It was in the afternoon, which isn't the best time to get a good donut but I still had to give it a try because the donuts looked so good! For me, the best way to judge if a place has good donuts is to try a simple glazed donut. The glazed donuts at Mandilon are very fluffy and they have the light texture and non-oily taste to go with it! A big yes, on Mandilon Donut! Mandilon, you easily deserve my five donut oriented Yelp stars! Oh, you want more? OK, a basic donut is $1.45. Not bad, and they're worth it! They also sell sandwiches, a nice variety of juices and drinks, and all kinds of scratcher lottery tickets. The bottom line, bookmark this place for a good donut in the area. Stumbled upon this place on my way home. It was in the afternoon (around 4pm) so donuts around that time aren't usually the freshest. However, everything I got was really good. Some donuts were fluffy and airy while others were cakey which I enjoy. read more

We stumbled upon this donut shop & I am glad we did. The cinnamon twist was airy, fluffy, fresh and full of favor! The Cinnamon twist didn't make it out the store . The fresh drinks were also super fresh. I would pass on the coffee next time! It is pretty strong but in a gas station way. No matter how much sugar & cream I put in it, it was still strong . They carry THRIFTY ice cream!!! And fresh juice!!! The donuts are really soft and not overly sweet which I like! It doesn't leave that greasy aftertaste! A hidden gem for yummy food that will satisfy any craving or for a quick bite. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious! I got the turkey egg croissant, a donut and fresh juice. Everything was our within 10 minutes! So this place is perfect when you are rushing to work but need a quick bite beforehand. They serve food quickly so you don't have to worry about being late :) The juice was fresh, I could taste the celery and ginger! $5 for a large and $4 for a medium. Which I think is a really great deal considering other juice places charge $8 for a small bottle.. I also mentioned that the donuts were really yummy because I didn't feel greasy after! Been coming here for some time now for my donut fix it hits the spot and it's conveniently close to me. So yeah I get my donuts here. You know a donut is a donut unless you want something different then head west for your baked or bacon donuts creations but then that's a whole different animal that also comes with a different price tag as well $$$$. I once spent about $30.00 for a dozen donuts from Astro Donuts in DTLA. I think ownership has changed hands as of 2020. Prior to this the person at the counter would grab a box and place my six (6) donuts + the bonus donut or donut holes. The new people I ask them for a box other wise they'll stuff six (6) donuts in a medium bag so glaze just rubs onto the other donuts or they just get sweaty... oh and no free bonus donut or donut holes anymore. You can call in your order for pick up or wait in the fast-moving line to order in-persosn. This was my first time and the last time I go in there. I went to this doughnut shop because I was at super A and I thought I would go try it. The lady comes from the back and I tell her what doughnuts I wanted and as soon as she was getting the doughnuts all kinds of flies where inside the case and landing on doughnuts and I soon as I seen that and she didnt even throw away the doughnut that they flies landed on immediately. I looked at her and said that is gross I dont want anything you should throw it away and I walked out. I told my co workers and they were like let me guess the doughnut shop by super A? I was like yes!!! They said that they had the same problem she was just letting flies stay in the doughnut casing. Unless you like flies with poop on your doughnuts do not go there. Wife bought (was not offered a receipt) and tried one of the dozen donuts she purchased at home. The donut oil was rancid. I drove and tried to get the dozen replaced or credited but was turned away with a "sorry" from an Asian man. (I'm Asian myself) How's that for customer service? We believe the shop had changed ownership, we didn't have this problem prior. Needless to say he lost future business from us. They have donuts, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, variety of coffee hot and cold and to my surprise ice cream too! The service was great and friendly. I came back a second time last week because I was again on my way to work and decided to try their breakfast sandwiches and a cold coffee. I also couldn't resist a donut. So I bought all three items. The gentleman again was quick and friendly with service and I think he remembered me from the last time and gave me a card for further future visits next time and offers discounts if I visit more frequently. That's nice! The sandwich tasted great. I got a egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich, a chocolate donut with peanuts sprinkled on top and a small cold vanilla iced coffee. Wasn't disappointed. I'm not sure how fresh the juices are. I've ordered juices here a few times and I've always noticed how quick they are to give it to me. Within 2 minutes of ordering my juice was already being served. Maybe they prepare some of the main juices beforehand but that doesn't make it "fresh" plus they don't usually taste like anything but celery. I also don't like how I can't see the juice being made in front of me. I guess I shouldn't trust a donut shop! read more
