I was just there at 9pm on 6/8/25 at the curbside pickup parking spot, pulled in and it was really quick - came out in under 5 minutes. She gave me the bag and my boyfriend in the drivers seat said "the name should be ___" just verifying she was giving us the right items. Not one word, no response, she just walked away. Nothing. I mean how miserable? What if it was the wrong stuff? I hate complaining when I get fast food because I already feel gross - but she is just so miserable. I hope she finds a job she truly likes. I gotta give it to this particular McDonald's for their effort in maintaining a great establishment. This is probably one of the most fresh fast food restaurants in Suffolk County. Burgers and sandwiches are always hot and fresh and they even give treats to my dog when he rides through the drive thru with me. This is my preferred McDonald's to where I live. It is one of the closest to me and out of those, it has messed up my order least of them all. Also, the food is always up to McDonald's normal quality. Don't you hate it when the burger is bad or fries are old/limp/gross. Haven't had that problem there. I'm not saying it is the best food. I'm saying it is more inline with what corporate would want you to find there. It also has ample parking around it and two drive-thru lanes. Granted, they merge before the pay window. It still alleviates the lines created by the person taking too long to order ahead of you. When I am in my area and want McDonald's, I go here. read more

This was my first visit to this McDonald's. The lobby is very small and kind of a strange setup. I can't imagine how cramp it could get during a busy lunch hour. They do have two drive-thru lanes though, so I wouldn't bother going in if you're not staying. We came in around 2PM on a Saturday. Our food came out quickly; it was very fresh and tasted great. I was impressed to see the store manager come out into the dining area & clean & stock (he was also helping behind the counter). The bathroom was also spotless which was a nice surprise (public bathrooms in general make me cringe). I worked in fast food for several years so I'm a bit of a critic wherever I go, but this location left a good impression on me. read more

Horrible Never gets your order correct and don't care. With all the other McDonalds around I would not use this one. They can't understand how to read off a screen. Your bill is usually correct but when you get home it is wrong. Even if the label on the sandwich is correct. It will be wrong once you open it. Too many young kids and not enough adult supervision. Ordered a Big Mac (No Pickles or Lettuce)!and McNuggets. McNuggets were fine but when I opened the Big Mac I saw that it had both lettuce and pickles on it. When I went to remove the undesired toppings I noticed a long brown hair with some sort of fiber/cotton on it. At that point I packed everything up and disposed of it. Usually an ok McDonalds location but tonight (sat 2/27/21) a really bad experience with the drive through team ans even worse with the supposed manager of this West Islip location. First they mistook my order. When i took my order and told them it was missing an item, not only didn't they apologize, but also refused to let me pay at the window and told me if i wanted it I needed to come inside and pay for it.. right in the middle of a &$#@ pandemic!!!! When the "manager" got involved she close the window and ignored me, then , a few minutes later, reopened it and refused to give me her name while threatening to call the cops.... all this for freakin medium french fry!!!!! I recommend that the owner of the west islip franchise, provides a little more customer service training to his managers, because now, for 1 medium french fries, they just lost a weekly customer for quite a dew years!! Terrible service , I ordered two small fries and got one small fries and an empty packet where the second small fries should've been( I did Check the bottom of the bag and there weren't any fries in it) , second, I ordered a Bacon Mc double and the bacon wasn't even cooked , the entire bun was stale as if it was a rock :/, there wasn't any ketchup on it and I also ordered chicken and it was like stale hockey pucks.
