There's a slightly bigger lot beside this business. Staff is attentive and friendly. Staff quickly helped me, and Staff answered all my questions. On ambiance, McDonut's (Montebello) is clean and comfortable. There's a long row of tables, so I casually sat down to eat my donut. Overall, McDonut's (Montebello) is a good option for donuts. As you may or may not know, this place was shut down by the Los Angeles Health Dept. last month 6/2026, or so for RAT (Vermin) infestation and other bugs!) . Went in there the other day (7/15) and we saw the owner kill a GIANT 4 inch brown Roach that was climbing the wall! Disgusting!! We ran out after buying 2 donuts, which we threw in the trash! **WARNING** First Rats, now Roaches?? They're in the midst of remodeling their floor tiles, it's quite loud and dusty. Beware banging from tile removal could be a sensory overload for some. Staff was still friendly. I have stopped here a handful of times in the past and have had no issues. Always thought donuts and croissants have been good. Today however I was extremely disappointed in the service and subpar donut. The lady helping me was extremely rude to both myself and another customer. The lady snapped at me when she did not pull an item for me I asked for twice. She said, "that's why I asked you if you wanted anything else." I told I told her twice. She then snapped at a what append to be a homeless man trying to pay for coffee. Asking if he got his coffee, he said no I was waiting to pay. She snapped at him saying I told you to put you three dollars here. Pointing at the nearby counter. While this was all happening there was another customer who was disturbed by the fact they didn't make her correct drink. The buttermilk I was given misshapen and looked like a heart, about 2/3 the normal size. I don't think I will be coming back. I want to clarify Ernie M earlier impression. The employee was not prioritizing or selectively serving Asian customers, nor were they allowing anyone to skip the line. What Erine M misunderstood at the time was that the employee already knew the customer's order because our friend had paid for it in advance for us before we get our coffee & donut. It may have looked like they were being served out of turn, but in reality, it was simply a pre-arranged order being picked up. Just really good donuts. Super satisfying, light donuts without being greasy. Apple fritter was big, with nice crisp edges, and soft light middle. All the donuts tasted fresh with good flavor. Perhaps slightly pricier per donut, but size was generous. This is the only place I know to include the donut hole of the cronut. I also had a few extra donut holes just throw into my order for free.
