Would this be a good place to host girls night?

Hi Michelle, We would be a GREAT place to host a girls night out. We currently have our Frisky Friday's Ladies Night on Friday Nights w/ DJ O_GEEZ, with "lady friendly" drink specials and specialty beverages. We can also book your "Girls Night Out"… Read more

They have a decent craft beer selection that changes every few weeks although they tend to be pretty IPA-heavy.

I've known this corner strip mall bar since it was Buddy's, Side Street Saloon and Brady's, whether…read moreit was for Wing's to go, beer to go, karaoke, live music or just a night out for drinks with friends. It was always a simple/sorta dive neighborhood bar with good wings, good people and simple beers on tap. I stopped in on a recent Friday afternoon with a group of 17-20 people to check out the new "Slim's". The bar area itself looked renovated and the rest of the seating areas looked like they just cleaned up and added some badly needed lighting. The girl at the bar had to be very new or just lazy. She really didn't know the menu, was vaping by the register, didn't seem interested in helping anyone but her regulars, had customers buying her drinks and gave me my tab with no details. I'm a pretty tolerant guy, but she was not an asset to the owner at all. She was a total liability and waste of space. She anchored herself behind the bar looking at her phone until someone acknowledged her. We ordered the homemade taco dip with tortillas - the dip was cold and looked to be store bought in a plastic container with some dip thrown on top. Mozzarella sticks were awful and again the sauce was cold. I ordered the lambchops myself which said they came with "slim fries". I asked the bartender what slim fries were and she didn't have a clue. They were just crinkle cut fries. I enjoyed the lamb chops, but they were very salty and spicy. Spice doesn't bother me, but it should be added as a note on the menu. They had "Slim's beer" on tap which the bartender claimed was the owners own beer. It had to be either a Coor's or a Miller product. It was not very good. Either their lines aren't cleaned weekly or biweekly like they should be or it's just a macro beer with their own name on it. Quite a few customers I chatted with said the wings are still good, so I'll have to try them sometime if I'm in the neighborhood. Sadly, we all left hungry after an hour or so to go to a different establishment (we were much happier at the second place). We paid all of our checks without an issue, but the service and the product were far under expectations. There is a lot more effort needed at Slim's for them to get my business again.

First time I visited was for lunch. As soon as I saw the menu, I knew I needed to order the Wild Scotch Egg (difficult to find). I also had the half portion of Fish and Chips. The Wild Scotch Egg consisted of hard boiled egg and sausage, which was panko fried, sitting on Guinness fondue and crisp arugula, topped with Parmesan crisps. I really enjoyed this. The outer breading was light and satisfyingly crispy, while the egg and sausage interior was expertly cooked, tender and well seasoned. Cheesy fondue sauce was rich and creamy. Parmesan crisp was a nice, tasty touch. The beer battered Fish and Chips were also yummy. Fish was succulent, perfectly flaky and flavorful, while the Steak Fries were wonderfully crunchy, full of true potato taste. I knew I needed to return in order to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding, one of my all time favorite desserts. This was served warm, with Earl Grey tea date sponge cake, paired with sweet sticky toffee sauce and clotted cream. So deliciously mouthwatering and decadent! Service was good. The waiter was warm and easy to talk with. Everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were quite reasonable. I'm glad I came across this place to have my fill of some British classics!

The roast beef was chewy and just gross. I'm assuming if you are a few drinks deep, you don't notice how bad the food is because there is no reason for this place to be four stars.

Overflowing the bun. Cooked to perfection crispy and juicy. The "pretzel garlic knots" wear VERY good however they were just garlic knots with no pretzel color or flavor. Very good garlic knots and a banging cheese sauce but not pretzel like we expected. We came on a trivia night and the place filled up by the time we were ready to go. Bailey's staff is on top of things, friendly and engaging. Located across the street from Richmans ice cream and burgers just by five points in Levittown.
