To start, Jake showed up a day later than he said he was to bid on the job. Once I told him where I was at with quotes from other companies, he gave me a price that we accepted. He showed up the day he said he would and chopped it all down. The first thing that was unacceptable to us is that his wife showed up to help with their young TODDLER. He was just walking around our property without supervision. I had a hacksaw in the back yard, and he picked it up by the blade and I had to get it from him because they didn't have eyes on him. At the end of the first day, I was grilling food for my family, and we fed them all dinner just as another thank you for helping. They came back out the next day and cleaned up the rest of the debris and he texted me and said he would be back out with a stump grinder to get the roots out. He brought the grinder, and it wasn't big enough for the job. He then said he was going to just cut the stumps down short, which was not the agreed upon plan, and I told him that he was supposed to remove them. He came back with a buddy the next day, picked up the grinder, said he was going to get other equipment to pull the stumps and that he would be back in 2 days. 2 days came and he was a no show. I messaged him and he said he would be there the next day. Didn't happen again. He said he would be there on Friday (the Fourth of July) to do it and apologized. Friday came and he didn't show up. Through this entire thing, I had to be the one to reach out and communicate with him over and over again. We were understanding and patient with him and he completely abandoned the job. We are now stuck with a bunch of stumps to deal with and our plans for this location are shot for the time being. I will not be using him for anything else I have going on and I do not recommend anyone else trust this guy to complete the work that he starts. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.

However, he didn't call or text and didn't arrive until 5:50 PM, bringing a co-worker to show him what needed to be done. I pointed out where to cut, which spots to avoid, and asked him to remove the blackberry bushes and mow the front yard. He agreed and said his co-worker would return the next day at 1 PM, but no one showed up. He called later that day, saying his co-worker had an emergency. We rescheduled for Monday at 1 PM, on Memorial Day. He didn't contact me until later that day, saying he forgot it was a holiday and was at the beach with his family. He promised to come the next day at 2 PM but didn't show up until 3 PM. By then, I was quite frustrated but let him proceed, trusting his promise to do a great job. Unfortunately, the result was far from satisfactory. For the price I paid, I felt I could have done a better job myself. I had to leave that day, trusting him to finish the work, but when I returned, I found he had cut my Bugleweed, Forsythia, Clematis (two of them), and a rabbit fern I had just planted, despite my clear instructions to leave those alone. He claimed he thought the Bugleweed was a weed and wasn't paying attention with the Clematis, Forsythia, and Rabbit Fern. What made it more irritating was that he didn't offer to replace any of the plants. He also lied about removing the blackberry bush roots, which are clearly still there. Another part of our agreement was to mow and spray the front yard with weed killer. When I reached out to confirm if he had done this, he admitted he had "run out" of the spray and hadn't finished the job. He claimed he forgot to inform me before leaving and asked if he could return to complete it. I feel that if I hadn't inquired, he wouldn't have mentioned it at all. I honestly feel scammed and deceived. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with Jose's service and cannot recommend him.

We had Aspen Creek design and install a specialized equestrian irrigation system. The system was…read moresupposed to be protected from freezing but the lines were not pitched properly so several lines did not drain back out as designed. Obviously the water froze and broke several lines. After several phone calls and promises to come out with an irrigation service person, no one ever showed up or called back. Since there was no stated "warranty" on the work, I have no recourse but to hire someone else to fix this. As I've unfortunately read too late in many of these other reviews, this seems to be common.

We asked for hardscaping ideas and they had nothing to offer. Our Rainbird irrigation system leaves bone dry patches and flooded areas so plants die. Aspen Creek replanted the same plants only to die again. We have waited a year for the final design plan and plant list that has never come despite continued promises. Our sod is dying because the soil grade isn't correct. If you want good customer service, timely follow and clear communication, consider other landscaping companies. For what we paid, I would expect far better treatment. We have reached out many, many times, even trying to reach this business owner.

He even graciously hauled off some leftover lumber from a deck repair (by someone else) that had been left behind. He and his crew were polite, professional and punctual.
