They also helped tow my totaled Nissan from an auto body shop free of charge. With that said, I left my passport in my Nissan. The manager happily retrieved my passport and had it ready for me upon arrival. When working with finance, the finance manager was extremely informative and willing to go the extra mile to ensure I got the best rate on my auto loan. I purchased a 2024 platinum grand highlander about 6 months ago )May 2024). They were supposed to order a a piece for one of the back seat as it was broken and needed to be replaced. They also had to order the cargo mats as well. I took it for my 3 month maintenance (August) and still was not order. I shared during that time that the sunroof black rubber seal would come off and was afraid off getting the inside wet. They supposedly couldn't fix it because they couldn't see anything wrong with it. Fast forward 6 months later and I haven't received any call from anyone. Now the door lock button in the passenger side not working and rubber seal comes out more often now then before and the sunroof control buttons that holds sunglasses is coming out. I was supposed to get a call to have the second key given to me but never received a call. I called today and someone was supposed to call me back and never did. Waited the entire day. I'm very disappointed with McGee Toyota and even more disappointed that no one bothers to call me back. If I don't receive a call back soon, I will reach out to the BBB, Toyota customer service and will consider legal actions. read more

Upsold a new Corolla to my 81 year old mother with extras she neither needed, wanted or understood. Told me she knew she was being conned but was pressured by the salesman and management to buy an extended warranty for 4000 dollars. I'll let you form your own opinion but tell me why an old woman who barely drives would need that. It's a brand new Toyota that already has a good warranty. I complained and then got a call from the sales manager who was snarky and rude. He asked if I was so concerned why wasn't I with her when she bought the car. I'm sorry, you guys saw an opportunity to take advantage of a vulnerable senior and just did. Just once I'd love to see a car dealer do the right thing but nope,. Sleazy. read more

Went to McGee for an oil change, because of their later service hours. Price was more money than Portsmouth Toyota and they put in 0w20 synth bulk instead of Toyota LOF OIL. They did a Multipoint inspection and they marked that my air filter and cabin filter needed immediate attention, even though I changed them myself with OEM parts a month before. They checked the tires and said I had a tire depth of 2/32. I admit that the tires need to be replaced but because of cracking in the tread and side walls, which they seemed to have missed. They stated that the brakes where down to 2 mm and needed replacement but you can see the brakes without removing the tires and they are not that low. It looks like I will have to make time to go somewhere else for service and new tires. read more

As others said, customers were all wearing masks but only one employee was. The sales manager threw a temper tantrum when trying to negotiate (their price was about $1,500 more than elsewhere). He was standing, speaking down to me while I was sitting, and had a raised voice and said things about "customers like you." He said I have a lot of fortitude and I think he meant it as an insult but maybe didn't know what the word means. He said he would give a slight discount but made it clear he wasn't doing it for me but for the sales rep and that he doesn't "mean to be an asshole." I understand being frustrated or having a bottom line but I don't understand getting angry, swearing at, or insulting a customer. Everyone else was pretty good but this ruined the experience. Next time I need a car I will look anywhere but here. read more

I would NOT recommend McGee Toyota! My Dad who is currently in hospice spoke to Ray about buying back his 2018 Toyota Tacoma with 13,000 miles. They agreed on a price and Ray said they would come that following week to pick it up and give him a check. That day came and went and we never heard from Ray or McGee Toyota. From purchase with Ben to operations and registration with Liridon; McGee was an absolute pleasure to work with. Ben was super knowledgeable about the 4Runners and showed me a few options before I ultimately decided I wanted a 2016 used TRD Pro. He explained all the features and differences between the models and catered it to what I was looking for. Liridon went above and beyond. I was in a bit of a pickle because I'm a NY resident but was moving back to Massachusetts with an unspecified timeline. Originally, when first introduced to Liridon, I was going to register the car in NY and then switch it over to MA when I moved. My plans were sped up and my move was push up about a month to 1/29. Liridon made sure to take care of the new bill of sale and make sure everything Toyota financial services was squared away. Additionally, he overnighted my title so I could register the car ASAP. Unfortunately, the title was stolen from my lobby and this is where Liridon really stepped up for me. With expired temp plates and a drop dead date of 1/29, he made sure to keep me updated in real time and explained everything in terms of options and what the best course of action would be. His knowledge and demeanor was very calming in a very stressful time. He was able to get me a replacement title just in the nick of time and got my car registered with the plates going to my leasing office so I can get out of NY right on time. His detail and willingness to help has absolutely made me want to come back to McGee whether it's for maintenance, repairs, or ordering accessories. read more

What a joke! I dropped in to see a truck that caught my eye and found that there was no price listed on it. Ok. Nothing new. A young guy was already on top of me asking if I was going to buy it. "Depends, to start, tell me about your truck...what's your price?" I responded. His reply..." "that's privileged info...will you come inside?" Hell No! Who taught you how to sell? If you can't even give me a reason to trust you, let alone respect you why would I bite on an adolescent sales pitch?! I'm not about playing used car sales games from the 80s. His next reply, " what do you think it's worth?" Are you kidding me!! Then he adds, " I have 6 interested people." Ok. Then why is it sitting on your lot? No matter how I tried to find out info on this truck I was treated like shit. At that point I lost it! "What's the f$&@ing price!!" The kids stepped back and couldn't understand how he made a ready and willing buyer walk away from even considering doing business. From what I can tell these guys are sharks. Watch out!! read more

Buyer beware. A recent experience at McGee Toyota has me writing a rare review. We went to purchase a car March of 2022. We know that prices are inflated and expected that to be the case. The car was priced 27K. We came pre approved. The Kelly blue book put our used car at over 9,300, we used the link on the Toyota website for that quote. We never expected to get 9K. When it came time to talk numbers, our salesperson, valued their car 3K above MSRP (total of 30K) and our used car 3K under its value. (They offered us 6K for the car we owe 7,500, that is valued at 9,300)Toyota McGee said we could meet them in the middle to make a deal. Even the middle was over priced and taking advantage give the overvalue v. undervalue hypocrisy. We walked away, saying another Toyota dealership had a much smaller market adjustment than 3K and we did not agree with their undervalued assessment of our used car. Their response was that Kelly Blue Book doesn't write checks and that they needed to make money off the deal and that everything is over valued. And yes, everything is overvalued but you can't both over value your car and at the same time undervalue ours. That's a double dip. We walked away and started to work with another Toyota dealership for the same car. In fact every Toyota dealership we have inquired with has been directly upfront at time of first inquiry about their market adjustment amount. Some have been high, none have been 3K. We got a call from the McGhee salesperson a couple of days later, saying they had "great news". What was the news: a buddy at their McGee Toyota dealership connected with the other Toyota dealership we looked at and they were asking for the same 3K amount over MSRP and their (McGee) car was still available for us to take their deal. One, it is shady that you called the other Toyota dealership. Two, that has not been our MSRP experience with the market adjustment at the other dealership, so the conflicting information makes me suspicious of your tactics. Three, your deal is taking advantage of people because you undercut the value of our trade in, while over valuing yours and that is the part that does not sit well. And finally that the car sales person ended the call by telling us, "we are just trying to put food on our tables and for our employees to take care of their families..." Thats not cool. Practically everyone in America is in that boat. I'm not a fan of guilt trip sales tactics. You told us that typically the dealership sells over 200 cars a month and this month they only sold 24. I would take a hard look at why that is. I won't be returning to McGee Toyota. However, I will remain loyal to the Toyota brand. You are not the only dealership and the market will adjust it's self it always does but I can't be a customer of yours, nor can I speak well of your establishment . I realized that my review was posted to the old name of Hurlbert and I wanted to make sure it was posted here. I see another customer had the same problem that I did when I took my car in for state inspection. NOBODY WAS WEARING A MASK and nobody was social distancing which is pretty horrifying considering that you can be pre-symptomatic and still be a spreader. Has everyone there been tested? When I asked why nobody was wearing masks I actually got some eye rolls and snickers from the customer service rep and the cashier and was told that it was not required by the state? WHO CARES? You should care enough about your customers to wear masks. It is for the OTHER person. I was wearing one to protect your people. I bought my last Prius here (when it was Hurlburt) and usually have my car serviced here, but will not be back after that experience. You obviously have not respect for your customers. read more

I recently bought a 2020 Tacoma (almost $40K) from this dealership. The salesman and finance manger were great! Leaving the dealership I noticed some imperfections/scratches before taking ownership of the truck. I was assured they would "take care of me" and fixed the issues. When I got home I found more issues, trim not properly installed and gouges in the number. I notified them and was again told "we will take care of it". I was concerned about how they would "take care of it". I've dealt w cheap body shops and know the quality of work they put out. I expressed this and was again told "if you're not happy we will fix it". After getting my truck back not only had they put 30 miles on it (I only had it a week) but the work was sub-par. Overspray, thin paint and THEY SCRATCHED my brand new truck. When addressing it w the sales manager his snarky comment was "well it's only a $33K truck". Odd, it was almost 40K a week ago when o bought it. I mentioned the scratches and he again snarky saying "I'll give you some touch up paint". Absolutely acceptable and wouldn't do business w this dealership. read more
