I was still a little skeptical, so I called back to verify that the doctor could had a postpartum visit. I was assured it wasn't a problem and that the appt would take 15-20 minutes. I waited 40 minutes to have vitals taken and be shown to the room. I was told the doctor was running a bit behind but would see me by noon. By 20min after noon, I'd not been seen. The medical assistant who took my vitals said she needed to ask the doctor, but she never got back to me. When the doctor arrived he was personable, but brief. I found him professional and thorough I would have given four stars for the care, but the staff and poor timing dragged down the rating. My suggestion, carefully pre-screen the last week l

We're just finding out over two years later that he and the…read morepsychiatrist he referred me to overloaded me on a mix of EIGHT different POISONS over the course of THREE MONTHS: an antidepressant, benzos, Lunesta. an antipsychotic and ordered 2 different anti seizure meds, which I refused. All this stemming from ONE panic attack that led to the inappropriate prescribing of these POISONS; not once did any of these lessen my symptoms, but rather worsened them and presented new ones which led to more drugs and new false diagnoses. And the worst, an attempted OD that left me hospitalized. But first: I was only on levothyroxine for years, and after ONE panic attack he had me STOP it for 4 days, then restart it at 50%, a drastic reduction after being stable for decades. He then gave me Xanax, mirtazapine, busparone all within 2 weeks and didn't stop there. He did not once appear to monitor the effectiveness and potential paradoxical effects, which we now know was the case: the drugs worsened the symptoms they were designed to treat. Both my husband and I both left his " practice" due to the aforementioned incompetence and unjustified arrogance of his refusal to refer me to an endocrinologist once another physician ( granted, a former anesthesiologist turned wellness MD) ordered blood labs that showed a high level of thyroid antibodies leading to a Dx of Hashimotos. (Aside: Kahane also declined my request for a referral to a dermatologist to remove my husband's skin tags, claiming he could do it... we were horrified when he proceeded to numb him with lidocaine and cut the 30+ of them with a scalpel, which by the way my husband felt, rather than cauterize them as we had anticipated. I went from living a HEALTHY and productive life as a physical therapist and athlete to being mostly bed bound and suffering from a myriad of major medical problems. Look up the dangers of not tapering these poisons, as well as lingering effects on the nervous system, BIND ( benzo. Induced neurologic dysfunction), kindling... find Dr. Josef on YouTube. Got more out of him from an hour video than sessions with this incompetent "doctor".

She believes in preventative care and is extremely professional. Her offices are clean and well run, she truly cares about her patients, and she is easy to talk to. Since money was always an issue for me, she went out of her way to give me samples or discount coupons on my prescription medications, when they were available. She also made sure to discuss every aspect of life with me that would affect my health; such as diet, stress, excercise, family history, and overall well being. She has also given me excellent referrals and worked with my insurance companies to make sure that my preventative care is covered. Sometimes her office staff and nurses can be pushy or rude, since she is in a shared office complex with other doctors.

She was extremely rude and I can't believe someone is even allowed to be in practice with no knowledge of hormones in women's bodies. JANET LAM, APRN - This might be Labcorp's doing OR Janet L.'s fault, but I had asked for specific levels on my lab work that were not completed as asked. I had my primary physician confirm that these levels were not checked in the labs. DANA HAMTINI, NP - My third experience was another nurse practitioner who has only been in practice for a year. I was addressing my low thyroid levels/lab results and she essentially gaslit me trying to say that the levels weren't "that abnormal" when I was trying to explain that I have reason to believe that we should keep an eye on it. She quite literally said, "I can't just give you medication for something you don't have." when I hadn't even suggested medication. I was expressing that it should be looked into further, but I was basically shut down. Unprofessional and clearly not in health care for the right reasons.

The man behind the counter was rude and unhelpful, took calls and helped other clients without providing any additional information, other than, pay the co-pay. I will never handle my health affairs at this clinic or any MCR clinic since this is how they treat non insurance patients.

Akin to visiting a 3rd world clinic where you are treated like an indigent nobody and left to wait…read moreridiculous amounts of time and still not see anyone. Not sure about the actual health care because after arriving 15 minutes early for my appointment, I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes until I could no longer wait. People were jammed in like sardines in the waiting room and also all along the wall outside the waiting room. Ridiculous in the age of Covid that this place overbooks to this degree and expects people to wait 45 minutes or more. There was one lady with expiring insurance who had already waited over 2 hours. I have no idea how much longer I was going to wait before seeing someone because in my mind 45 minutes was plenty long enough. After 45 minutes I asked that my co-pay be refunded to my card and I left. This is dermatolgy, not like it is an emergency room where something unexpected like a bus crash impacting an ER might be the cause of a long delay. Nope. This long delay was due simply to the greed evident when signing up way more people for appointments than they can reasonably accomodate. This is part of the MCR (Manatee Rural Health) network now and it shows. Same lack of caring, hard if not impossible to get someone on the phone or line up referrals or get a straight answer. I was also told that this appointment was only for a 'meet and greet' type visit with a doctor, not what I thought I was booking and just a blatant cash grab to get you to return so they can bill your insurance again and charge you a high co-pay. I was there to get a suspicious small growth removed. It doesn't take a 'meet 'n greet' to just go ahead and take care of the issue I am there for.

It was subsequently diagnosed that I had been suffering from a severe urinary tract infection for approximately one month. The sole positive aspect of Dr. Walsh is his willingness to prescribe controlled substances when necessary for pain and anxiety. I decided to terminate my association with him as my healthcare provider and am grateful that I discontinued the controlled medication he had prescribed for several months. I regard him as an incompetent, uncaring physician. No thank you.

They maintain Covid safety procedures which makes me feel safe. Every single person I've worked with from the staff answering phones, nurses and my APRN have been excellent. They all seem to really care about the patients and doing what they can to help. I am very happy to come here because I know they will do their best for me.
