I have been holding off from writing this review because I was hopeful that Alex Casimiro (the owner) at Pristine Flooring would honor the promises that he was making, but no such luck. IN A NUTSHELL: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO INSTALL YOUR FLOORS! LL Flooring sent this company to install our floors. Initially we thought they had done a decent job. When we thought they were finished Alex began pressuring us to sign off on the job which we reluctantly did. Less than a week later we discovered the first problem which we made him aware of. He said he would come by and fix it. He did not. The following month I had hip surgery and couldn't communicate with him, but I corrected the problem myself before the surgery, but afterward we discovered two more problems that were way out of our scope of being able to repair so we called him to make him aware of them. After stringing us along for about a month he stopped responding to our tests and phone calls. Despite repeated calls he completely ignored us and left us hanging. This went on for 5 months. This went on until he assumed that I had left a negative review on his Yelp page, which I hadn't yet, but he agreed to come out and fix the two problems and finish the job. That was over 2 months ago and we still haven't seen him and the job still isn't finished. Over this period of time heard every excuse in the book when he decided to respond to our calls and texts. "I was on vacation", " I was in a sales meeting", "I was in a class", "There was a problem with the job before yours", "The dog ate my homework" all of which we heard after he swore on a stack of bibles that he would be coming on a particular time and day. He was lying through his teeth every time he spoke to us and was oblivious to the chaos and havoc he was causing in our lives. Every time he committed to a date and time we would clear our schedules in hopes that he would stick to his word and show up. He is not a man of his word. He is a liar plain and simple. He cannot be trusted. If you have the misfortune to come in contact with Alex Casimiro and Pristine Flooring run away as fast as you can. If you are already involved in a project with him don't sign off on anything until you have checked and double checked the work. No matter how long it takes or how much he pressures you. If you do you will regret it and be in for a world of hurt and a massive waste of your time. All you will have is problems you will have to pay for long after the installation is initially done. There are many flooring installers out there to choose from so don't settle for one that will hang you out to dry. This is definitely one of those cases where one star is one too many to describe how bad of an experience this has been.

(Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. I really wanted to believe that at the very least he and his team will try to provide any rectification, even if it's just to come out again to check on the floor to see what else can be done, like I wouldn't even have mind paying an additional small fee for materials. He took the time to help me choose everything I needed and made sure the materials coordinated perfectly. His customer service and attention to detail made a big difference. We did experience a hiccup with one of the cashiers, which caused a significant inconvenience. However, Seaan stepped in immediately, handled the situation professionally, and provided the appropriate credits. He took care of business exactly the way a strong manager should -- fair, solution-oriented, and respectful. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced…read more Before I paid, the salesperson specifically warned me that tiles from different production batches would have different colors. Because of that, I made it crystal clear that I wanted ALL of my tiles from the SAME batch. I was promised that would not be a problem. After my contractor finished installing and cleaning the floor, we immediately noticed an obvious color difference across the floor. At first glance it may not be obvious, but once you see it, you can't unsee it. A brand-new floor should NEVER look like this. I checked every box myself and discovered that about two-thirds of my order was Batch 1M21, while the rest was Batch 1M35. The store literally mixed two different batches together after promising they wouldn't. The most outrageous part? The correct batch (1M35) is NOT out of stock. They still have more than 140 pieces available. They simply gave me the wrong batch. When I went back to the store expecting them to fix THEIR mistake, the manager refused to take any responsibility. Instead, he told me I had to: * Buy replacement tiles again with only a 20% discount * Pay the transfer fee * Pay the shipping costs * Pay any other related expenses * Contact corporate myself Are you serious? If you truly believe your store did nothing wrong, why offer me a 20% discount in the first place? That tells me you know a mistake was made--you just don't want to take responsibility for it. I paid for matching tiles because your employee promised matching tiles. Your store mixed the batches, not me. Yet somehow I'm expected to pay thousands more to fix YOUR mistake? That is beyond unacceptable. Now I'm left with a brand-new floor that has visible color variation throughout my home because of the store's negligence. Replacing it would mean tearing out a newly installed floor, buying new materials, and paying labor all over again--simply because the store failed to provide what they promised. I would never recommend buying tile from this store. If they make a mistake, don't expect them to stand behind their product or take responsibility. Save yourself the stress, time, and money, and shop somewhere else.

We remodeled our guest bathroom and it was a smooth experience from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout. Freddy, Natalie, and Sam were great and so easy to work with. Honestly, it was a very painless experience. And the bathroom looks amazing. We were initially a bit hesitant about being limited to the showroom's materials but they had a pretty good selection. We did have to make some compromises for the wall tile, since they didn't have exactly what we wanted, but we're still very happy with how it turned out. All in all, I highly recommend EK&B.
