Great Donuts Went there and got a sampling of their glazed and cinnamon sugar croissant donuts, glazed, Boston cream, king cake and s'mores. Of the donuts my favorite were by far the croissant. Both were fantastic and I would get both again. I love cinnamon sugar of any kind so that I knew that would be my favorite. I also really liked the king cake donut although it is a little sweat for breakfast. My wife liked the s'mores donut. The Boston cream had an after taste I didn't prefer and I am not really into filled donuts in general but that is just a personal preference. The glazed donut I thought was pretty subpar. It looked and tastes like it was a day old and we went on a Saturday morning at 9am so you would think they would be fresh. On another visit I tried the apple fritter because we got there late and it was the only donut left. It was fine but I wouldn't get it again. Staff was nice and location was close and clean. Overall I would definitely go back for the croissant donuts and may try other flavors in the future (there were plenty we didn't try). Went through drive through and told they were out of Old Fashioned donuts. I got glazed then the lady at the window shorted me by $5.00 when I got my change. The manager stepped in and corrected my change. Coating in the glazed too thick. Not a great donut experience! read more

I absolutely adore this little place. I come and grab breakfast here every time I bring my dogs to the groomers next door. This time I had the pleasure of eating with Mr. Stevens, (better known as pappy) who is the owners father. He also is one of the cooks in the back and I must say he is doing a good job. Everything I ordered came out fast, and was cooked to T. I appreciate when a bagel made like this is not greasy. There were no other customers at the time I ordered and I enjoyed pappys company while I ate. He is a character and brightened up my day. I think that this is a great win for the area. read more

I got a pretty tasty coffee, donut and breakfast sandwich! Staff were friendly and fast. The shop was pretty small and a bit packed during the morning rush but I'm not really complaining since I wasn't intending to stay to eat. Only thing I will note is that if you're getting coffee make sure you try and specify how sweet you want your coffee. They made mine waaay too sweet but I didn't specify so next time I will. read more

Growing pains. After reading raves about their Burgers, I stopped at TDF earlier today to get carryout. I chose the Double Dose ($8.50 (2) 4oz. Patties (80/20 mix) served on a Buttery Toasted Brioche Bun.) With Bacon, and LTM. I gave the gal my name, Kimberly. When I paid for my order, I was neither given nor offered a receipt. While waiting for the Burger to come up, I ordered 2 Doughnuts for tomorrow morning. The Burger came up in about 10 minutes. A gal at the front end yelled, "Kim?" After getting no reply, she repeated it, "Kim?" I stepped forward and asked, "Could that be Kimberly?" Apparently the gal taking my order felt authorized to truncate my name. I drove home, Burger in one bag, and two Doughnuts in another. At home, the Burger, although sloppily constructed, was still warm enough to eat. So I did. I've had perhaps 6-10 other Hamburgers this year, and each was streets ahead of the Double Dose. The DD was sloppily constructed, was way too dry, and lacked flavor. I'll provide an update about the Doughnuts tomorrow. Parking is a cinch in the shared lot; the store was squeaky clean; all personnel were very pleasant. read more

We came in and waited exactly 8 minutes for someone to take our order. No greeting, no welcome, just three girls bustling about making orders. Um you take three seconds to say "hello" or " welcome we will be with you in a moment" . They would turn around look us in the face and turn back around. I finally caught a girl's attention and she asked if we could be helped. She informed us they ran out of donuts at 9am. I then asked how long for a breakfast sandwich and she turned around looked at the 2-3 workers in the back and said,"10-15 min"?? Staff is super friendly!! I deduct one star because one of the two donuts I ordered tasted as though it had been soaking in grease, the bottom was even crunchy. Once I removed the bottom "crust" of the donut, it was fine. The other donut I ordered (same flavor) was great. read more

In a small shopping center with a pizza joint and Chinese takeout next to the DQ gas station complex. The place is tidy and clean with an efficient, friendly and engaging staff. The 3 part logo includes: 1) Donuts, 2) Coffee & 3) Burgers. Since it was lunchtime and I'd missed my early 'daily fix' went with one of each and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the entirety of my order. The locally roasted Bugle Call Coffee was simply delicious, as was the burger and donut. All fresh and made to order quickly. Enjoyed the smooth house blend with the oreo donut while the burger was cooking. Plan to return next time thru, definitely worth a jump off the interstate on the way into Richmond. read more
