    fuckin bomb shelter
    Soose M.

i just picked up a tesla with my family at this tesla dealership, and that shit was WACK. i'm not gonna overshare with several stories and examples, but the service is extremely dismissive like they could not give less of a fuck about you... they see you standing around with questions and will make eye contact with you and then just walk right past you. the car had several problems and when raised to the employees who seem to not give a single fuck, they barely make eye contact with you, etc. oh and if you're waiting for one of the employees to come back to you while you're sitting in your car, don't keep waiting, but also don't call the dealership because they won't answer . instead walk out of your car and go into the dealership and stand around for a while. trust me, we did it like 5 times. if you wanna sit down, bring your own fuckin lawn chair or sum because fuck there's literally like a garage with some paint samples on the wall. and if you're looking for something pretty to look at, please go some where else. looks like elon said "wait y'all what if we turned a bomb shelter/drug warehouse/kidnapping hq into a car dealership?" because there's nowhere to sit, and the actual bricks of the building look like a motherfucker might huff and puff and blow the whole thing down. also, they'll talk about how you can get in and out in "15 minutes" but we been here a looooooong ass time fixing all these problems.

Ever pictured what it would be like to put your spaceship into overdrive and watch the stars turn into beams of light around you? Test drive the Tesla Roadster. Ditto Teresa S' review below - this is the future. I test drove the Roadster and she's not lying when she says it goes 0-60 in 3.7. My head hit the back of the seat the first time I floored it. This CAN'T be an electric car but....IT IS! What's awesome about Tesla is these guys talk about themselves as a tech company...not a car company. And its true to their roots: they were a concept born in Silicon Valley to produce the world's most kick-ass electric car. Mission accomplished. In the history of the company, they've sold 1,700 Roadsters. In 2012, they'll be releasing the Sedan (must've been delayed since Teresa's post), for which they already have 4,500 wait-listers. This likely coincides with having gone public recently and the need to produce cars that can be sold to a larger demographic...but rest assured these Sedans look HOT. Get an appointment with one of their excellent employees and take a look into the future (AND have your mind blown.)

The future is here...Tesla electric-powered motors are truly astounding vehicles. The showroom location itself is on Grand Ave...a great hip area and the Roadster is on display for all of Chicago to experience. I had the opportunity to get a test drive in the Roadster S and it seriously accelerates 0-60 in 3.7 sec...feels like a roller coaster! It's a gorgeous sporty design that will definitely get noticed on the streets of Chicago. 2011 is when Tesla releases the Model S sedan that seats 7, starting at $50K base price. I think I'm going to get on the waiting list! The Chicago sales team, specifically Seneca Giese, is so knowledgeable and attentive....he knows the car/the technology and is just wonderful to interact with. He makes it a comfortable experience...with no 'used-car salesman' vibe...quite the opposite because in the end, the car sells itself. Definitely worth a visit...a test drive!

After the first oil change, I kept smelling something burning. I brought it back because I knew something was not right, even though I was initially told it was fine. It turned out that the oil cap had not been put back on. They told me they had to clean the entire engine and said they made it look "showcase." That was obviously a serious mistake. Even after that, I continued going back for oil changes because they were supposed to be included with the lease. Recently, my husband received multiple text messages and phone calls saying there was an "important safety recall" that needed immediate attention. We scheduled the drop-off for this morning and planned to have the recall handled along with regular service. When my husband arrived, he was told there was no recall and that the employee had "triple checked." Then he was told the service would cost around $1,600 for the checkup, oil change, tire rotation, and other items. He was also told the free oil changes were only for 2 years, which is not what we were told when we leased the vehicle. That also does not make sense because I had the oil changed there in late fall or early winter. My husband ended up leaving with the car and was late to work because of this. When I called to follow up, I was told the last and only oil change on record was in May 2024. That is not accurate, and it is very concerning that their records do not match the service we received. Between the oil cap being left off after service, the confusing recall messages, the sudden $1,600 charge, the conflicting information about the lease oil changes, and the inaccurate service records, I no longer feel confident in how this dealership is handling our vehicle. This is also not the first major issue we have had with Downtown Honda Chicago. During the initial lease, we were overcharged, and they later wrote us a check for $2,000 in exchange for my husband not writing a terrible review. They even delivered the check to his workplace, which he did not know was going to happen. All of this has made the entire experience feel extremely unprofessional and concerning. These issues need to be escalated, and I will also be contacting Honda corporate.

Right after they switched to the Murgado brand, I brought my Ford Escape in for an oil change back in January of this year. I noticed immediately after the oil change that the plastic tray that covers the bottom of the engine would fall off and drag on the road. I bought some additional screws and that held me over until the cover continued to lose the screws and detach and today I asked them to fix it when I came in for my scheduled oil change. Parallel to this, I asked them to check a seatbelt in the rear that wouldn't retract. They said it'd be $280 for the diagnosis and the majority of the time, they can fix it. Okay. They have my car all day and tell me I have 45 minutes to come pick it up because they close at 6 unless I want to wait until tomorrow. They said it'd be $1200 to replace the seatbelt (they couldn't fix it) and $600 to replace the bottom cover. I denied both. I talked to my service advisor, David and explained that they caused the issue with the bottom cover and he lied to me and said they didn't need to remove the cover for an oil change. He also said they couldn't cut the part hanging off because it was covering a key part of the engine protecting it which also ended up being false. They also charged me $30 to put new screws in without fixing the problem. When I arrived and complained to the manager, they did nothing to fix the issue (saying the car was "old") and still charged me $440 for the oil change, 3 screws and seatbelt diagnosis Oh, and did I mention when I looked at the bottom and did a small minor tug, one of the screws came right out. I also disassembled the back seatbelt myself, and I fixed it within 2 minutes of messing with it. I'll never be back. UPDATE: I took the cover off the broken seatbelt and messed with it for 5 minutes and was able to fix it. I asked the service manager for a refund for the $280 and they said they'd send me a check. 20 days later, I never got the check, so enjoy the chargeback on my credit card. STAY AWAY!

When we first walked into the dealership Matt immediately offered to assist us in our early stage search. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and made our ineraction truly enjoyable. It was a very chilly day in Chicago and he walked us around the vehicle to show us the features and offered the test drive experience. We never felt pressured to make a decision, but more so informed by a true luxary vehicle consultant. I will admit, the Velar is a pretty easy sell, but Matt made the process even more enjoyable. Once we got to finance, we worked with Mark and he was equally as impressive with his approach in explaining the process, walking through additional packages (not pushy) and addressing any questions or concerns we had. This was an outstanding experience and I'd recommend this team to anyone!

You guessed it, I proceeded anyways with the vision that finding a combo like this isn't an everyday opportunity - This is when I first connected with Parin Shah, to explore the car and its background. Parin and the CMC folks were nothing short of incredibly honest, forthcoming and fair in describing the car. Parin himself spoke with me multiple times, getting me everything I needed and gave me full access to the car for PPI at another dealer. They were punctual, follow-through A+ and delivered on every single promise they made. I was direct with Parin the first time we talked, I asked him about the negative thoughts out in the market. Starting off, one needs to know that it is a small lot in central Chicago and there was no parking around whatsoever, I had to walk to the area, and when I did get there, I had some difficulty finding the front desk. There is a warehouse on the left where a few men were working on the cars. I decided that they were too deep in their work to be bothered by me, and I walked around the cramped place. A man drove up in a Ford Taurus, parked it, and upon seeing me, greeted me quite nicely and asked what car I was looking for. He answered my questions respectfully, and I might add, truthfully, as he didn't seem to think long. He offfered to show me around, and I said I could manage on my own. While I was looking around, He walked up to me a couple of times and asked if I was having trouble. I said no. At the end, he said he appreciated me coming, shook my hand, and gave me some business cards. Now, onto the car quality. Some I saw were completely torn down inside, with wires everywhere and half with missing center consoles. However, all of the cars, except about 1 or 2 on the lot, had a musty smell, combined with an overpowering sweet scent, like someone hadn't showered and only wore cologne for a year had lived in the car. I never found the reason why that was. Other cars had police decals on them that were being scraped off, and there was a building in the back, seemingly unused, as the door was rusty, locked, dented, and the windows were boarded up. Good place. Could be better.
