My husband and I went here to look for tiles for our patio. The guy was nice at first but when he found out that our project will only cost a thousand, just left us, didn't say a word. He attended to a couple that just arrived. We waited but just ignored us. We said thank you before leaving but didn't even look at us. We can't believe that this type of a person still exists. We renovated Vaneity Medical Weight Loss so we could start to offer high end laser services to our patients. After going to 4-5 tile places, this is the only one where I felt the customer service was spot on and I trusted Raul's judgement since he told me this particular tile has been used for showroom floors at the BMW and Mercedes dealers. I went ahead and ordered and had it delivered (by him personally) to our office space around the block from his showroom. This floor is white porcelain with a hint of grey veins, and all our patients say they absolutely love our floors now. We couldn't be happier! read more

Went in to get information and prices on having my bathroom redone. It was a good 10 min before anyone offered to help. Finally a man, who im assuming is Raul, was very curt in his responses to my questions. Very rude and I will not spend a dime here. If you live in Duarte, save your efforts and money. I walked into the store ready to choose a backsplash tile and get an estimate for my new kitchen. Based on the Yelp reviews here, I was very excited to get started. However, when I entered the store, the owner was speaking with some workers, so I took my time to browse the tiles. His helper was sitting in the office with his earbuds in. When he was finally free, he went to the bathroom, gave me all of two minutes, had the helper pull down two samples for me, then immediately got on the phone. Too busy. Nobody helped me. I felt ignored, and that my business would not be appreciated. They will not be adding me and my kitchen to their clientele. :( read more

I first went in to Duarte Tile when we were commencing a complete master bath remodel due to a shower pan leak. The insurance company had given us a contractor who had started the demo but otherwise was not very helpful about materials, etc. I went in to merely pick someone's brain about marble (our "before" shower, tub surround, and counter tops were carrera marble and we wanted to stick with marble). We knew nothing about any of these materials, insurance claims, etc. I told Raul right up front that i already had a contractor and a "marble guy" but just needed information on where to shop, what to look for, what to look out for, etc. Even knowing we were not going to be buying anything from him he could not have been more helpful - and I went back at least 3 times just to get more info and ask more questions. Then, when the original contractor turned out to be unsatisfactory, we went back to Raul at Duarte Tile and asked him if he could help us finish the job. He immediately leapt into action. He set us up with a contact at a marble place in Orange and got us a fantastic deal on the marble (we went with Calacatta Vagli); he got the job going with a variety of plumbers, marble fabricators, floor tile guys, frameless shower door guy, woodworkers, etc. Each of these people was prompt and skilled. There were complicated issues with a spa tub that needed to be re-situated, and an install of a more elaborate body shower system, but everyone he sent our way managed to figure out a way to get the job done. Raul (and sometimes other family members) frequently came by to check on the work and plan the next step. Our bathroom is finished and it looks fantastic thanks in large part to Raul and his crew at Duarte Tile! read more

we had a really great experience with this company. raul, who i believe is the owner, was very courteous and accommodating and the guy who came to do the actual work was very professional, quick, and very accurate. in fact, he told us not to step on the replaced tiles until the next day but he did such a great job, after he left, we couldn't figure out which ones they were! in addition, raul called afterwards to follow up on the job and to see if there was anything else we needed. i asked him to come back once more to add a little bit of grout on a different tile that was slightly chipped, and sure enough, he came back the next week and did it for us free of charge. i would highly recommend this company. read more

I was a little skeptical about shopping here because of the negative review, however, they have a very nice showroom and a huge selection, I also looked them up on Angie's List and all of their reviews there are positive, so I decided to go into this store armed with a few questions that would allow me to decide for myself if I wanted to do business here or not. . I was taken care of by Raul and he was very patient and very informative. I asked him how he would determine the quantity of tile that I needed and he informed me that the if I had my measurements, which I did, he would calculate the quantity of tile needed for my project. My wife and I had a bathroom that we need to do and I gave him the measurements that my contractor had given me, he calculated the tile that I needed. He told me up front that the tile we had chosen was a special order tile and we could not return it once we placed the order. We ordered our tile and had the tile in less than a week. Our bathroom is beautiful, I could not be happier. My contractor broke a couple of the finishing pieces and I had to order the extra pieces. I thought I would have to wait a while to get them, but Raul delivered the extra pieces a couple of days later as he had promised. We have done other tile projects in the past and it has been a nightmare as far as getting additional tile, we've had to wait as long as 4 weeks. I was very pleased with the professionalism at Duarte Tile & Stone. My kitchen is next and we will go back and buy our kitchen from these folks. They have been in the tile business for over 20 years, that says something about a store. They're prices are competitive, they are honest, friendly and will go the extra mile to service you. read more
