We had great service the Saturday afternoon we visited. The views are amazing from the rooftop and the ground floor. There was a DJ playing on the rooftop during our visit. Our server was great. The espresso martini was very sweet and had no layer of foam. The Guac tasted fresh. The apps are high priced, but you are paying for the view and good service. I know the area very well been spending the last four years here. Decided to check out the spot me and four other ladies here until our cruise comes up. We decided all hope we get the hamburger. It was good., however, we were charged for every little thing. The bacon was three dollars. I thought that was a little atrocious. I believe the Berger was 19 but by the time everything was ordered, it was $29 a little steep. But the service was great. We were there two days in a row. Will be coming back. Yes we love the area. We stay right next-door. The view from the patio was amazing. It overlooks the beach. Will definitely be back in a few more months. We like to stay in this area before our cruise ! read more

The location of McSorley's Beach Pub provided a perfect view of beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach. We went there on a stormy day and enjoyed watching the waves crashing onto the shore as we ate our lunch. The Strawberry Salad was of a decent size and had a variety of toppings, including candied walnuts, feta cheese, and cherry tomatoes. The waitress came by often to refill our drinks. read more

During our Fort Lauderdale pub crawl, we stumbled, litterally, onto this lower bar with a strangly inviting stairway to the rooftop bar. Slowly approaching the top, I caught a whiff of beer and a strong scent of weed with 1980s NWA tunes playing. We were immediately greeted by the two bubbly bartenders. We took a seat at the bar and quickly received a heavy pour of Vodka cocktails. A few other patrons were scattered about the bar. We walked out to the balcony which overlooked the amazing Fort Lauderdale beach. The DJ was playing music on the adjacent balcony where there were several tables and a second bar but no dancing yet. The bathroom was modern black on black and clean. This is my kind of bar - simple with music and stiff drinks. Valet parking is available at the Sonesta Hotel next door or public parking nearby for about $25 - $40. read more

This two story restaurant reminded me of a gastro glamour pub on steroids. The downstairs bar was very simplistic with a decent sized bar and TVs on the walls. The staircase leading to the roof top bar was where my friend and I were headed. I could hear the DJ playing old rap songs as I got closer to the top without twisting my ankle. The bartenders greeted us and sat down and immediately she rattled off some drink deals and food options. Not eating here but ordered some cocktails which the bartender prepared right in front of us. Prices were decent during happy hour. Not many craft beer options but several domestics. Gorgeous view of the beach from the open patio where the DJ was playing. We came solely for drinks and karaoke. The rooftop view is beautiful and chill. Got there around 7:30pm and had drinks looking out at the beach on the rooftop until 9pm. Karaoke started at 9pm. Karaoke host is fun and upbeat and all things a karaoke host should be. I sang a bunch of songs as my partner clapped along and a good night was had. read more

I have been coming here for years and popped in after my bartender shift with my boyfriend and our bartender "T" was extremely rude from the beginning when I arrived. Ignored me when I asked to order and my boyfriend was making conversation and gave him major attitude and ignored us when we wanted to close out. We went to McSorley's Beach Pub for karaoke night to celebrate my husband's birthday, and it was such a good time! The vibe is definitely laid-back and lively--exactly what you want for a casual night out by the beach. Karaoke was a blast, with a great mix of singers, fun crowd energy, and a host who kept things moving and entertaining. Drinks were strong (always a plus!) and reasonably priced, and the bartenders were quick and friendly even though it was busy. the disrespect I experienced here is unreal. came in for a soda and pizza with friends only to have the most unpleasant and inattentive service in my entire life. firstly, there seemed to be no waitress/waiter coming around so we went inside to grab the attention of the bartender lady who said she would help. ordered 3 sodas and they were not even delivered to our table somehow... we waited for the sodas just to turn around and see they were placed on a table several spots behind from where we were sitting. on top of that no one was even sitting at that table in the first place.. we waited a bit to see if maybe it was for someone else but we were certain those were for us as there were not many people. we got up OURSELVES and grabbed our sodas back to our table. our pizza was then delivered after by someone else. we were not checked on once the whole time we were there since we placed our order, we never saw anyone come to our table since. not even the bartender lady who took our orders. at the end of it all, she became super disrespectful as my friend did not add a tip to the check. it was not done to be personal, but simply since there was a lack of service and respect . she refused to give him a receipt and told us to "get the **** out of my face." quite a first impression of this place and safe to say i don't recommend it unless you're looking for bad service and food or you're a tourist who doesn't know that fort lauderdale has many better bars/pubs than this one. save yourself the time and energy, this place OR the staff is not worth it. read more

We were served what seemed like old french fries. The fries were slightly warm and dry, like they had sat out and were slightly reheated. I mentioned it to the waitress and she brought out our bill and never even apologized that we were unsatisfied with our food. She handed me the card reader bill and walked away. Rude! There are lots of places to eat. Find somewhere else! read more

McSorley's karaoke was a blast! We celebrated my girlfriend's 60th private birthday party there yesterday on the top deck and had brunch and cocktails all day while singing our favorite songs. We ate here for dinner, very casual atmosphere on A1A. Food is not expensive, They have the usual Irish fair and as well as lot of simple dishes like Burgers and wings. Everything we had tasted great! I honestly think they could use more staff. They had one person doing everything when we were there. Called and was told live music was playing until 1pm. Walked almost 15 minutes to the location only to be told that they closed and that must have been a drunk customer that answered the phone. Horrible service! Also, I question why they don't show their menu on their website. May be as bad!!!! read more

Don't keep me waiting more than 10 minutes while I'm seated at the bar with literally 4 other people-- two different men on either side of me were acknowledged while I sat there twiddling my thumbs. I'm kind of hard to miss being between the two. All I wanted was a beer. No eye contact, nothing. I will bring my money elsewhere. read more

Ducked in here to avoid the (temporary) rain storm. Had some nice local beer on tap and a bunch of delicious food. Managed to have potatoes three ways! Potato Skins: Classic pub food! Enough potato to be a little pasty, but still remain skin-centric. Huge mound of cheese inside. A few bits of bacon for good measure. Really good with the sour cream on the side. Bangers & Mash: Wow, these were definitely the highlight. The brown gravy and caramelized onions were packed with flavor! They really livened up regular old mashed potatoes. And the bangers (i.e. sausages) were tasty too. They weren't too breakfast-y or hot dog-y, more like proper short and chubby banger. Paired great with gravy too. Fish and Chips: The chips were on the thinner side, like regular old American fries. Didn't come with vinegar by default, but I snagged bottle I saw hiding behind the bar. The fish was one *huge* piece with a flaky inside and nice crispy batter. A few bits of dark meat, so fishy at times. read more

I ordered the $36 lobster mac and cheese, which tasted like spiral pasta covered in Velveeta cheese sauce with a few pieces of lobster mixed in. It was bland, disappointing, and nowhere near worth the price. I took two bites and pushed it away. When we politely expressed our dissatisfaction with the food, the bartender's response was, "Well, just don't tip me then." Mistakes happen, but the combination of serving clams in a vegan dish, poor food quality, and an incredibly dismissive attitude made this one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a very long time. I won't be returning.
