The following is the review that I left as the ICE complaint. If something similar happens to your baby while at this facility; please rate them on the military site too, so that way they are held accountable for their lack of inaction. Prior to boarding, he was in good overall health, fully up to date on all vaccinations, and exhibited no signs of illness. I also have video footage from the week prior to boarding showing him acting normally and healthy. He had vet records from the 8th of April also stating he was in overall good health. Unfortunately, the condition in which my dog was returned to me was deeply concerning and entirely unacceptable. Upon pickup, he appeared malnourished, dehydrated, and in respiratory distress. He was suffering from excessive sneezing and wheezing, runny eyes, a runny nose, with a hard time breathing, and a significant buildup of discharge that had begun to coagulate. This was clearly not the same healthy animal I entrusted to your care. I immediately took him to my veterinarian following pickup. The veterinary examination and records confirmed that he was both malnourished and dehydrated, in addition to suffering from respiratory symptoms. I have since incurred veterinary expenses exceeding the amount I paid for boarding services. During his stay, I contacted the facility to ask whether staff had noticed anything unusual regarding his health or behavior. I was assured that he was "perfectly fine" aside from minor sneezing. Based on the condition he was in at pickup, it is difficult to understand how these obvious changes went unnoticed or unaddressed by your staff. Even your manager acknowledged that I should never have had to take him to the veterinarian the same day he was released from your facility. In addition to the financial burden, I was forced to spend days and nights personally nursing my dog back to health after bringing him home. The situation was extremely stressful and emotionally exhausting, and I lost a significant amount of sleep caring for him and monitoring his condition to ensure he recovered safely. What is equally disappointing is the complete lack of accountability shown afterward. Despite the seriousness of the situation, neither the manager nor any member of the staff offered so much as an apology for my dog's condition or the distress and financial burden this caused. To date, no meaningful effort has been made to remedy the situation. I requested a refund due to the negligence, lack of attentiveness, and inadequate care provided during my dog's stay. I am extremely grateful I picked him up when I did, as the outcome could have been far worse had his condition continued to deteriorate unnoticed. I also have photographs, videos, and veterinary documentation supporting his condition immediately after pickup. Your own service agreement states that the facility "shall exercise reasonable care for the pet delivered by the owner to their facility for services." Based on the condition in which my dog was returned to me, I believe that obligation was clearly breached. read more

They are very understanding and genuinely care for your pet. I appreciate that Bennie can socialize with other dogs while being outdoors with obstacle courses. Each area has a carport sheltering the dogs from harsh weather conditions. Bennie's tail starts wagging right when he realizes where we are! The environment is clean, given that it is a full-time pet facility. Their website makes it super easy to create an account and schedule daycare/boarding---just be sure to call to confirm their operating hours. Also, they have an Insta! Even though my pup had an accident at Pet Brigade, I really appreciate the fact they covered all the vet fees and didn't charge for the service of my pet. I know accidents happen when it comes to grooming and I really appreciate the way they handled the whole situation. My pup is doing well and I will still bring my other dog here for grooming services. Prices are still better here than my local Petsmart and communicating with us about our pets is much appreciated. They don't upcharge you when you bring your pet in that needs extra time grooming and that is great. read more

BOTH of my dogs caught kennel cough there. Picked them up and immediately realized they were not doing well. 8hours later at the vets office the dr told me they had a bad case of kennel cough. When I called the pet brigade about it they were not apologetic in the least. We have been taking our dog here since he was a puppy. Its convenient because its near my wife's work so she can drop him off every once in a while. We typically try to take him once a week so he can get some social time and get some good exercise in. Overall we have been extremely satisfied. When he comes home after a day of play he is exhausted and well worn out, but seems so happy to go there every time. He was a small little dog for about two months and is now a horse and only plays with the big boys. We had small hiccup early on with communication and paperwork but since then we have had no issues. I have finally come around to writing a review for this place. Sometimes you get caught up in your daily routine and you forget to help the people that are really there for you and your family. My husband and I have two dogs, Izzy and Gibson. We put them in daycare every day or else they will be at home for ten hours a day, which is not fair to them. The employees who work here and like family too. We may not interact with them as much but they take care of our dogs everyday. Five days a week! Sometimes from 5:00 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. and this makes us at ease because our dogs are getting the interaction they need and the lovings they want. When people write a bad review about this place, I'm not sure why. It's all about communication with Pet Brigade which is what we have found out. This place is a blessing! Their services are awesome especially with low prices compared to other places. They take pictures of our dogs, they have parties, they rinse them, they bathe and cut their nails. I've been meaning to write this for a while. I yelped this kennel and read a mix of good and bad reviews, but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. After all, some people get on here to rant just to rant. Not me. I have more important things to do, but when it comes to my dog and other peoples' pets, I'll make time. I usually don't use this kennel, but we had a last minute thing and our usual kennel was booked, and I could make reservations for my dog online, which was nice. They make it sound like a doggies' heaven, with "free roam" and "grass play areas"...nope. I walked through. AFTER my dogs stay. "Why did you go after, you idiot?" Well, I went to pick my baby up and she a has a VERY SIGNIFICANT PUNCTURE WOUND right in the middle of her back. I noticed it IMMEDIATELY. She literally had a bath and hour before I picked her up. How does a "professional groomer" not notice this?! Their response, "it looks like it was a cyst that popped". I insisted that I walk through the kennel and look for something that could've cause this. I walked through a cold cement kennel full of dogs in little concrete bottomed cells with nothing to lay on comfortably. I made my way outside where they "free play" and "socialize" to find 2 or three fairly small (considering how many dogs they were to accommodate) fenced in areas with mostly dirt. I found a couple spots on the fences where she could've been injured, but I'm not a 100%. I took her to the vet immediately after and told her the "cyst" suggestion, she literally laughed at the audacity. She took care of my girl and I sent the invoice to the kennel. Morgan, the manager, was happy to help and was probably the only person there that genuinely cared and was sorry for the incident. She said that when the owner got home from vacation, he would send me a check for the reimbursement, and he did. Just the check. No apology, no "I hope she's ok", nothing. These people (aside from Morgan) don't care about the animals. Please, don't take the chance and prove me right. Your baby's well-being is not worth the risk. read more

Wow, all sorts of negative review on here. We just recently moved to the PNW and needed to have our cocker spaniel groomed. Found TPB on Yelp and decided to give them a shot. They knocked it out of the park! I dropped the dog off around 7am and he ready before 10am. I did need about 2-3 minutes to fill out some paperwork as it was our first time, but everything else was smooth. I do wish they'd told my wife that shot records would be needed, but that's not a enough for me to remove a star. My wife commented that this is the absolutely best grooming that had been performed on our dog in the five years we've had him. Prices were reasonable, pickup times were good, and turnaround time was good. We've only used this place once, so take that for what its worth. We'll keep using them and will update this review if anything changes. As for some of these other reviews, Yelp is a venue to praise or vent about your own personal consumer experiences. Posting a review based upon a news article or about your work experiences there is not appropriate, although it is funny that your only two reviews have been 1 star based on previous employers. read more

We've taken our dogs here twice when we were going out of town and both times we found them to be excellent! I was a little put off at first that they charge extra to feed your dog food from home, but then I found out that they feed them Canide, which is fairly similar to the food we feed our dogs already and it wouldn't upset my one dog's delicate system. We have them get baths on the way out every time and they come back looking and smelling great!. You know the staff really does interact with your animal because at checkout, they'll talk to you about it. They knew each of our dogs' favorite games and quirky behaviors. =) I wish there were more boarding facilities like this one! read more

I could not disagree more with the review that said the owner, Regis, is a rude and angry man. I dealt with him over the phone and in person and he was nothing but professional, polite, and had a great attitude. When we PCSed from Hawaii at the beginning of the month we had to fly our dog over a couple days before we arrived due to the 4th of July holiday. The reservation process a couple months beforehand was easy and straightforward. Communication from TPB employees was always quick and professional. The airline messed up big time upon our dog's arrival to SEA and told Regis, who was there to pick him up, that there was no dog on the plane. Regis was back and forth in communication with me through the whole ordeal, dealt with the airline reps in SEA, and was there at the airport for about an hour until Hawaiian Airlines finally "found" my dog. I am thankful for his calm and professional demeanor and that he didn't just show up, told there was no dog, and turned back around, which he could have easily done. Our dog was clean, happy, and in good health when we picked him up at TPB after we arrived. Regis had even taken the liberty to wash the t-shirt that was lining his travel kennel (we put it in there over the layers of recommended pee pads so our dog could have a familiar scent on his flight)...it's little things like that that make a difference, I think. I'd love to know what "numerous" accidents and deaths Dee S. mentioned, as I could not find anything but the one incident of the mini pinscher escaping and hit by a car. She failed to mention that TPB apologized and paid for the entire vet bill for the incident and that it had been the only incident in the 10 years of business. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because our dog did have a pretty serious looking scratch down his backside, it was 3 lines as if another dog had really dug into him with their claws. They were raised up and scabbed over when we brought him home and they have healed up just fine, but I wish they would have pointed it out to us when we picked him up..I'm assuming someone saw the incident? It looked serious enough that our dog would have yelped or that it would have drawn some blood. Great staff, reasonable prices, we will use them again! read more

This is by far one of the best facilities to take your animal. I have yet paid for a bill, due to the fact we have won some of their contest they put on. Those are just the added benefit to the establishment. We take our dog in to get cleaned up every so often and every time I am impressed on how well he was groomed. For bigger dogs or hairy dogs they use the furm-n-ator, or whatever it is called. The ladies that work there are extremely nice. I can easily drop my dog off before work and pick him up right after. They don't charge for keeping him that day, as long as you pick him up before closing. The facility itself is clean. In all I will continue to take my dog to this establishment as long as I am working in the Washington area. read more

We were stationed at Fort Lewis and used them frequently to have all his grooming needs met. Boone is a full size lab with anxiety for anyone who tries to touch his feet. They always managed to get his nails trimmed! Smells great at pickup and they worked extra hard getting him as de-shedded as possible. We will miss The Pet Brigade! read more
