the interior of a sweet spot
    Tammy E.

I love this froyo spot!! It really is the sweet spot! The only thing that would make this place better is if they shifted their hours. I would come here for breakfast if I could. If they were open from 9am-2pm and 4pm-8pm that would be ideal! I actually crave ice cream and froyo much more in the colder months than in the summer. I have found that ice cream and froyo businesses in Seattle seem to be favored by folks like me in the colder months as well. Everything in this shop is clean and tables are spaced out if you decide to eat inside. They have a good number of exciting flavors and toppings for days! The girl working here when we came in was very friendly and helpful. We started a punch card (obviously!) and will be be back next chance we get!

Vanilla soft serve with strawberries, peaches, and whipped topping

I got caught up in the idea of trying this place, especially after seeing the check-in offer. They let me sample the Dole pineapple soft serve, but it just tasted too strong for me. I ended up getting vanilla and putting peaches and strawberries on it because they seemed like the most appealing toppings, but it's just not as good as when the fruit is all blended in like the New Zealand style ice cream I tried recently. It's very kid friendly, and there are a lot of toppings to choose from. The frozen yogurt is good, but not any better than any other soft serve. Unless you're really into the idea of adding a lot of toppings, the price isn't going to be worth it to you. Also, I had a heck of a time getting the employee I was asking questions to speak up and had to ask her to repeat multiple times. It's something to keep in mind that not everyone hears well.

Two very different fro-yo toppings on two very similar mixes of the yo!

Very clean. Exactly what you expect from Fro-Yo joints. Rotating flavors with a bazillion toppings to choose from. They are doing their part not handing out cups until the client sanatizes their hands. My friend actually had to do hers a second time because of a change in gals at the register and the second gal, she wasn't having a good day, a little snapping turtle. Still, it was fro-yo and the temp. was a welcome relief to the heat wave happening outside. Would definitely return.

So on their punch cards, they state "buy 10 and get the next one free".....
    Elemi L.

So their punch card says "buy 10 and the NEXT 16 oz. is free". We purchased our 11th froyo. The young man stated he needs to write free on the first card, gave me back the full punched card and gave me another punch card with the 11th froyo purchased and stated we would get our 12th froyo free. " he didn't write the rules, all you need to know is your next one is free" - per the young man working February 14th, 2019 evening. The punch card specifically says "buy 10 and get the next 16oz. free". If the punch cards are not honored by the business that produced them, that's fine. I just think it's rude not to honor your own punch card that I've been carrying around from for my daughter. This evening my nine year old learned that not all businesses honor their own promotions, definitely going to share this disappointment with her friends and I'll have to share with other parents. What do you think? Has anyone else had this experience with this business? UPDATE: Apparently they do honor their promotional punch card. And the rude response I received just for asking questions was addressed? I'll say it again, because this was still over looked. It should be OK not to know the answer to questions customers may ask. It's nothing to get defensive about. No one knows the answers to everything. Yes, I've never forgotten, we're all human. We all make mistakes and we all miscommunicate from time to time. I had a feeling the rudeness was either taking a bad day out on me or nervousness not knowing the answers to my questions. But I wasn't sure what was going on. Thanks for clarifying the nervous reaction. Please know you don't have to be nervous about my questions, I'm just asking for clarification and if you don't know, that's totally ok with me. Like I said, no one knows everything, that's why I ask questions. That being said, we did invite a whole group of about twenty to meet us there a few weekends ago and we had a much better experience. thanks!

This place is great! Many great flavours and toppings. There is plenty of seating, and the cashier was polite. However, this place is very expensive! It was $12 for our two frozen yogurts. However to be fair, our containers were pretty full. Would I come back? Yes, but only if it was really hot out.

    Fun & Yummy

Super great flavors but a bit on the pricey side. Nice treat on a hot day in Sequim. Service is top notch.

I can't remember ever having clam chowder as good and the fish tacos are absolutely loaded with fish. They have beer and cider on tap, great prices and wonderful staff that are always friendly and welcoming. If you love seafood this place will not disappoint!

On the way to Victoria via the Black Ball Ferry, we opted for a quick stop at Salty Girls in Sequim…read morefor lunch. This was on a Friday and the place was empty when we got there at 11:30. Ordering is usually done via QR code, but they are also happy to orders at the register. One thing to note: on our visit, the restaurant left the front door open and didn't turn on heating so we found it rather cold inside. Clam Chowder in Sourdough Bread Bowl ($14) - Salty Girls has one of the best preparations for chowder bread bowls I've encountered. They expertly hollow out the center as much as absolutely possible, leaving maybe only half an inch of bread on the sides (I think they use the trimmings to make their homemade croutons). This allows them to ladle in the maximal amount of clam chowder, much more than most I've had in the past. While I believe the bread is some commercial one, it has a distinct, but light, sourdough taste and doesn't have the overwhelming taste of stabilizers and preservatives that some bread bowls run into. It's toasted very nicely, giving a fantastic crust, while the interior bread remains light rather than dense, yet holds up to the chowder well. The chowder itself is pretty good. It's thickened, but still just runny enough to not feel like it's been over reduced. Not clumpy or super heavy as some other chowders. There's a strong herbal quality in the mix, combined with large pieces of clam and bacon. The amount of clam isn't very generous, but there's enough of the chewy mollusk to get at least a piece per spoonful. Lots of tender diced potato chunks complete the chowder. There's by far the most potato in terms of ingredients in this dish, making it very carb heavy. The chowder is served steaming hot and remains quite hot for a long while even in the cold air of the restaurant. (4/5) Crab Melt ($18) - Interesting open faced sandwich, with the crusty heel portion of a ciabatta roll, toasted until crispy on the flats, but still softer on the interior, albeit thin. It's topped with an ice cream scoop of crab salad. The salad is essentially tuna salad with the crab substituted for tuna. This means there's a ton of crab and not much filler - plenty of sweet shreds of crab meat, mixed with a couple of crunchy pieces of celery in a creamy sauce. The crab salad is then topped with cheese, then the entire creation is broiled until the cheese on top becomes bubbly and the cheese that flows down the sides of the bread becomes essentially a crunchy cheese skirt. Something to note, not necessarily a negative, is that the center of the crab salad scoops remains cold, which is in stark contrast to the warmed exterior. The dish comes with a side of ridged kettle chips. Robustly crunchy, simply salted. Surprisingly good to dip into the clam chowder in fact. (4/5) Salty Girls definitely serves some good seafood dishes. I certainly wouldn't mind returning the next time I'm in Seqium.
