My experience from start to finish, beginning with the sales rep and ending to scheduling my next…read moreappointment was seamless. When I first arrived to the MDR office I was warmly welcomed by the front desk, I wish I caught her name but she was such an angel and incredibly helpful! I let her know that this was going to be my 2nd underarm laser hair removal (diff company years ago) and FIRST ever brazilian of any kind and I incredibly terrified. She was very genuine and really did try to calm my nerves - especially about the brazilian. She also gave me some tips and told me it was going to be a breeze - it was very hard to believe her but boy did I try! I was taken into the exam room and my nurse was miss Dora and she phenomenal!!!! So patient and experienced and made sure throughout that I was doing ok. She started with my underarms, but before she did I asked for an icepack for my lady parts to freeze while I waited and she gave me one. The machine they use is one I have never experienced, it had a fan and was cooling and FAST. Dora gave me a heads up of the parts where it could feel a a little "spicy" than the normal light pinch feeling and that was helpful so I can anticipate. She then moved down south and this is where my fear really set it - she again gave me some areas where it could hurt and honestly...it was SO freakin easy. I definitely encountered some "oh shit that hurt" moments but honestly it was VERY tolerable. Dora made me feel so comfortable and it was obvious that this was not her first rodeo - I hope I get her again the next time I go! I left with my ego still intact - and again the front desk was ever so sweet and we scheduled upcoming appointments. I also purchased a package that I am very excited to use throughout the year and it sounds very worth it! Thank you sooooo much MDR LaserAway. Ya'll are amazing - praise the lase!

STAY AWAY!!! I called to schedule a simple Hydrafacial, fell for the sales tactics and was sold…read moreinto a RF Microneedling (Potenza) package of 3. I was literally in the treatment room being numbed before the first session and a man from the front desk came in to upsell me on an additional package of 3. For the treatment itself, I expected pain akin to tattoo shading on a sensitive area - this was so much worse. The nurse assured me it was fine. Afterwards I was incredibly swollen and had deep grid marks from the device. This continued well beyond their aftercare timeline, and I contacted LaserAway by email and phone. It took nearly a week for anyone to get back to me. By then I had already gone to an actual dermatologist and was put on a steroid cream to help heal the damage and prevent scaring. I learned that the settings used on the device were way too aggressive. My skin remained inflamed for weeks, and over a year later I still have grid mark texture all over my face, neck and chest & have lost significant volume in my fat pads around my eyes, lips and cheeks. Getting anyone on the phone to resolve this felt impossible by design - eventually I got a hold of the sales rep who sold me in initially, and explained that I had a horrible outcome and cannot continue. They changed my remaining pre-paid package value to laser hair removal, which felt low risk enough. Of the 8 sessions of laser hair removal I had, my appointments were changed 4 separate times, often same day. In the end, all 8 sessions combined weren't nearly as effective as the laser hair removal I've had done elsewhere with fewer sessions. Still, the woman at the front desk made sure to ask if I needed to purchase another package before I exited my last appointment - and unsurprisingly, there happened to be a special limited time promo. I'm left with skin damage, a lot of wasted time & money, and deeply ashamed that I fell for the gimmick in the first place. If you're considering LaserAway, especially for advanced facial treatments, please get a consult & quote from a cosmetic dermatologist first.

I really appreciated how carefully she analyzed my skin and addressed my needs--she did a phenomenal job. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is due to my experience with Diana. While Christina and the new trainee/intern were professional and polite, I noticed that Diana was quite impatient with the intern, correcting her in a way that came across as condescending, including eye-rolling and dismissive remarks. This was uncomfortable to witness as a patient. The intern appeared to be following the script provided to her, which I thought was perfectly appropriate. Everyone is new at some point, and patience, empathy, and supportive guidance can make a world of difference. A private coaching approach would have been more effective and professional, especially in a patient-facing setting. I share this feedback in hopes that it helps improve the experience for both staff and patients. Overall, Christina provided excellent care, and I am very grateful for her expertise.

Booked an appointment online to meet with Cristina Wang. Had the appointment on Friday, June 27,…read more2025. I have Kaiser insurance (they don't take Kaiser) and I figured I'd book her to get a sooner dermatology appointment than with Kaiser. FYI, paying out of pocket with no insurance for a "full body exam" (how it's listed on their online booking system) is $150. I checked into the appointment at 3:16 p.m. (appointment at 3:30 p.m.). The front office staff woman was nice and got me checked in, but that's the only positive thing I can say for this place. The other front office woman showed me to the exam room and was dry with reception. She was asking me about my skin concerns, which I was showing her, and even trying to provide pictures of the products with my current skin care routine. She rebuffed the pictures and said, "you can show that to the doctor". I tried to spark conversation with her and she lamented about it, "being Friday and just wanting to get the day over with". Which, I get, but I should've known this would be the setup to see the licensed professional. 3:30 p.m. hits - not seen yet. Closer to 3:40 p.m. I was seen. Cristina Wang spent less than 10 minutes with me for a "full body examination". I told her I currently have an ingrown hair that she looked at for less than a minute and said was a keloid. She recommended a shot, and I didn't want to start with that because this is literally the first time I'm seeing this woman. She said laser would help address my skin concerns and she didn't seem to want to continue the appointment after I declined the shot/laser treatment. I can say she gave prescriptions for tret and clindamycin that were received by my pharmacy, but I will not be going back to this place. I'll continue the search for a dermatologist who understands melanated skin and will take out the time to listen to/see patients who are paying cash money out of pocket.
