Served with a bag or kettle chips, a pickle, and coleslaw. They have a area with lots of homemade dessert. You order at the counter they give a number and bring to you. The sandwiches were good, but not quite what we were expecting. At around $35 for the Italian sandwich, the Ultimate Club sandwich, 2 bags of chips, 2 drinks, and a cupcake, it was also more expensive than we thought it would be. Each sandwich was fine, but also something we could have just made at home. It would have been nice to have the bread toasted or something other than sliced white/wheat to elevate the sandwich. The cupcake was very moist and I enjoyed the chocolate frosting, but I wouldn't call it "famously large" - while bigger than an average cupcake, it wasn't nearly as large as we made it out to be based on that description. read more

I met my father who is handicapped here for lunch to celebrate Veterans Day. I went in before him to secure a table because he would need to sit right away. The owner came over to me and said I need to order my food first before getting a table. I explained my father needs to sit while I order the food. The owner then threw his hands up and huffed in annoyance and walked away. I wanted to walk out after being treated this way but it takes such effort for my dad to walk into a restaurant. Nice little sandwich shop but hard to find as the only sign is a small white name on a mirrored window. I enjoyed the chicken salad salad. It came on a bed of spring lettuce with slices of cucumber and tomato and a small dressing. The chicken salad was well seasoned, and had Craisins and diced apples in it. It was a couple dollars more than on the menu that's here on Yelp, but it was a decent size salad. For a sandwich shop experience I would give this around four stars. I should probably do three stars just based on the number of signs they have posted around with rules on them like not sitting down until you order, not moving tables, not returning dishes to the counter, and several others. Even the number that you take to your table had instructions on where to place it on the table! It definitely detracts from the ambience, and if you are a rule follower this may make you a little nervous. I would not want to have an issue with my order because it didn't seem like a very customer friendly little place. read more

Food is good but rude owner! Wife and I rode a bike trail nearby and stopped in afterward for lunch about 11:15. My wife stepped away to the restroom so I sat at a table by the door to rest for a second and to wait on her before ordering. (Note: There were already seven people in line to order anyhow) Shortly after I sat down the taller of the two owners appeared from the kitchen and quickly and LOUDLY asked me if I had already ordered. Surprised, I replied no, that I was just cooling off from a ride and waiting on my wife first. He then "loudly" stated I am not to sit at a table unless I had ordered! I then stood and repeated what I previously said to him at the same volume he was throwing at me as if he thought he had the right to belittle customers that way for everyone in the establishment to hear. Then he turned and disappeared back into the kitchen and closed the door. I then stood there realizing after noticing their little 8x10 sign saying customers are not to sit or save tables unless they have ordered. So, he thought I was saving the table but I wasn't; but too late now. OK. Who does this? Right. No one but this bunch. Now that he had made his disgustingly rude public scene, and after my wife returned, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. I mean I'll always abide by a business's rules, no matter how stupid they are, or I'll just quietly go somewhere else, but this time someone crossed a line and accused me of something I didn't intentionally do, loudly and publicly! Epilogue: There are nice ways to talk to people. I'm the customer. No business owner will ever talk to me like I'm an idiot, loudly and get away with it. Thus the reason I gave it back to him. So, we won't ever be back and the only reason I'm posting this is to: 1. Inform others what to possibly expect if they unfortunately get out of line in this establishment. 2. Ensure them there are indeed consequences of not treating customers with respect at ALL times. Food has always been quite good there but there are better and cheaper places to dine. This shop opened recently, so I popped in to have a go. It turns out that the owners are the same folks that had Crave Sweet Shop on Highway 90. Nice people. The menu is the same and they still have delicious cupcakes. You can peruse my review of the previous location at the page for "Crave Sweet Shop Cafe." I'm going to excerpt a couple of paragraphs from that review below, because my comments from last year still apply. I mentioned my girlfriend's chicken salad sandwich, so the plurals below are referring to that. I had the Cuban sandwich (see the picture), which also came on a ciabatta roll, which was then toasted on a panini press. The bread was crisp and chewy, just like the bread on a Cuban sammitch should be. I could taste the mojo-marinated pork roast and the ham had the taste and appearance of home-baked and -sliced ham. Instead of regular yellow mustard, a spicy variety was slathered on both sides, which was quite tasty. Hearty dill pickle chips and Swiss cheese complimented the main ingredients. A bag of chips and a side of very good cole slaw came with both sandwiches. We were both satisfied with the quality, although I thought the Cuban, at $10, was about $3 too expensive for the portion. Back to the present day. Look, it was a very good sammitch. Above average in every way. But with a Diet Coke, my bill was $12.51. After the tip, I paid $15.01 for lunch and left hungry. This is Milton, Florida, not Miami or Atlanta or Los Angeles. As good as it was, I'm not going to spend $15 on lunch very often. I expect steak for that sum of cash...or boobs. Although I don't wish to survey nakedness while I'm eating. I wish them well, honestly. I just can't imagine much return traffic at those rates. So, my 5-star sandwich gets clobbered down to a 3-star rating, solely on price. If you don't mind spending vast sums on good food, you should visit. My girlfriend loved her chicken salad. I loved my Cuban. I just don't love spending $15 on a lunch that I have to supplement with other food from less expensive places. read more

There aren't that many places to eat around Milton but I heard that this place is decent. I went with the cuban sandwich which really didn't have any taste for some reason. I mean, it had the right ingredients on there, but I think the meat was just too dry. If they used fresher/juicier meats, I probably would've loved my sandwich. I liked their fresh-tasting coleslaw and the big partial pickle they include with the meal. I don't think I'd come back here but it's not a bad choice for lunch. It wasn't what I expected...not the typical sandwich shop. You order at the counter, get a number and take a seat. They make your sandwich in the back. The bread was awesome and they put plenty of meat on the sandwiches. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap had more chicken in it than any wrap I've ever had. It was all very good and high quality. Everything seems to come with a bag of chips, cole slaw and a pickle. The only negative was that if you want anything other than water or tea, it is sold by the can. We have been trying to go to McKinely's for weeks now! Every time we try to stop by they are closed it seems like.. But some times, tragic stories have a happy ending. We stopped by on Saturday at 10:40 and saw their sign said 11:00 they would be open! We parked out side and waited until opening. Every minute of waiting was worth it! The interior has been very nicely done; granite countertops at the desk, chalkboards, a beautiful array of cupcakes, paintings, etc. The man at the counter was very friendly and welcomed us to his shop! For food I ordered a Reuben (of course) and my wife ordered the chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich. Both come with coleslaw, a pickle, and bag of chips. The Reuben, I would argue to say, was one of the best I have ever had in my life. The marble rye was so fresh and flavorful. The sauerkraut was amazing, I'm not sure how they got it to taste so good? My wife's sandwich was amazing! It had a blend of perfectly cooked tomato, chicken, ranch, cheese in a panini. Our next visit is definitely going to include trying out the cupcakes they had on display. They looked absolutely perfect! Their flavors were: French vanilla, mandarin orange, double chocolate, pína colada (spelling?), red velvet, and probably another that I'm forgetting? Can't wait to try one! Chunkier chicken than the usual which might have overloaded a sandwich but She had it on greens with baby tomatoes. 1/2 came home with us. I had, despite my formal jewish deli upbringing a "pastrami reuben" . Now a reuban is corned beef, not pastrami. I was concerned. No worries, other than too drippy russian dressing, or maybe it was excess sauerkraut juice leaking into and diluting the dressing , my plate, shirt and hand, it was excellent. But folks, press that kraut before slapping it on and consider diy dressing with mayo, catsup, garlic, relish as a less liquid spread. 1/2 came home with us. The best sandwiches and coleslaw I've ever had came from this restaurant. I live 5 hours away now and as soon as I get a long weekend I will be driving back to Milton for a sandwich - that's how good they are. The owners are personable and I have never seen them treat a guest with anything but respect. Having gone here more than 50 times, I've seen a lot of different customers and all were treated perfectly. The owners are accommodating when people want to alter their orders and are willing to make changes. We had a group of 14 people meet here for lunch one day and they took care of it flawlessly, even though we asked them to split checks in 5 different ways. They're accepting, tolerant, and Milton could use more people like them. People seem to like to complain about the price, but Boar's Head meat/cheese isn't cheap.
