I do not recommend this McDonalds. Our food took a long time to be served and when it was served it wasn't nice and hot- not even warm. Instead of bringing it to the table the shouted out my name to come get. I don't mind it's just that if you aren't going to use the table numbers then don't offer. I personally think they were more inclined to work the drive through than serve the sit down customers. I believe our food sat for a while before shouting for me to come get it. This was the worst McDonalds experience I have ever had. It took us 45 minutes to get our food and people who ordered after us were receiving their food. The women working even acknowledged that our order was taking too long at the 25 minute mark but did nothing. And then when we finally got our food they were missing some items. This is by far the worst McDonald's in the 804.You are better off going to Burger King where you pay a little more but it's fast and reliable. Walked up at 730 on a Saturday night and a worker ran up to the door and locked it. Why is the lobby still closed?

Firstly, they took forever in the drive thru. Secondly, they proceeded to put tartar sauce on my sandwich after i said no tartar. Then and not only then, I went inside to tell them, and it took them 15 minutes just to acknowledge me. I had to say "excuse me?" and then the lady was like "i'll be with you in a moment" after i had been standing there for a solid 15 minutes. This was quite possibly the worst McDonald's I have ever been in. We were actually reluctant to dine inside after placing our order at the kiosk and having a seat. Every table was dirty, with crumbs and such. The floors were just dirty and also had crumbs, trash, and food on them. This was a pit stop heading back to Richmond from Port Haywood and we spent some time there, and not 1 person attended to the cleanup in the "dining room ". It wasn't that busy inside, maybe the locals know better. All I can say is that it is clear that this location has had a recent renovation but no one is caring for it. I also greatly dislike ordering from a machine. Put people back in your store so that you can have some upkeep, or get a robot that can clean. read more

Beautiful modern facilities, but tremendously disorganized service. No one at counter to take order when we arrived. More than ten minutes between ordering and getting food. They were out of both sweet and unsweetened ice tea. Oh, and we realized after we left that we did not get our beverages. And my daughter didn't finish her McNuggets stating that they were gross ... a McDonalds first. Will avoid in the future - you probably should too. read more

Brian the manager is doing a great job. He has made this place so much better. The lady behind the counter is so cheerful it makes a huge difference . I generally avoid McD's because of the counter personnel. Most of them don't make you feel very welcome and are more interested in anything other than customer service. This McD's was thankfully a different experience. I ordered the steak & egg McMuffin for breakfast, and asked if it came with onions. The counter person immediately knew that it did, and when I requested no onions she with a smile said it would be no problem. She continued her pleasant smile when I picked up and order and pleasantly said that she hoped I enjoyed it. Had never heard of the steak & egg McMuffin before, but I enjoyed the taste. With it I had the hash browns and sweet tea. Glad to see a McD's that is pleasant towards its customers. read more

I have never gone to this McDonalds drive in where they got my order correct. By the time you get place your order and get your food from the window, its almost never worth the time to go back through the drive in and get it corrected--you end up going inside to correct your order, which totatlly defeats the purpose of a drive in. Some recent screw ups: I ordered two McRibs with no onions. What I got was one McRib with onions and another McRib where the employee tried to pick off the onions but didn't get them all. Another example: I ordered two unsweet teas. What I got was one sweet tea and one soda. Another example: I ordered a large fry and got enough fries to maybe make up a small fry order. My example just today: I ordered a Big Mac with no onions and extra pickles. What I got was bread, a slice of cheese and two patties--no lettuce, no pickles, no special sauce. My advice is don't go to this McDonalds unless you have time to order at the counter and sit down and check your food. read more

The customer service here has always been lacking but I believe it's getting worse. Today I ordered and I thought a dmv teller was working the drive through. She made it very clear I was an imposition and took her sweet time in even acknowledging I was sitting right there at the pay window. Both at the order and pay window it was just awkward. This drive-thru makes absolutely no sense. I am asked to order at the first speaker, but there is no way to actually read the menu from that location. We don't eat here very often so it's not like I have this menu memorized or anything. The food is pretty good at this location and it's reasonably clean. The service/management is lacking, however. I'm a teacher at the local school and I was told that teachers get a free coffee on Tuesdays. They even told me that it has a name; Teacher Tuesday. Well, imagine my surprise and embarrassment when I went on Tuesday morning to get a free coffee and probably a breakfast sandwich as well (I wouldn't mind paying for a breakfast sandwich if I'm getting a free coffee), when I was told that that isn't the policy. The young lady at the counter told me that I need a special card, not my Teacher's ID from the school, but a pre-paid card that is obtained through the school. The school had no idea as to what card I was referring and several teachers told me that they get Tuesday coffee all of the time. Well, needless to say, I won't be returning as it was an embarrassing experience having been made to feel like I was looking for a handout. It's just as well, I clean my coffee maker at home with much greater frequency than they do in fast food places. read more
