Be careful driving in/out. It is on a highway where traffic moves well above the posted limit of 50 mph.

The sweetest little stop just outside of Olympic National Park! Came in for ONE thing and left with a ton. Definitely a must to stop by here on your way into the wilderness and very friendly!! Ps. They do sell cigarettes if that's what you're lookin for!! read more

I travel to Port Angeles a few times a month from the Tacoma area and always enjoy stopping by this grocery. They have a great variety of neat items and snacks, and I can pick up items easily for the journey back to Pierce County. Very nice staff and awesome prices. read more

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE McPhee's! When I first moved out to Port Angeles, I felt so displaced!! And McPhee's made me feel like I could go back home again(even if it was only via by cooking)! I consider myself a Cali(Filipina) girl at heart and it was a total culture shock moving out to the Peninsula. I missed the food from back home and thought OMG, how am I going to recreate our family favorites out here in the boonies(well at least that's how it felt like to me)!! Low and behold, my brother in law directed me to McPhee's! He said if there's any place that would have what your looking for McPhee's would be the spot! OMG, he was not kidding! At first look you see a green building at the corner with what looks like 3 white garage doors! There's a big ice chest cooler right by the door.. and the door is always open! Once you walk in.. your transported to a mecca of international delights! There's Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, Mexican, Russian, Indian, Chinese and Greek food items! They have sauces, powder, mixes, snacks, candies, drinks and some frozen items that you wouldn't expect them to carry like lumpia wrappers, banana leaves etc). Honestly it like walking into a mini mart that had stuff you would expect from H Mart, Seafood City or a 99 Ranch Market, but in a smaller scale(of course)! Even thou the store itself is not that huge, you would be surprised to find and see the selection and variety they have to offer here! And if you don't see or can't find the item your looking for; just let them know at the counter and they'll gladly try and find and order that for you! They also have a pretty good selection of imported beers! They also carry a wide array of spices on the back wall! The isles are a bit narrow, but they are trying to fit in a lot in that small space! The store itself is well lit and there is a sense of organized chaos! The isles closer to the front of the door are your Asian specialty items and the latter half has your European items. I was able to find noodles to make pancit, the packets to make Sinigang and the wrappers to make lumpia! McPhee's is truly a WONDERFUL, AWESOME TREASURE in Port Angeles! You'll find most of the things your looking for to recreate your authentic meals you crave from home(like I did)! Everyone is friendly and helpful too! Great little grocery with a very good selection of ethnic items. Prices for most ethnic items are much more competitive than a traditional grocery. For example, Garam Masala $8 at Safeway vs $4 here. Love that they have stuff that I would otherwise have to travel to Poulsbo for. Mexican, Asian, Eastern European goods and local wines! Don't miss this place! read more

This place was such a nice surprise. They are not your usual grocery store but they have a good selection of foods from all kind of countries (Moldova, Latvia, Russia, some Asian countries). The lady at the counter was fun to talk to, friendly, and very knowledgeable about what she sold. read more

More than just a corner store!! Any ethnic food you need...it's there!!! Also prices are significantly lower that local supermarket. Great for a quick milk, bread run....ALSO.. I was shocked. I have bought cigarettes at Mcphee's for several years because they were the cheapest. But recently, I went into the store near closing time, bought my cigarettes and other item, then forgot I had to buy a lighter so I rushed back with exact change in hand to buy it, but they had locked the door. I knocked on the door with exact change in hand for just a BIC lighter. But a man, short brown hair and beard, said to me after I said- "can I just buy a lighter real quick, since you just now closed? He rudely and curtly replied- "No were closed", and closed the door in my face. Wow, if this is how McFee's operates, if this is how Mcfee's treats long time customers, then I need not inconvenience McFee's further with my patronage, nor recommend McFee's to anyone else. Thanks for the exceptionally rude treatment, no reason for it, McFee's does not really care about good customer service apparently, so I will take my business elsewhere. read more
