Over the years, that carpeted area proved to be impossible to keep clean, and then when we had a baby, our hardwood flooring started pissing us off when all the creaks throughout the house would wake her (she's a light sleeper, lucky us). Lam's Flooring was referred to me by my friend who only purchased flooring materials from David. I reached out because I was looking to change out that carpeted area since our baby could start to crawl and liked to taste anything she could find on the floor (yay), but my husband wanted to redo the hardwood flooring in the rest of the house as well because we were tired of dealing with the creaky noise. David came out, measured everything quickly, and even told us we didn't need to change the hardwood floors (haha) but gave us fair pricing for both options (carpeted area only vs everything). He also said covering the hardwood floor might not solve our issues either. After mulling it over for a while, we decided to do everything, and let me tell you, I wish we changed out the flooring when we first moved in. We went with LVP, which was installed on top of the hardwood flooring (David also had underlayment installed under the LVP) and the floors are SO BEAUTIFUL. PLUS!!! SO. QUIET. Amazing. David's brother, Peter, did the installation with Miguel and one other person, and David initially told me it would take 7 days to complete everything but they finished within 2.5 days instead! That included the flooring itself, installing new base boards, moving furniture/stuff (and we had a lot of stuff), and adjusting our doors. They also vacuumed as they went along so everything felt pretty clean. (Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. Alex went and got a piece of hard plywood to replace a small piece of flooring that had some water damage. His installation crew was open to our ideas on how to move our heavy furniture across rooms so that they could finish 2 rooms on Day 1 and the remaining 2 on Day 2. I've done all the tasks he has done, and although I'm not an expert, my work is hundreds of times better. Save your money and do not hire this person. I have to take him to court. Walls, tile, trim, and paint are all poorly done. He ruined our $2,000 jet tub and didn't inform us. It wasn't until after installing the tile that we fiund out and he said we would repair it, what.
