My wife and I live in Norton, OH. Yet here I sit, 45 minutes away, in the McDonald's on Burbank Road (Rt 83) in Wooster, laptop and all, waiting for my wife to finish her volunteer hours for today for the master gardener program she recently completed. As I wait, I decided I had to write a quick review for this McDonald's. We have a McDonald's in Norton. It's OK. But this McDonald's really stands out. This is the 2nd day in a row I've been here waiting for my wife and I have to say -- Bravo. Here is why: * Restaurant is run like a well-oiled machine * CLEAN (including the bathroom) * The food you order is the food you receive, and the way you ordered it * Hot food is served hot * They will bring the food out to your table * Good coffee * All of the employees are friendly, pleasant and helpful * The music is well balanced -- something for everyone -- and at a good decibel level * Outlets (for laptop, etc.) at every table -- woot woot! * The drive-thru moves along at a good pace * They keep everything (straws, napkins, lids, etc.) well stocked I own a business and this is exactly how I expect my business to run: smoothly and with great attention to customer service. Regional manager and up, be informed that this McDonald's should be the example for every other McDonald's. I'm lovin' it! read more

I ordered a large fry No Salt and they didn't fill it all the way, I went back in to resolve the issue. I then had the worker who filled my fries tell me he did it and didn't seem to care at the fact he didn't give me a full fry. Then proceeded to say how he could give me a small, I ended up getting my large fry this time with a bunch of salt stuck to the fry container when i asked for No Salt. I would also like to add another customer ordered just a large fry and a sweet tea and she had to wait on her sweet tea that was sitting on the counter so yes i did say something for her I normally Love this mcdonald's but tonight wasn't it i suppose but it was also the first time i seen the worker there so wether he was new or not he needs to learn how to speak to customers and maybe he shouldn't be on fries anymore because those are the easiest to do read more

If I could leave less than one star I would. The manager (younger girl is absolutely clueless). They NEVER have orders ready, almost always require a "pull up front because we have nothing made". McDonald's prices aren't competitive anymore for garbage food. Go to Burger King on the other side. No wait, better food. Y'all need to revaluate your staff and operations. read more

I try not to review fast food because my expectations are already low but they gave us honey mustard instead of honey and they gave 4 napkins for a huge bag of food that was purchased for 4 people. I keep my orders concise. I don't set foot inside the location. These are things I've done to adapt and survive when my kid simply MUST have a happy meal. (And he doesn't even eat the food. "This burger is grossmeat." he says. It's all about the fries and the toys.) Ranking it against other McDonald's, I suppose it's fine. But against other restaurants in the area? I think the best thing about this McDonald's would be it's location. Beyond that, just be prepared for half of the kids working there to have snotty attitudes and to stand there on their cell phones while they make you pull forward to wait on your regular (unaltered) order. I never order anything special basically. I know it must be hard to find good staff, but how are these kids permitted to be standing there on their cell phones while on the clock? Seriously... crazy. The other thing I don't care for is the 2 lane part of the drive thru. That is such a cluster .... (you know what). This McDonald's also will forget the basics in your order. Once we ordered pancakes and instead of maple syrup, we got honey mustard. So, you can go there as long as you have the lowest of expectations. Or... just expect it to be below mediocre. read more

This place was awful. The employees were rude and my pregnant sister was craving a milkshake and OF COURSE, "the machine was broken," even though in reality, the crew is just lazy and doesn't wanna clean the machine. I would NOT recommend the McDonald's on Burbank. Not good, AT ALL! read more

Usually the best McDonald's in Wooster, OH.. decided to go there after I got off work at 3:15am. we went through the drive through and ordered 20 chicken nuggets, a Big Mac, and two cheeseburgers. We were asked to wait and we waited for about 15 minutes and finally got our food. No one was behind us and only one other car waiting in front of us. You'd think that since we waited so long we'd get fresh food right? Me too... I took a bite of the chicken nuggets and when I tell you I almost chipped my tooth because of how hard they were. And once I got through the nasty hard part the actual "chicken" tasted like absolute trash. I'm extremely disappointed especially with having to wait so long and they couldn't even give us fresh nuggets or even tell us if it would be longer of a wait for them to make fresh nuggets. Ugh. Went through the drive-thru today and ordered 2 chicken McNugget meals. I paid and went home only to discover we had 2 fish sandwiches. Not gonna fly with kids. I called McDonalds & spoke to Josh, the manager. He apologized & said be would give us the nuggets & also free desserts. Fine. I made the trek back & he not only gave us nuggets but more fries, McFlurries & Holiday Pies. While I was waiting, he got another complaint, via the phone, and handled it with professionalism even though it seemed like a lame complaint. Sure, it's just McDonalds but it was so nice to be treated with respect and Josh went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. Unfortunately, you don't encounter many managers like that anymore. Closest one to my house and I do not know why I continue to even bother. It can be a Monday at 11 am or Saturday at 12:30 slow slow slow. Need to hire people with urgency in their blood and quick moving people. Drink station out in dining room always messy and seems to be no structure or rules. Ice Cream Machine broke again,still, more I just got done leaving a customer complaint at the corporate website. At least 5 times this year I have been turned away from this location due to the ice cream machine being broken. Each time it was after 6PM but before 9PM drive thru run for after dinner treat. One time I called ahead and talked to a employee and asked specifically if they were serving ice cream and was told YES 5 minutes later at the drive thru I was told it was broken. McDonald's is my go to fast food choice in general but I think when I am in Wooster I may have to go to another fast food restaurant this one has failed me too many times. read more

No stars for this sub-par, poorly trained, horribly managed franchise. There's so many complaints I don't think I have enough space to go into detail, but I'll just offer some quick examples. For one, they have stacks of free meal coupons on the counter and put them with just about everyone's order because they know how horrible they are already. We ordered 2 drinks and were told to pull over and had to wait. For 2 DRINKS! we had to wait 15 minutes!! That was just the final straw (no pun intended) there's been other things like my wife being called an expletive in the drive thru, then I had to go confront the person in the store, and as an apology the manager gave us free meal coupons which I gave back, one being because they were all expired, and two because I try and avoid this place as much as possible.. anyways, I would suggest to never, ever go to this McDonald's for anything, not even to use the bathroom. I've reached out several times but nobody there seems to care that more and more people are deciding to just not go there. I will actively be telling people to avoid this horrible place. What a joke for a fast food joint. If you want to know more about the crazy horrible experiences just ask me. The handful of times I had to actually go there and give them my money has each had some sort of issue. I have never got my food order correct the first time. Indeed a 5 star experience as reviewed. Fine, dare I say an exquisite dining experience that leaves the palate well satisfied. Reservations are not required, however I see that soon changing. The wife and I had the fish which was cooked to perfection while my girlfriend enjoyed the chicken equally cooked to a desirable level.
