of locals and tourists, Governor's Tavern is worth a stop.
