Have gone to this location many times and had no gripes.... until today. Ordered a milkshake that was like water. Went in to show the staff and was told that the machine can't be adjusted so basically what you see is what you get. Didn't argue, left to go home and took a sip of it. Tasted almost sour. This evening of 11/13/24 I stopped in to the drive thru to order a meal. Service was good, when I received my order I ate a couple fries as I drove out of the parking lot and they were ice cold. I returned and asked for new fries which was met with acceptance and a little attitude but hey I get it. I didn't have a problem with the service, after they took my original fries, they put them back in the fryer and proceeded to serve them to another customer, fries that I had already put my hands on. I find this to be repulsive and from my restaurant experience against many food codes. Stopped here for dinner on the way home from a visit to Hunt Valley, MD. This McDonald's is located in the Lisbon/Woodbine area just off of Interstate 70. It's a rather small McDonald's on the inside. The seating area is smaller than most McDonald's. The Men's restroom needs to be gutted and reconstructed from scratch. It's run down and smells bad. I got my food to go - ordered a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a small order of fries. The burger was fresh, hot, and tasty, whereas the fries were past their prime. About a week ago, I stopped in this McDonalds for breakfast. I ordered a bacon, egg, cheese bagel. When I opened up the wrap on it, I noticed the bagel was barely toasted but the worst thing was...there was only one strip of bacon (cut in half) for this sandwich. It wasn't a cheap sandwich either. Think it was over $5. Don't remember exactly but I was very disappointed and for that price, there should have been 2-3 slices of bacon. 90% of the time my orders are in completely filled at this location. Most of the time it's something small like dipping sauces but more than just occasionally it's a sandwich, fries or apple pie... Every time I call to complain the manager tells me he cant refund me and to come back to get the item they forgot to put in the bag or see him for a "free" item next time. That usually ticks me off as an IOU for something I already paid for isn't "free". I have never took him up on the offer as its it's not worth the time, gas, or the aggravation. On this particular occasion before leaving I went over that order verbally with the girl (who was pleasant) who gave me my food but clearly didn't check. I should've checked myself but to be honest there were a lot of bags to carry on my own and I didn't feel like going through all of them on what little counter space was available do to plexiglass COVID force fields. By the time I got home I realize that my spicy chicken sandwich and two of the four apple pies (dont judge me) I ordered were no in the bag with the rest of the food. My Fries were also cold but that's another tale. I called and spoke to The manager who confirmed my food didnt make the bag. This time I insisted on my money back. Initially "Gary" told me "no". It was not till I told him I was on my way back to see my money returned in person that Gary said he would refund me. This is a fairly common problem. I don't know why McDonald's Can't figure out how to refund my card without me being present. Every other business has a way to do this...You simply call customer service and they give you a refund. I shouldn't be charged for items I didn't receive, especially when the manager can confirm I didn't receive it. It makes no sense to make me drive back, burning another 40 minutes of my day, and another gallon of gas to get back $6. My $6 return didnt even come with an apology for the inconvenience. Restaurant options are pretty slim in this neck of the woods but I can promise I will not be returning to this McDonald's location. read more

I wish I could give this particular restaurant a zero star rating. Because of a work situation I was in for just over a year, this was my only quick food option so I used it three or four times a week. It became a game with myself after a few months; How many times out of 10 would I get even a lukewarm order of French fries? Answer: 0. How many times out of 10 would I get a warm cheeseburger or even one with a fresh bun? Answer: again 0. How many times was any soda? I ordered the correct mixture of carbonation to sweetness? Exactly, 0. A good apple pie from McDonald's is amazing, a guilty pleasure. But of course not at this McDonald's. It's so overbaked and dry that you don't know what fruit you're eating inside, and actually not edible. Only myself to blame, as I tried over and over and hoped to get lucky as I went through this idiot phase of even stopping in, lol. This is also the only McDonald's I know that uses those nasty paper straws that disintegrate in their flat sodas. Look, everyone knows what they're getting when they go to McDonald's. I come here on a routine basis whenever I'm in the area but I doubt I'll come here again after the service I was given today. For starters the woman working the cash register was extremely rude to me and cut me off in the middle of my order, whether it was due to technical issues or not, she never answered me back when I repeatedly asked if anyone was there while sitting at the kiosk through the drive-through line. By the time I get up to the window, she still had just as much of an attitude. I asked if she had gotten my whole order and she said all I ordered was the one thing, and when I said no that's not right, she contradicted me saying that I was in the wrong, not her. So I left, I wasn't about to sit around and deal with someone who has a bitchy attitude like her. If you can't handle a job working in customer service, then I suggest you find somewhere else to go in the working world. I can think of a million people that would kill just to have a job to help pay for the bills and to support their families and this woman obviously had no gratitude or interest whatsoever towards helping the customers. Never ever have enough staff. I kept trying this place but the last three times have been dreadful. Waited more than 10 minutes in the drivethru only to be told to pull around and park for my food. Then I waited another 10 minutes for it to be delivered to my car and the order was missing two items. Next visit I went inside to order and stood behind two others which took more than 10 minutes just to place my order. They're running around like crazy trying to get orders out to drivethru customers and not enough staff to take, or make your order. Third time was just like the first. Absolutely one of the worst McDonald's I've ever been in. Stopped there late night after a school play with my wife and four kids. Ice machine broken, food took 20+ minutes to get, managers sitting around a table gossiping and complaining, off-duty employees going into and out of the food service area picking up what appeared to be free food--burgers, fires, etc. and eating while gossiping with managers. Special order ended up incorrect after waiting 20 minutes. Restaurant dirty. Really just awful. Look elsewhere if you can. Just wanted some damn fast food. Came in at 12:23 am and there was a line of people waiting for over 10 minutes. Their credit card machine is down so they only accept cash. They only had 2 people working. Absolutely horrible. Not sure if this is corporate or franchised owned but mcdonalds you FAIL. I feel so bad for the two workers working. People waited so long for food but lady taking orders still had smile on her face and was very kind. The two workers need a raise because they handled it very well and were very nice. Victoria and Milton were kicking butt taking care of customers and deserve time and a half or some type of compensation for providing excellent customer service despite their company failure. System went down and they literally had to take orders by hand and use calculators. And cash only.
