This should be interesting. So, I've been meaning to visit this place for a few months now. A friend of mine visited and raved about it. Day of visit... I walked in, checked out the menu and headed up to order. I ordered the Pesto Chicken Panini no cheese. Also ordered the Fresh Brewed Tea. I must say, everyone there was really nice and polite. They speak when they walk by and/ or if they happen to make eye contact. I love that! The environment was cool. The cafe is located in a shopping center at the corner which allows for outdoor seating and plenty of parking. They have a lot of stuff there. They sell bagels, sandwiches, soup, specialty beverages, reusable cups, freshly bagged coffee, you name it! They have a couple of those signs saying that time basically isn't of the essence. Everything's made to order. That's cool, but I never thought my panini would take 30 minutes, but it's ok. ... I had plenty of text messages and games to get updated on. Let me start with the panini, it's not your average panini. It's not on the flat sourdough bread that you anticipate. It's on a small roll. It's delicious! Fresh and soft. The pesto, delicious! My chicken, it was a little tough and difficult to chew. I would say a 3rd of it I just couldn't chew. I want to return back for a Reuben sandwich but I am afraid it may be tough as well so I think I try a breakfast sandwich. Specifically that Bagel BLT. Fresh brewed tea can be a handful and a hassle to sweeten to liking but this fresh brewed tea was worth it. They have a nice condiment station where they have several types of sugar to choose from. I put a few of the raw packets of sugar in and it was perfect. The fresh brewed tea had a smooth taste and actually probably would have been good without the sugar. I just couldn't go without. Although the food didn't win me over, the customer service certainly did and I am dedicated to returning back into a find that perfect match for my tummy. I'd definitely visit again!

Cream cheese wasn't good; and barely tasted onion in the bagel. Service is always perfect . Not sure if we'll return.

They make 5 of each bagel in the morning and are out of half of their inventory by 10am every single day. It's ridiculous.

Meals are made to order, so we enjoyed relaxing and getting caught up with one another. My sister-in-law ordered the Smoked Beef Brisket Philly and chose the German potato side salad--she specifically returned to try that side again. I had the Sloppy Goodness, a delicious moist lamb burger topped with a non-traditional French onion soup and melted Provolone on a brioche bun. My broccoli slaw side was great as well. We enjoyed everything so much that we left no leftovers behind. We had hoped to share a chocolate mousse, but it was sold out--just another reason to come back. Portions were filling for us, and my dish was pure comfort food. The Bistro also offers two private rooms for small gatherings. We went on a weekday afternoon, it's a charming spot for a relaxed, unhurried meal and conversation. A place I wouldn't be surprised to find as a local hangout.

I asked her what she ordered but I already knew "that face" she made. It was the "Short rib gnocchi face". She explained that the meat was cooked to her liking but the "sauce" was not good. Overall it was a pleasant experience with good food and a welcoming atmosphere. Parking was easy and conveniently located directly in front of the restaurant. There is also outdoor seating available during good weather, and they even offer a dog-friendly menu for your four-legged companions. I would recommend calling ahead to confirm whether the dog menu is available year-round or only when the patio is open. Inside, the dining area is spacious and comfortable, making it a good option for both small and larger groups. They offer daily and weekly specials in addition to their regular all-day menu. Tuesday wing specials seemed to be especially popular with several members of our group. The food was the highlight of the evening. Everything brought to the table looked fresh and flavorful, and I did not hear a single complaint about anyone's meal. A few people ordered the wings and thoroughly enjoyed them. The biggest challenge during our visit was the service. Our server was friendly and clearly trying his best, but with a larger group and separate checks, things became a bit scattered and confusing at times. Orders and checks needed a few corrections before the end of the evening. In fairness, the general manager stepped in to help resolve an issue with one meal, which was appreciated and helped improve the situation. Overall, despite a few service hiccups, the quality of the food and the comfortable atmosphere made this a worthwhile visit, and I would return again.
