Patti and her staff are beyond amazing! We took our 4 dogs to her and she gave them a beautiful makeover! They are normally very shy with new people but they took to her and her staff very well and you could tell when we picked them up they were happy and well treated! I highly recommend them! My babies are all rescues and she gave them the love and attention they needed and deserved! We will be coming back! Thank you Patti and staff!

I put my dog into boarding August 17-21, 2023 with Shaggy Shack; Thursday afternoon to Monday morning. My dog has a muscle dystrophy disorder that effects anywhere in her body that has collagen. At less than 2 years old, she has severe arthritis in her elbows. I let Shaggy Shack know of her disorder prior to leaving her with them. I even wrote a note and taped it to her food container. I spoke with 2 workers, 1 manager, and then finally the owner. None of the stories matched with the others. When I spoke with Tonya, the owner, I explained how I received my dog and that her inflammation could only be that severe if she was not given her medication. Tonya said "the girls could have missed some medications, we're not perfect." I asked for a refund, to which she said "we won't be administering a refund because that would be admitting we did something wrong." My dog was returned to me with dried blood and sticky from pee, how is that right? I have no answers I'm satisfied with, only multiple stories of what may or may not have happened to my disabled dog. At this point, I paid to have her be grossly neglected. Tonya provided a med sheet 4 days later to try to claim they gave my dog her medication, even though my hydrotherapist (who I had look over my dog for other injuries) agreed her condition could've only been that bad if she had not received her medication. Tonya shifted the blame to me, saying "You chose to bring her to a highly stimulated setting instead of staying home with your handicapped pup." I trusted Shaggy Shack to care for my dog as if she were your own, as the website claims the business would do. I will not make that error again and suggest others not to as well. Do better.

I would highly recommend though. I like our home spot, but his one has something very special about it. Bernard loves playing with dogs, but when its raining at our normal spot he ends up sitting inside with some outside time and not a lot of dog socialization... or at least that is my guess. When he comes home on rainy days he is not all that tired. In fact he seems like he just hung around all day instead of playing. The first time we took him to Shaggy Shack it was raining and I thought he was going to come home not tired at all. Oh man was I wrong. He was knocked out and it was in a way that leads me to believe not only does he get to play with dogs, but he has moments of thinky time or play time with humans. I cant say for sure, but I love how he comes back those days. Clearly wore out from a day of fun. I really like this place but unfortunately its a bit of a drive to do daycare daily especially when we have an on base option right next to my wife's work. I will say though they are definitely going to be our go to for boarding. The one major downside to our normal spot is there are no options for drop off pick up on Sundays. A lot of our trip or time where we need to board is Just saturday evening. This gives us the opportunity to board and pick up when we return and not have to board an extra night. In addition we had a last minute boarding need when I was too lazy to get boarding scheduled at our normal spot and it worked out perfectly. I highly recommend this place. Its not on base so anyone can use. The place is huge. Staff knowledgable and friendly and overall I have nothing but positives about here. I wish their location was closer, but thats not a negative, just a desire to make my life easier.

Rachel and staff are ALL dedicated to on point care for the dogs she/they service. Care can range from daily walks, miles long hikes, taking Freddie for a long visit when my MIL needs a break from his care, as well as taking him into her home (board) when she goes away for trips. Rachel goes the extra mile for my MIL, in that she comes every morning to walk Freddie, her staff comes by in the evening to walk him again. She also does extra services that my MIL needs, going above and beyond. When my MIL started getting sick, Rachel was a neighbor that she didn't know, who stepped up to help me with the challenges we faced in making sure she was okay and Freddie was being taken care of as well, dedicating her time without pay even. Rachel brings her food in the morning when she picks Freddie up, so that she knows MIL is eating, make sure she is taking her meds, as well as even just being someone to talk and converse with, as my MIL is homebound at this point. My MIL is at the point where she needs round the clock care (CNA) but she still demands that Rachel is the one to take care of Freddie, she doesn't trust anyone else to give him the love and care that she does. Rachel is a true dog lover, but her business isn't just about the dog care, but the care and dedication she shows to clients/families that she interacts with. I have had to call Rachel during emergencies with my MIL specifically and she will always show up, when needed. She isn't just an amazing dog lover/business owner, etc but truly a ROCK STAR and I appreciate everything she has done for us!

On several occasions, I have personally witnessed handlers yelling aggressively at dogs, jerking them harshly by the leash, and even striking animals during walks. As someone who cares deeply about animal welfare, I found the behavior extremely upsetting and inappropriate for anyone trusted with the care of pets. I would strongly encourage pet owners to use caution and thoroughly research caregivers before entrusting their animals to this company. Animals deserve patience, kindness, and humane treatment -- not intimidation or physical aggression.

We had to leave our 2 anxious cats with a boarder for a week while we were out of state for our wedding and I could not have asked for a better sitter. The cat rooms are spacious (unlike many boarding facilities who only have a space as small as a dog crate, with no room to run, jump, or climb), they are clean, and have access to individual catios so they can watch the wildlife and farm life outside. One of our cats also needed daily medicine administered and Kate, with her history of cat rescue and years of experience with cats, was more than able to do that for us. She gave us daily updates with pictures and it really took all the stress off our shoulders to have our precious fur babies taken care of so well. Kate truly understand cat behavior and her practices establish a trusting relationship with the cats as well as making sure the scary time away from their owners is as easy as possible for them. Not to mention, her rates are incredibly reasonable. Like, truly, I would have paid double that to get the kind of care that they received. I cannot state enough how much it meant to have someone care for them the way she does. I thought I would have to reintroduce them when we got back to the house, because one of our cats is very anxious and hates change. But their return has been so seamless, I'm only left feeling more grateful. Our cat clearly did not like being boarded because he hates to be away from us. However, Kate made him feel safe enough to avoid it becoming a traumatic experience, because he has not made one aggressive move upon our return home and instead is just asking for some extra love and attention. I can't say thank you enough, Kate

Coming from the competitive dog sport world, and holding a degree in Cynology (the study of canines or domestic dogs), it seems Bart has been a passionate and lifelong student of the dog. Just google and see for yourself. Rather than "quick fixes", he dives deep to understand first and foremost, your dog. For example, understanding HOW your dog operates is fundamental to building a healthy relationship to him/her so that your dog does things WITH you (and not FOR you). This is the critical foundation which Bart builds upon in shaping the behavior of all the dogs he works with. It just makes sense. Since we brought our German Shepherd pup to him last year, we have watched his remarkable transformation around obedience to now protection work. And it hasn't just been him! I have learned so much through Bart's online resources, lectures, and important discussions. This has been so much fun. In summary, we have discovered in Bart, a rare combination of practical expertise, scientific understanding, and authentic compassion and advocacy for dogs. We cannot recommend him more!

Once a week got him on phone & told he would email or call...none of either. Phone won't accept voicemail, no response to text. There are 4 of us who compete in events listed on his website with two of us who have tried to nail him down for training, with being left feeling he has no interest. One has been trying for months. Having to go with somebody else to train with after well over reasonable amount of waiting with no attempt from Bart to return contact. Blows my mind how a trainer can just ignore multiple long term clients who are looking for somebody to train with closer to home. Will look at him again if he surfaces. But we have dogs in need and competitions upcoming and can"r afford to sit and wait to see if he surfaces. One of the group has already been with Scott Haywood w Centrailia Pet Resort, I'm going to sign up tomorrow as he has followed through with getting back, setting prices, and setting concrete schedules.

It's amazing and you can tell she is putting the time and care into it to create an experience and environment that completely benefits the dogs. She worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! She even let me bother her constantly wondering how my dogs were doing. I have kennel mates, born together/stay together. They have kennel mate syndrome with a touch of separation anxiety thrown in there. And she totally took my dogs (who are huge by the way) from hard to walk dogs that gave me massive anxiety to take out (it was our first time with puppies we had no idea what we were doing ) and gave me back easily manageable dogs. Simple things like taking them to the vet is night and day from before. She also takes dogs of all ages! You'd be surprised how many people have a negative attitude towards training "older dogs". Ours aren't old but it was worth mentioning. If we weren't moving away I would have paid for more training sessions. I could not recommend her enough to anyone I talk to about training.
