As a Rhode Islander, I needed a snack before making the trip to Newport so I stopped by McDonald's and ordered one of my favorites - the double cheeseburger with mayonnaise. They luckily had a deal - $2.50 each for the McChicken or double cheeseburger - so that was convenient. I ordered through the app to get points but picked it up at the drive thru. I couldn't tell if they started using Al to take orders. The burger looked perfect and was warm! The meat patties were very tender; the cheese was soft and partially melted. There was a good amount of ketchup and mayo (I was very grateful that they didn't charge me extra for mayo.). The onions were not overpowering. I should have asked for more pickles. read more

I went thru the drive thru used my reward app to purchase a fish sandwich and fries. I did have to wait a minute or two even though there was no line but not to bad. The cashier was friendly and funny as I pulled up further than I should have st the window to pay. The next window the food came out fast and hot the fries were fresh which was a nice. Went to McDonald's at about 645 on a busy Tuesday Edgar made it very easy to do multiple transactions with my busy confusion and he still did it with a smile this is my favorite McDonald's even if they might forget the french fries once in a while they are faster than any McDonald's within a 10 mile radius. I never write reviews ever, but I feel like every time I come to this McDonald's they always mess my order up in one way or another missing food burned apple pie then there's today. I order a caramel Frappuccino and they give me a hot black coffee like wth can you read an order slip. their employees need to be retrained or something or the owners just need to close it down because they think a remodel will make the restaurant better but it seems they're too busy to run this business properly.they should be ashamed to be a business owners with the way this establishment is being ran. get it together people it's not rocket science it's fast food. great service,good food quality and consistency is what it's about read more

I went through the Drive-Dru, placed my order. When I got to the first window I was asked about my order. I repeated what it was several times. They still got it wrong. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed I was missing the fries. I called and was told to come back to pick up my fries. I went back through the Drive-Dru. I was told to go to the 2nd window. The worker tried to give me a drink; I quickly told her I was just there for fries. When I got home, I realized that I had the fries, but I also had Chicken McNuggets. She had given another customer's order. The problem is that many of worker do not understand English. It's not my business what their first language is, but if you are working where there is a primary language, you need to know and comprehend that language. read more

Very appalling and unprofessional staff and managers yell and swear and only care about hanging out instead of engaging with customers. No wonder the drive thru line never ends and takes more than a minute for someone to say hello at the speaker. And this location itself is nasty! When I used to eat here, I always got sick. Now I know why. Cooks don't wear gloves when they make the food and this one kid runs around like an idiot and sarcastically talks to the customers. Your typical McDonald's, I'm not sure why the low star rating. We came here for a quick bite at one point, my dad has a McChicken sandwich and I had a 4 pc chicken nuggets. I took 11 residents from a nearby assisted living facility to this McDonald's restaurant on Post Road. The assistant manager, Matt, graciously greeted us as our bus pulled up and propped open the door. He then got behind the counter and took each individuals order. The dining room was clean and renovated and my residents loved being there. Each one of them reminisced about days past when they would take their children to McDonalds and how they still love the burgers and fries. We all had a wonderful time and will definitely return! It's McDonald's a huge chain fast food restaurant and here in RI they are every few miles usually 3-5miles from a highway exit making it convenient to go through the drive thru. This McDonald is no different, same distance to highway exit, same mustard yellow and red with a statue of Ronald McDonald himself out in front. They have our door benches if you wish to sit in the sun. I don't like their burgers. The meat is flat, no taste and chewy. Not my thing. However I do like that their chicken nuggets are now all white meat. Their fish sandwich isn't bad taste wise, but fish itself is super small, cheese is thrown on landing half on wrapper, tarter sauce decent from a jar. Now if you like salty fries/hash browns then this is the fast food place for you. Also I like that their kids meals come with apples and a go gurt so it breaks up the fry and meat intake for your child. Breakfast is decent. Eggs aren't fresh come pre-made in square form, but rest of sandwich is ok. This store 2 out of 5 times never has their soft serve working. Bummer... Inside here is pretty clean. Again, I love this place. I love the kiosks, tables, seats, view, music, etc. They have fixed their coke and now it is just about perfect. It's almost a waste of time to post a Yelp review for a chain restaurant such as McDonald's but this one is worthy of my time, since it's more terrible than most fast-food places I've been to, worldwide. The service is atrocious and the speed and accuracy are a joke. I only go here when I'm super hungry and I regret it almost every time. This evening, I drove away after the drive thru took an excessive amount of time (the car ahead of me had to park to wait for their food) and I only hope that the owners read this. This place is good for the drive thru, but I'd recommend not to go inside though. Going inside is a PIA because the workers take FOREVER to give you your food. Every time I've come inside, I've had problems. I ordered a burger, and they had it for the drive thru. I also got yelled at because I asked for two drinks, but only got one. We stopped in at 12:30P for a couple of Bacon McDoubles. When I took them out of the bag at home, they seemed thin. A quick look inside showed the problem: no hamburgers. It was nice to get all the condiments, but really, how does anyone forget to put the burger in a cheeseburger? When we took them back, the manager just called out to the crew that she needed a couple "with the burgers." This is the worst McDonald establishment in RI. Yesterday I went there and sat in the drive through for 20 min. After I see that their ice cream machine is broken for the 20th time again I decide to order a smoothie instead. Finally getting to the window, then they decide to tell me they need to insert a new smoothie bag, instead of telling me to pull up and wait for the smoothie they made me sit parked outside the window holding up the entire line, while other workers were smoking in the back. 10 min later I got my half way filled, wrong size, watered down, smoothie. I usually don't write reviews about McDonald fast food restaurants but needed to write this one. So we visited the Warwick area for a few days in August and went through the drive through at this McDonalds twice. On the first occasion we ordered chicken nuggets with barbecue sauce, said it on the screen and on the receipt, well we got sweet and sour sauce instead. The second time we went we again ordered chicken nuggets with barbecue sauce, again said it on the screen and the receipt...again we got sweet and sour sauce instead...this time they also shorted us a large french fry. Luckily we checked the food prior to leaving so we drove back around to the drive through. I was thinking maybe they are just out of barbecue sauce...nope they had it. So twice in a few days they did this to us and who knows how many other customers...maybe due to laziness or just not caring but the lack of good customer service shows. This McD's is the one of my choice. Clean and bright inside. Employees have been pleasant and courteous. Occasionally someone may not be pleasant but that is not the norm. Everyone has an off day. On a busy day the drive thru may take longer but customers shouldn't be ordering large orders in the drive thru. Get out of your car and go inside. Ive never recieved such horrible customer service from any company in my life. Not just restaurant. ANY company. About 6 months ago i was ordering at the drive thru, maybe 4 meals and a mc chicken, nothing too crazy. After the second meal i was asked if that would be all, and i said no. I was about to order the 3rd meal when the drive through screen shut off. I sat there trying to contemplate what just happened. I said hello probably 3 times and sat there another thirty seconds and decided to drive up to the window. The young lady behind the register when i pulled up, opened the window and just looked at me, just expecting me to hand her money, no hi that will be 19.99..nothing. without saying a word she hands me a reciept change and the food and closes the window. I had to go around a second time and she did the same thing. I immediately called the number they have on the window in case of problems and took a picture of the store number. Having to basically haggle with i dont even know who on the phone. I was supposedly put on the phone with the manager who told me that no one works here that looks like that when they asked what the girl looked like who took the order. And offered me a five dollar credit if i came in again and i told them my name. I didnt go back until tonight. To order a vanilla cone, thats it. There was one car ahead of me and no customers in the dining room. I sat at the mic for over a minute before anyone said anything to take my order . I ask for a vanilla cone. It shows up on the screen and the woman says nothing. Nothing . I would have even accepted a grumpy. Dolla twenty seven!. I drove off. I am never returning to that place again. Theres no excuse for a fast food restaurant to have people like that employed there. Especially considering each mcdonalds has backed applications on file 15 or more deep. read more
