After many phone calls and excuses, it is now 6 months later and he tells me he can't complete the work. I picked up my chairs today and only one had been re-glued. The other had not and the caning had been ripped off and a sloppy attempt had been made at starting the project. The chair is absolutely unusable and now I have to take it somewhere else to be fixed. I am hugely frustrated with how I've been treated and strongly urge people to go ANYWHERE else.

I called ABT and spoke with Lou (his direct # 847-954-4140). I did some research before I called and liked the Samsung 55." 4K NEO QLED, originally $1,297.99, on sale for $897.99. Lou stated, "They had a sale starting tomorrow (Saturday) and that he could sell it to me for $651.00." Great! Lou said he could have it delivered next Tuesday. I explained my mother's situation and asked if it could be delivered tomorrow, on Saturday. Lou said, "I'll make it happen." Now that is exceptional customer service! Josh Hoffman was the technician who delivered and set up my mother's new Samsung TV. Josh programmed the Xfinity remote to the new TV, and my mother accidentally hit something that made the TV verbally announce everything she did. Josh asked if she wanted that, and my mother said no. Josh was quick-witted and a comedian; he had my mother laughing. You certainly can tell when an employee loves their job! I would like to update my review. I did have the sofa redone at your shop. We discussed ad nauseam…read morethat it would be a comfortable soft sofa and that the velvet would not attract as much dust and lint as it does. You said it was specifically a better product. I had another chair recovered in velvet at Calico Corners in Wilmette and it does not attract dust and lint at all so it is not necessarily a function of all velvets. You were not nearly as helpful as you sound here on yelp when I had these complaints after the sofa was done. You' were completely unresponsive and refused to assist any further. At minimum, the sofa should've been comfortable and you definitely did mislead me on your product.
