Oil change ok-needed a new filter and I was ok with that-then the EXTRA fees for brake fliluid flush and radiator service suggestions for an addition $220 OVER the $154 oil change seemed super over the top. The actual dealer recommends it at 60 months and my car is 2 years new. Went IMMEDIATELY down the street to first choice and they topped off the levels for FREE and then told me everything was fine. I would never patronize this business ! Why you ask ?!? The manager apparently allows his employees to test drive customers vehicles at a high rate of speed going through the small parking lot connecting this business and the Animal Hospital next door ! One of the employees there would have T-Boned my elderly mother pulling into the parking lot had I not been in my vehicle in front of her to blow my horn to no point end and partially block this employee from continuing to speed thru the parking lot like a speed demon ! Need less to say the manager was not of help after I took time out of my day to call and notify him of the issue; one things for sure if he doesn't hold his employees accountable he will definitely be dealing with a claim down the road wether it's a vehicular accident, hitting a fur-baby with a car or even a pedestrian for that matter ! Went for an inspection and they showed me where my coolant reservoir was completely empty and said it needed a radiator flush and that you can't mix old and new coolant. I just had an oil change 6 weeks ago and low coolant was not mentioned,therefore, I didn't have low coolant weeks ago. I have coolant at home and could have added fluid. Radiator flush was unnecessary and an extra $109 upsell that they ripped me off of. read more

While I was initially happy with my oil change, they screwed it ip and my car started leaking oil. I had to spend my Saturday waiting at the dealership for them to fix what was screwed up. They told me I was lucky I didn't destroy my engine. Whomever changed the oil didn't screw the filter on correctly. The issue didn't show up right away after the oil change either. Luckily for me, the fix was just another oil change. Look, I understand that this might be an uncommon experience, but it caused us a major inconvenience. While I appreciate how quickly my car got an oil change here, I wish they'd taken the extra two minutes to make sure they did it right. Instead I'm out another $100 for another oil change, most of my Saturday morning, and the cost of a box of cat litter to absorb the leaking oil in my garage. Could I have returned here to have them fix it? Probably. But I didn't know what the problem was and I'm not going to waste any more time on this issue. Not happy. read more

I've never had any issues with customer service at this location and I've been going here for years! I was so surprised to see the other review, and I was pretty sure I had already submitted one for this location, but I'm glad to have the chance to correct this. They are quick and conveniently located, they have a small waiting room to the side which they keep air conditioned, it has a satellite TV and complimentary coffee and sodas/water. All of the guys that work here have always treated me with respect and I particularly appreciate that they don't pressure you with "upsells", they may mention some options to you but they don't use scare tactics to get you to spend more money. For that reason, I'm always happy to get my oil changed here! read more

Went here for the first time and it was a great experience. Needed an oil change and inspection and didn't have an appointment but they got me in and taken care of in about thirty minutes. Recommended a couple of things to me but weren't pushy which I appreciated. Nice little waiting room with water/coffee/soda. They have coupons on their website which was nice! Something has changed at Mckinney Oil xchange. I have used this location for years and at least 10 oil changes. Usually, the guys there do a great job. They previously had a stable crew of friendly employees who did a great job. The dude with the MegaMan tattoo is great and professional. Unfortunately, the new kids working there don't take the same pride in their work. I like to observe the oil change from the hard plastic chairs so I can see if something is amiss. Today's experience reinforced my routine. One of the new kids assigned to the upper level working on my car looked and acted confused. My car is a newer model, with many panels over the components making the engine compartment very smooth and clean in appearance. So, to get to the air filter, a panel must be removed. He was able to remove the panel, inspect the air filter (I bought a new one) and attempted to replace the panel. He had lost/misplaced several of the grommets holding the panel in place. So, I saw him remove one from the front of the car and put it in the missing hole. I told MegaMan about the observation. Some of them looked for the missing piece. The primary kid continued to look confused. Eventually, they found 2 of the 3 missing grommets and had a replacement for the 3rd. I am an understanding guy. Mistakes happen and they are not always avoidable. However, saying "I'm sorry for the problem/inconvenience/mistake." Is a first step to customer service. None of that happened. None. I won't be back. "I'm sorry we made a mistake" could have minimized the problem, but that didn't happen. So, sit in the hard chairs, and keep an eye on the work being done if you do use this location. **Update** The owner (?) called me and offered to replace the scratched part. I declined because really very few people will ever see the inside of my engine compartment. It was a nice off however. He also stated the the employee doing the oil change was new and there was some "confusion". So, I appreciate the follow up and the offer. I upped the stars to 3 for the management's desire to right the problem. read more

I wish there was a way to leave a negative 5 star review. These are the facts, i!go in there with my vehicle running beautifully no problems what so ever. I originally just went in for an oil change but they told me my car that was 25 years old needed an engine flush and a radiator flush and it was going to cost me 250$. Being a 21 year old, who doesn't know anything about cars, agreed because It meant a lot to me that I treated my car perfectly so that I have no problems getting back and forth from school. I told them I'm a very poor man and this is all the money I have in the world. They proceeded to say this was crucial to the wellbeing of my car. I trusted them because they seemed like good, honest people. I leave the shop and immediately my car feels like it is 10 times slower and it starts making different noises. I figured its a good thing because I just paid them $250, anyways the next time I drive the car it continues to get worse and worse so I call a family friend who had been a mechanic for 37 years and he said they destroyed my engine, and that are never NEVER supposed to do an engine flush on a car of my age and that they blew a bearing out of my engine. Long story short, I walk everywhere now and it is ALL THERE FAULT. They completely destroyed my car and ripped me off. So I want them to fix this problem now. BAIT AND SWITCH, I brought my F-150 in for a simple oil change. I'd never been here previously before. I always use Mobil 1 full synthetic and my oil is never super black even after 6,000 miles driven. I'm glad I check my oil monthly. My oil was so black after 3,000 miles (Ford recommends 7,500 miles for my vehicle between oil changes). I knew either they didn't change my oil at all or they used some cheap oil. I have the documentation to prove it. I took my vehicle immediately to a Kwik kar oil change and they confirmed my suspicions. Please see my attachments for the evidence, they checked my oil and found it to be overfilled and extremely black. If you choose this place, stay there and watch them service your vehicle, don't assume... I took the time to write this to warn others. Good review for a not so good reason lol. So please focus on the good part. Came in yesterday for oil & inspection ~ 30min if even that. Fast places make me nervous after another shop on Eldorado costed me $220 from repeatedly pulling off the hose/boot from filter instead of undoing the metal ring properly. Huge hole in one of the folds. Left yesterday & nearly died when I seen a small oil leak. Returned & they cleaned up the little overspill. Good to go. This morning- another leak on the way to practice & another leaving practice. Freaked out. Called back. Thankfully made it back to before closing today. It was one tiny washer ring thing that just needed to be put back on flush. Super thankful they're open extended hours. Super thankful they didn't give every excuse to blow me off & make it my own fault. Super thankful they were friendly each time & didn't complain or have a crappy attitude. It's kinda sad when that's now the norm that customers expect huh? The other woman I spoke to in the waiting area yesterday had nothing but great things to say as well. Great hours & great attitude. I started noticing changes with the service I was receiving, such as, constantly being approached with items I didn't need or even ask for. It always felt like a hustle. I had to stop sending my daughter and mother to this location for oil change, because they kept trying to sell them services the vehicle didn't need. When a different location found my oil filter wasn't tightened from my last oil change, I knew it was time to move my business. The service has drastically changed and change is not always good. I went here for an oil change and they put too much oil in my car. I drove about 50 miles and the car started smoking. When I got home I checked the oil level and it was about an inch above the max fill mark on the dipstick. The car appears to have blown a seal now and has a bad oil leak that will cost a lot of money to fix. Beware! I've spoken with the owner and he is looking into the situation and is going to get back to me. I will update this review when they make it right. ***Update 7/15/2016*** I've changed the rating after seeing that these guys stand behind their work and made things right by paying for the repairs to my car. Mistakes happen and they did what was necessary to rectify the situation and make the customer happy. This is the type of company that I would support with my business in the future. read more

When I arrived I asked for my tires' air to be checked and filled. And according to my receipt both front tires and rear tires was checked. However the low air light was still and when I started the car and it is still one 2 days letter. So they did NOT provide the requested service and lied about it on their receipt They charged me ~180$ for a new battery that was "Bad" (emphasized multiple times) and informed that the price for a battery is not cheaper anywhere else. I've had had no issue with my battery, electricity, or starting my car but opted to trust these guys. Looking now at how the do in fact misinform about their service I just cant trust them on that battery was needed or if I was lied too. TLDR: Charged for a probably unneeded battery with an overprice. Did not render promised service. read more
