Got a great massage from Dani today. She even have me some after care tips for my left shoulder which is particularly out of wack. I got the CBD oil add on. This is one of the better massages I have had!!! Had a lovely soak after. I've been here at this location a couple times now. The staff and spa associates are always polite, accomodating and welcoming. They do offer a wide array of services - facials, massages, detoxifying wraps and the like. It is rather expensive. Just to warn you. Be prepared for a sales pitch when you leave too. They do have great products, but come on. It's a little too much pressure while I'm in a bathrobe. Plus, the products are very high end (read expensive). I'm so disappointed with my first and last experience at the Ruby Spa. This was a gift from my mom so it's not like I had a monitory stake in it. The actual foot treatment wasn't that bad. I will say that I have a lot of experience from going to the dragon tree and this experience just wasn't as good. The seating was uncomfortable at Ruby. Also, they only have 6 lockers to put your stuff and I was given a key to a locker which was already taken and I witnessed them trying to give out keys to other already taken lockers. Not good! Next, you need a key to get into the soaking pool which is quit a trek to get to and the key card didn't work. Mind you once you pass through the doors to outside where the soaking pool is located you are locked out without a working key. So here we are locked outside in a robe unable to get into soaking pool and unable to get back inside building. Not fun! We were with a large party who had spa services and they were told to watch the outside clock to determine when it was time to have their service. The outside clock was more than an hour off. Next I went to shower off after the soak in he pool and they didn't provide any soap (body or hair) to wash off with. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

I have had a lot of facials, like once a month. One, they use great quality Emminence product from Hungary. I have been using these for years, and they are natural and smell heavenly. The facial was customized to my skin. I was super anxious as I had had a low blood sugar crash in the waiting room (they comped me the lunch that was mis-ordered and brought me juice), but the zen touch of the aesthetician which included a scalp massage and that of my carpal tunnel computer fingers along with the aromatherapy of the products was all I needed for an hour. A 60 min facial will cost you $85, but with this you get a big fluffy robe and towel to go use the outdoor soaking pool which makes this place heaven. read more

This is a great spa that is tuck away in Forest Grove's amazing McMenamins Grand Lodge. The Spa is located downstairs and right next to a little cafe that you can enjoy tea after your massage. The massage therapists are professional, kind, and very accommodating. Bring a bathing suit so that you can go in the salt water hot tub which is AMAZING after a good massage! This place is amazing. So well managed. Everyone is genuinely nice and wanting to make sure you feel relaxed. Jeremy gave me my massage and Jessica gave my sisters hers. We both came out and said it was the best massage we have ever had. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. I am a large woman and the one size fits all would not close around around me, they were able to get me one that did. There was a large gentleman waiting for a massage and they were allowing him to undress in the massage room. The soaking tub after was an amazing bonus. I have been to a number of spas, in many different locations and this by far is my favorite. Mostly because of the quality of people working there. read more

I got a facial with Angela the week before my wedding. She made sure not to use any products that could possibly cause a reaction. I was so relaxed during the facial that I fell asleep twice! I have been in the industry for 10+ years and do not recommended this spa to anyone. They are unorganized, and disrespectful. I am getting married there in a month and went in for my makeup trial recently. Upon leaving they said goodbye and nothing more. Days after I checked my bank account and found that they had charged me $45 without telling me. After calling I found out that you pay seperately for the trial and seperately for the day of makeup. I was never informed about any of this. I have cancelled my appointments there and will not return nor reccomend them to any of my friends or guests at the wedding. There are so many steps they missed in communication. read more

I have spent a lot of time at the McMenamins properties, and I have a special affinity for the Grand Lodge - my first experience with Ruby's Spa was in 2009 at the Edgefield, and I wasn't all that impressed but after a long road trip it was great to get a massage and facial. Moving on. When I had the pleasure of getting a facial at the Grand Lodge in December of 2013 from the Spa Director, Raquel, I was hooked, her treatment skills were amazing, my skin never felt so good and she did not push any product on me or make me feel as though I needed to purchase anything. The next day I went down because I had to have the products she used on me. Again, no pressure selling, she was so knowledgeable about the Eminence product line and I was so impressed with how my skin felt I dropped a wad of cash to get cleanser, toner, a serum, a mask and a moisturizer - look the cost of products up and you'll understand when I say I dropped a lot of cash. Worth every penny spent. Because of Raquel's stellar treatment even through I live in the Seattle area 4 hours away I chose to continue to purchase my products from Raquel, she was amazing about shipping to my home address as well as to another McMenamins while I was in town but unable to get to Forest Grove. Why the one star you ask? Because after being a loyal client, and religiously every three months calling Raquel and getting my product fix, I called to speak with her in December of 2014 and she was no longer working there. Because I love the products so much, and even though I am able to get them elsewhere I thought I would continue to give the staff at Ruby's the opportunity to step up and treat me the way I had been - which was clearly keeping me coming back. I read the reviews and saw Angela was touted with high regard, so I called for her hoping she could be my new go-to girl. The gentleman who answered the phone explained she was not in yet and was booked fairly solid that day but would get her a message and to expect a call either later that evening or the following day, no problem. He then offered to have the new Spa Director Nora return my call. I told him either would have been fine with me. Here is where the 1 star adjusted review comes in. It has now been 5 days I have yet to receive a call from anyone. And I put that responsibility on the Spa Director who should be following up with her staff and anyone who is a client, especially a loyal one like me. Perhaps my business does not matter to the new management as I am not "local" - at any rate, I can get my product elsewhere and will now do so. Sad to say goodbye to my relationship with Ruby's Spa at the Grand Lodge, excellent customer service is key to return business, Ruby's just lost mine. read more

I have a hard time with this. I have gotten great service from Angela who gives an amazing facial but a few months ago I went in and got the worst facial from Wendy. It was uncomfortable because she was so rough. I also got product in my mouth more than once and in the corner of my eyes. Turns out the exfoliating was so abrasive that it broke blood vessels on my face and now I am going to have to see a cosmetic dermatologist to get it fixed. Now a facial is going to cost me hundreds of dollars and my confidence. I don't even know what to say about my level of disappointment and regret for sitting through that facial. read more

We spent the afternoon visiting Ruby Spa @ the Grand Lodge in Forest Grove. The service was exceptional and the staff were both informative and very friendly. If you are looking for something more hoity toity such as a Dosha Spa this is not for you, but if you are looking for a superb massage, Augustine was fantastic, or a facial, Raquel was top notch, then this is the place for you. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back, which in my book is how a spa should be. My daughter and I were impressed with the spa atmosphere and lovely outdoor soaking pool. It was relaxing to soak under the stars and be surrounded by nature. We both had massages with Adria. I showed her the style I wanted and she did exactly that! She asks the right questions and listens to your wants. I am really picky about who I let cut my hair, but after Malerie did my hair for my wedding and my sister/matron of honors hair I knew I trusted her 100% to cut my hair. I wanted my 40th birthday to be special. I'm so happy I choice to spend it at the Ruby Spa! The staff were amazing from scheduling all seven of us with the treatment of our choice to making sure we had everything at our disposal while waiting. Every lady was beyond happy with the products and expert treatments they received. I was even able to order food and drinks for us to enjoy in a private room. Because it was a large group, we were scheduled into two smaller groups and took advantage of the soaking tub whiIe waiting.
