So picture this: you've been sitting in traffic on I-355 for over an hour, and after exiting at 75th you now know you're running late for whatever you had planned that evening. Knowing there's not enough time to get home and cook a meal, you think about alternatives. Now, if you WANT to be late for your evening plans, then get in THIS drive-thru lane. I don't know what it is about this McDonald's, but it's just always bad. Drive-thru service is a LONG wait, even if you're just picking up a single item and you're the only car in line. Food for thought (oh, that's right - you're still waiting for your food, you don't have any food yet! How about some insight, then): why the %&*# do they have two menu boards/speakers, but a single line of traffic? What's the point? It has to be so they can serve you twice as fast in order to serve your food twice as slow; there's simply no other explanation. Think going inside is any better? Think again. Just do yourself a favor and keep driving. Go to ANY other restaurant in the vicinity. If I ever consider driving back here, it will be the day the kitchen can keep up with the cashier. I'm giving this McD's a 2 star rating for the following reasons. The parking lot has no room for walk in customers and when you do finally get a spot you have a good chance of getting run over by someone going through the drive-in. The service was good but the ketchup machines where not operating which tells me they need to do some maintenance in the morning. One last thing when the muffins are done use a plastic glove to move them to the case, I really don't want to guess where your hands have been. read more

Cashier messed up my order and the guy ahead of me. He said I ordered a quarter pounder (#2) when I really ordered an two cheeseburger meal (#9). I didn't catch it until I had already paid. The cashier told the manager, she gave us the correct food. I told her "ok but I still paid $1.80 more that I should have." She looked at the receipt and couldn't do the math. I told her the difference and she ended up handing me .95 cents. I'm not sure where she got that amount from but I couldn't stand there any longer since it was so crowded. Never going back again. My daughter received an undercooked quarter pounder....pink inside. I went back to speak to the manager, Doina, but she says it's not their fault and it's something wrong with their thermometer...huh?!?!?! How is it not your fault then?? I went to McDonalds the other day and I ordered my usual with a coke but when I got to the window where I pick up my food the said to pull up and wait for a coke, I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for a coke, I got so annoyed that I walked to the window and asked where my coke was and they said that they forgot, it was a terrible experience. read more

Playground area is huge, FYI. Probably one of the best ones I've seen in any McDonald's! I drive-thru here often for their $1 coffee and the $1 hashbrowns or $3 McPick 2 for my kiddos (nuggets and fries). It's never super crowded from what I've seen. Service is always nice and speedy. I get my coffee how I like it, my kids get their treats... I really can't complain. So much better than the crazy Bolingbrook location by Costco!!! read more

Worst service in the world. Completely slow and incompetent to even make an order correct but is labeled correct. DO NOT GO HERE! you will be completely UNSATISFIED with every part of your order. You ask for ranch the worker looks at it and puts in the bag when it clearly says sweet and sour so clearly they are not able to read either which is why your order won't be complete the way you ordered it. I waited in 2 drive-through lanes for zero food. What is wrong with this place? There are two drive throughs at this McDonald's. No one was taking orders at the drive-through line I was in. So cars were just leaving. I drove around the restaurant to get to the other drive-through. And this McDonald's will not make you a ranch snack wrap grilled. I wasted 10 minutes of my time. Drive-thru window can get backed up sometimes and at least once a week their credit card machine breaks down, but they have the best coffee of all the McDonalds that I patronize. Also, all coffee no matter the size is $1.08 after tax, rather small, medium or large! If they forget to offer you the specialty item of the month, it's yours free! My kids wanted to go to McDonalds for the Happy Meal toy and play in the Playland. It is really the only reason to go to McD nowadays so we go once in while as a special treat. First off, the eating area in the Playland was filthy and barely any empty seats left, so we tried to find a spot in the main dining area. While I stood by the counter waiting for our order, my husband had to move the kids because a bunch of teenagers were dropping F bombs within earshot of the order counter and the rest of the dining room. Back to the filthy Playland dining area. Luckily some customers left so there was one little spot that was barely acceptable to eat at. After dropping the food off w/ the kids and husband, I went to fill our fountain drinks. A lady came up to me while I was filling up the drinks and told me my children need socks in the Playland. I told her my kids just started eating and they are not playing yet. She continues to tell me they need socks and revealed that she is the off-duty manager and it's for safety reason. I saw a bunch of other kids running around barefoot and I told her none of those kids are mine and my kids are sitting over in the corner eating. Again, she keeps telling me they need socks. I told her my kids are wearing gymshoes and socks and once again, they are eating and not playing. I also asked her why she was confronting me when she hasn't even seen if she hasn't seen whether we have socks or not. She finally walked away and went back in the Playland to watch her own kid play. During this whole time, I did not see her confront any other parents and let these barefooted kids continue playing while she waits for her kid to be done playing. She did tell the kids once or twice they need socks but not with the same in-your-face confrontation and did not enforce the rule. Their parents were sitting outside the Playland in the main dining room, yet she did not go confront them in their face like she did to me. The final nail in the coffin - the kids looked in the Happy Meal box - no toy but some paper cut-out of a dinosaur or something. They were not happy. They should have told us when we were placing our order and we would have ordered their food a la carte. This is the most problematic McDonalds visit ever and I will never be back. read more

I waited a half an hour and nobody took my order. It was frustrating and there was a long line and many cars drove away because nobody had the patience on the Friday night because the workers there were disorganized. wow. i usually go the the drive through at this McDonalds in the morning when i decide i want a cheap iced coffee... its good coffee and it does the trick when i need it. Very rarely i might decide to have a mcmuffin. First sorta frustrating experience - "medium iced coffee, cream and sugar only." and the speaker said back "A Vanilla Iced Coffee?" not a big deal, i imagine sometimes its hard to hear people. "No, a medium iced coffee, cream and sugar only, nothing else." "Would you like any flavoring?" -Sigh- Second one - "Hi, a medium iced coffee, a hashbrown, and a sausage mcmuffin" speaker says "an egg mcmuffin?" ugh. "no, just sausage." "anything else?" "no" "ok so thats a medium iced coffee, 2 hashbrowns and an egg mcmuffin" "noooo. its an iced coffee, ONE hashbrown, and a SAUSAGE mcmuffin, NO EGG" "you said two hashbrowns ma'am" "Actually I didn't, and even if I did, you don't argue with the customer." this time i let the manager know. third bad time, today 10:53 am, Sunday " Hi can i get a sausage mcmuffin..." "we are serving lunch" "oh, what time do you start serving lunch?" cuz i am thinking maybe its 1030 and i am late... but there's no answer from the speaker. "What time do you start serving lunch?!" nothing. "hello? did i ask a hard question? what time does lunch start?!" NOTHING. "ok, well thanks for that help!" and i left. I called and asked the person that answered the phone "so what time do you start serving lunch?" and she said "11am". and i asked "so why was it hard for the girl at the drive thru to answer me when i just asked the same question after she told me that breakfast was done... which by the way it was around 1055 am when i tried to get a breakfast." girl on phone decides she's going to argue with me "she answered you and it was 11. i was on the speaker with her, she answered you." "she didn't answer me, it maybe was 11 by the time she stalled long enough, but it most certainly was not 11 when i tried to order. i would have at least ordered a coffee..." and girl interrupts me- "it WAS 11 and she DID answer you. I was on the speaker with her." "no, i am very sorry, she did not answer me, and it was not 11am. maybe it was close, but it wasn't 11. Your store and especially the drive thru gets worse each visit. no one knows what they are doing. its extremely frustrating and bad customer service." "Sorry, maybe she was talking to someone else then." So, in McDonald's world, you can make up the orders, make up the rules, and argue with the customer. If kids aren't even able to handle a drive thru job these days, I am certainly scared for the future. read more

The drive-through never takes less than seven minutes. It's like they can't take an order and process money at the same time. Also I order an egg and cheese bagel they always charge me for bacon egg and cheese bagel or a sausage egg and cheese bagel minus the meet. So I'm paying five dollars for a bagel egg and cheese and they always put some sort of weird sauce on it. I don't know how much clearer I can make a bagel with egg and cheese. 6/22: same again today. The drive thru took 7 minutes for three cars to move. I had to leave the drive-thru. I come here often and today was another day where customer service is terrible and can't seem to get my order right. I sat in the drive thru line for 20 minutes or longer only to find out that my extra French fries that I ordered were not included in my order. I asked at the window about it and the employee stated that I needed to go back in line to order some French fries. I expressed that I was not going to go back in line and wait 30 minutes for some French fries. I also was asked what types of sauce did I want with my order and I asked for ketchup and buffalo sauce. I checked the bag after I drove off not to hold up the line only to find that there were no sauces in the bags. THIS IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS ALREADY!! My order is never right, customer service is terrible. If you have employees who hate their job so much they should not be employed there. I am amazed that not one person has complained about the diet coke on here. This is the closest McD's to my girlfriends house, so occasionally we go there to get a diet coke hoping that it will taste normal, like every other mcdonalds I have been to. Not a fan of McDonalds seeing as my dog's food is better quality. Was at a different location in lombard after leaving a hookah bar at 2am and that one was open 24hours inside. There was a grease truck either taking grease or bring it im not sure Ive never worked with fast food but it smelled horrid. Worse than a sewer. Because of this I refuse to eat mcdonalds. Now, on this location. Used to grab some food for my coworkers and I (cause I work down the street) and the manager is absolutely creepy. The guy who took my order acted and sounded like he had minimal functioning brain cells and he'd rather be anywhere but there. Every time I've gone there they've gotten my order wrong. Today was the last day I went there and went be going back. I ordered a bacon smokehouse meal, a mcchicken and a Sprite. I can't even count anymore how many times I've used the drive-thru at this McDonald's, only to pull out of the parking lot to discover I was given the wrong drink. When paying for my order, it was repeated to me correctly... Then pulling forward, I was handed something completely different. Since this is so convenient to my house, I used it often! Before judging me as lazy, or whatever, I walk with a cane, so drive-thru's are a lifesaver. Even tho I now ALWAYS taste my drink before I pull away, more than half the time, it's wrong. What happened to Mc Donald's? Horrible! Ordered the new chicken tenders when a employee came over to the cashier & informed her there were none. She than whispered something else to her. I think I should be glad they weren't serving them as they both had very strange looks on their faces. I than ordered the new burger & was told because of the inconvenience my sandwich would be free. The gentleman filling my order, as I also ordered a Happy Meal for my great granddaughter, must have been training, as I had to ask for my burger & a glass. This was at 3:30pm. We ate in the play area, didn't have socks & were told she could not play. The rule has not enforced before. Several other people came into the area & complained about the service. One woman mentioned she was waiting for 15 minutes for her order. Mc Donald's really? The bathroom was a disgrace. It was not clean & the hand dryer was broken with the front parts missing. The floor of the eating section of the play area was disgusting. By the time we left there was a room full of people waiting for their orders. The drive up was around the building. Really?
