My mom and I went in to look at cars at McGrath earlier this year! I just forgot to Yelp about it! I purchased a truck from here years ago, service was so amazing then we came back. Mike LaGigilo is the sales agent who helped my mom. He was patient, resourceful, thorough, and very helpful! He went above and beyond to help my mom pick out a great truck that suits her needs!!! Excellent Service!! Way to go Mike!!!

First a HUGE shout out to Phill the manager Mike L in Sales and Noah in finance . They turned my expertise with this dealership into a great one . After all of them working together they got me the deal of a lifetime . Happy to take home my Tesla Model Y Performance! They constantly checked on me, gave me refreshments and when I threw them a curveball they hit the home run. I put them through it and they didn't give up and they did it with a smile. I will be back on my next transaction 100% I can not say it enough THANK YOU ALL!

McGrath took the time to listen and make a repair to replace a tire that failed after only being driven for 6 weeks.

We went in planning to buy just one Toyota, but ended up with a RAV and a Highlander, believe it or not. Greg and George and the rest of the crew made the process easy. While I'm glad that were able to get a service appointment for early on the next day, the appointment took a total of 4.5 hrs. We had initially been told that the diagnostic would only take about 1-1.5 hrs, and it wasn't until about two hours later that we were informed that these diagnostics could take a long time because of having to charge the battery, and we could have a lift to anywhere within a 5 mile radius. Since we had a squirmy toddler with us, having this information much sooner would have been helpful. Ultimately, we were told that they could find nothing wrong with the vehicle and that the error could have occurred if we were running on low gas for too long (which we did not believe was the case). They told us that they had cleared the codes and that we should be fine. When I reminded them that we had a long out- of-town drive with our toddler, they gave us the same assurance. We left Chicago, and the vehicle stalled again after being on the road for around 7 hours. It first showed an error code within 1.5 hours of driving, but since the code disappeared after restarting the vehicle, we thought that we would be fine. It again appeared as we were continuing to drive, and the vehicle finally stalled as we were driving on 55 south. We had to get a tow, and the vehicle is currently being serviced at Ackerman Toyota in St. Louis. We would like to be contacted, and moreover, we would like either a refund or a credit to our vehicle's work at Ackerman since our vehicle was not actually serviced. Most importantly, our toddler was put at risk. We gave them the opportunity to make this right before we posted a public Google and Yelp review. They chose to not even contact us.

After this ordeal my car remains in the same state as when I brought it in. Long Version: My 2017 Civic air conditioner has been underpowered lately, and I researched and found that there's a known factory defect, and Honda has a 10-year-warranty covering condenser leaks due to this defect. Luis told me that there would be a $550 diagnostic fee, but if the warranty covered the issue, then I would pay nothing. This was a big gamble, but at the end a day of worrying, they sent me a video saying yes, it would be covered under warranty. On the second day they said I could pick my car up at closing time. I arrived looking forward to having a working AC again and was told that actually the part was on back-order, and they had fixed nothing in 2 days. This was fine though disappointing. It could have been better-communicated. Luis also told me that they topped it up with coolant and diagnostic dye. I thought this was strange. Didn't we have a diagnosis already? Finally he said "Yes it'll just be the $550 and you can go". This was upsetting since I had already been told I wouldn't have to pay. I pushed back, and he insisted for several minutes, saying that I had signed an agreement to pay this, and that he would show me what I signed. Why add coolant to a leaky system? Why add diagnostic dye if we know the cause? Eventually he went to talk to the tech, and it turned out that neither of these services were even performed. Only because they were never performed was I allowed to leave. It seemed irrelevant that it completely went against what he had told me earlier. Imagine if I had paid instead of pushing back, I'd have spent $550 on nothing. How often do they do something similar to customers? He also said they will not call me when the part comes in but that I should call them every 2 weeks. I have no way to know if they even ordered the part, but I have a guess based on what I now know about how they do business. I don't expect to have my AC fixed here. After a lot of time and emotional energy spent, I have absolutely nothing to show for it. Don't come here for anything. If you must got to a Honda dealership go to another one.

Right after they switched to the Murgado brand, I brought my Ford Escape in for an oil change back in January of this year. I noticed immediately after the oil change that the plastic tray that covers the bottom of the engine would fall off and drag on the road. I bought some additional screws and that held me over until the cover continued to lose the screws and detach and today I asked them to fix it when I came in for my scheduled oil change. Parallel to this, I asked them to check a seatbelt in the rear that wouldn't retract. They said it'd be $280 for the diagnosis and the majority of the time, they can fix it. Okay. They have my car all day and tell me I have 45 minutes to come pick it up because they close at 6 unless I want to wait until tomorrow. They said it'd be $1200 to replace the seatbelt (they couldn't fix it) and $600 to replace the bottom cover. I denied both. I talked to my service advisor, David and explained that they caused the issue with the bottom cover and he lied to me and said they didn't need to remove the cover for an oil change. He also said they couldn't cut the part hanging off because it was covering a key part of the engine protecting it which also ended up being false. They also charged me $30 to put new screws in without fixing the problem. When I arrived and complained to the manager, they did nothing to fix the issue (saying the car was "old") and still charged me $440 for the oil change, 3 screws and seatbelt diagnosis Oh, and did I mention when I looked at the bottom and did a small minor tug, one of the screws came right out. I also disassembled the back seatbelt myself, and I fixed it within 2 minutes of messing with it. I'll never be back. UPDATE: I took the cover off the broken seatbelt and messed with it for 5 minutes and was able to fix it. I asked the service manager for a refund for the $280 and they said they'd send me a check. 20 days later, I never got the check, so enjoy the chargeback on my credit card. STAY AWAY!
