    Looks can be deceiving!

Food is GROSS. & the service was pretty lame as well. Brought me the wrong thing. No sauce I asked for. Or pickles. And POTATOES ARE NOT PICKLES. Will never come here again.

Stopped for Saturday lunch. A nice little spot. Not too busy. Plenty of sports on TV. The bartender was running the whole joint. He had three at the bar and three tables. He did spectacularly. Better than most waitstaff I've seen lately. Friendly. On the ball. Helpful. He mentioned that he had a special on loaded potato soup. On a drizzly December Saturday, we were sold. Bowls, please. Delicious. We followed with salads. I opted for the Michigan salad; mixed greens, dried cherries, Granny Smith apples, and gorgonzola cheese. I added grilled chicken and subbed in balsamic for the original raspberry vinaigrette. It was loaded up and delish. I had to take half home. The hubs got the BIG salad, which was basically a loaded up chef salad, with bleu cheese dressing. He liked it, but I think he regretted not ordering mine. It's definitely a stop we will make again

Best crab cakes I've ever had! Don't judge this place just because it's a pub, their kitchen is churning out some great food. There is a happy hour, and consistent specials and trivia nights. Inside is laid-back and non-pretentious, with lots of places to sit and lots of TV screens

We came here for a drink after a concert. I have driven past here a few times and decided to stop here for a drink. It is a local spot with people who know each other. It was late(1am) so it seemed to be pretty laid back. They had casual and friendly conversation. We had a drink, watched TV and chatted with the people and staff. There was also a pool table. The waitress was friendly. I will plan on stopping in soon to grab a bite to see how the food is and the atmosphere during earlier hours. Overall it was a good visit.

Then we started to think about food and the server recommended the artichoke dip with homemade flatbread. It was absolutely amazing. The place is cool and the vibe is pretty chill. We were here in December so the patio wasn't open but looks roomy with many picnic tables. We opted to sit at the bar because that's usually where we get personal with brew pubs we love to discover. We always search local brews when traveling and 9/10 times the bartender will greet us, ask if we've been there, make recommendations or tell us a bit about the brewery style. Not here. I'm not sure the bartender ever even made eye contact and pretty sure he wanted to be there even less than he wanted us to be there. We did get a few beer samples by request, but no recommendations, he didn't ask what we thought and he made us feel very unwelcome right from the start. However, once that bartender was relieved the new bartender was chatty and friendly to the new customers. We had finished our beers and meal by that time and just needed to cash out. So I would say maybe it's just that one employee. We had the pretzels. Kudos to the pretzel bread-- it was delicious. Beer cheese was pretty good, as was the mustard. We asked about the menu and what he recommends (still trying to be friendly and get him to warm up). He recommended the special menu, so we ordered the Blackened Salmon sandwich. It was okay/average. Fries were cold. We ordered the Table Talk beer and I enjoyed it. I'd say that the beer was the best part of the whole experience. Overall I'm glad we tried it but we wouldn't go back. If the bartender had been more welcoming and interested in sharing a bit more about the concept, we would give it a second try when we head out there again. It's always good to try other food items and beers, but the vibe doesn't warrant a second try. I can understand if a place is busy, but we were there at 2pm on a Saturday and were two of four at the bar and he didn't look to be super busy with the restaurant as a whole. It's always so disappointing when service falls so short on something that could be such a unique experience. Three stars for the beer and pretzel.

We enjoy the liveliness of sitting in the bar/lounge area and tonite we were able to get a nice table. It is always hard to choose as they have a diverse menu of options. My wife ordered the Spaghetti Estivi: House made spaghetti tossed with fresh zucchini, yellow squash, Parmesan, shallots and crumbled bacon in a creamy lemon ricotta sauce. Finished with toasted pine nuts. The flavors were very good, fresh, rich and creamy. Portion was generous. I had the Chicken Parmesan: pan fried chicken breasts, mozzarella cheese served with angel hair pasta. The chicken was cooked perfectly, tender, flavorful as was the angel hair pasta. The clientele is always older folks, and it definitely has a kind of 90s Italian restaurant vibe, but the food is great, service is legit, and the prices aren't bad for what you get. My favorites so far have been: - Rigatoni and Country Greens - Papardelle (seasonal with sausage, peas, mushrooms, pecorino) - Roasted apple and fig salad - A seasonal bruschetta thing with pears and burrata Their desserts are solid, so far we haven't had anything incredible. I wish their tiramisu was out of this world (it's our favorite), but it's not the best I've had. (Needs more espresso, was kind of dry). The chocolate mousse was good, but much more dense/thick than expected. Their cocktails are solid and they have a nice wine list, including a fun alcohol-removed sparkling wine that I've enjoyed twice now. This is becoming a staple when we just want a nice meal out since we live nearby. Good place to take family or folks from out of town if you don't want to bother booking somewhere that gets super busy or dealing with downtown parking/traffic.
