The Good: To start there is no business signage on the front or any type of indication that this is " Uncovered LA" literally just an all black storefront, with blacked out windows and a black iron gate door. Once you walk in though, it is very nice and looks neat and clean. Max who usually does my waxing, is pleasant. She does small talk to catch up and tries give breaks to relieve you through the waxing process which can be painful. The bad: she doesn't use any type of protective barriers on the waxing table which i find very unhygienic. I remember she stopped investing in the paper roll that you use to cover the table similar to what they use in a doctor's office before you sit on the examination table. She started reusing towels instead which i still think is pretty unsanitary. She also use reuses wash cloths to wipe your sensitive areas down and that just freaks me out every time. I've never had someone reuse wash cloths always a fresh warmed wipe. I even thought about bringing my own supplies like I do at the nails salon to not get a fungal infection, but I shouldn't have to do all that. The Ugly: my last visit I unfortunately received a bad bacterial infection after getting a wax from Max. I remember her looking for a towel to put down on the table and couldn't find one and i was in a super rush to catch a flight later that day so i just had her wipe down the black waxing table with a sanitizer wipe and i got it done. She used this same white wash cloths as per usual to wipe me down afterwards. Later that day I started to feel uncomfortable "down there" and had discharge that hasn't stoped since I go back from my trip. When I got checked, I was told it was a bacterial infection and I wont go into to much details, but I find myself having to wear a pantie liner EVERYDAY which is something I've NEVER had to worry about before. I waited a long time to post this review because I didn't want to negatively impact her business, but this experience has really changed my life and the money that I have to constantly spend on liners was definitely not worth a $60 Brazilian wax. Needless to say, I was naïve and really should have voice my concerns, but what an expensive lesson to lean. Ladies please take care of your health and always speak up if something doesn't feel right to you especially when paying for a service.

I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

There is an iPad that is set up at the front desk to check in and select your services. There were only 2 customers ahead of me, but they had two employees working pretty fast, so it was a short wait. Once it was my turn, I had the lady clean up my brows and she gave me a nice massage on my brows at the end. Everything was pretty customary, but it was also fast, friendly and efficient, so it was definitely a 5-star experience, and at $12; it's a good value.

Loved the eyebrow threading it was worth my money and lasted a long time.. will be backread more

I'd been going to my eyebrow lady for 10 years but she moved to Arizona :( I went to another place last month and I nearly cried --- they left them sooo thin. I have a wedding this weekend (in 2 days!) and decided to get my eyebrows done for the first time with Brittany -- huge risk going somewhere new but I was SUPER HAPPY with my beautiful, full eyebrows! She's VERY TALENTED! She shaped and tinted them PERFECTLY! I was afraid they'd be dark (I've seen super dark,sad-looking eyebrows on TikTok!) but they were the right color and looked natural. I'm so glad I found her on here. She's precise, funny, kind, and made me feel relaxed (I was so nervous going to yet another place after my last experience with a stranger). That could be due to the area on my body she is working with and/or it could be because she is very good at what she does! I would go see her for about 30 minutes and miraculously she would treat my upper lip, cheeks and underarms. I saw her for months, firmly believing that it will all work, since I had electrolysis done before and had been very pleased with the results. Kristine kept me well entertained with her stories, and everytime I complained about "a hair comming back" she would say that its not the same her its a "cousin or a relative". I believed her... I had to go to Iraq for 7 months, where I obviously had no electrolysis. I saw my underarms unchanged after about 5 months of treatments...Still i decided to go back to Kristine. I saw her from October-January 2008--NO RESULTS!!!! Fortunately, she didn't return one of my phone calls and I found a new electrologist. All, please don't waste your time or money...she is a great nice person, but a bad electrologist.
